Ireland Tours Next Year?

I have much to do which is probably the reason why  I can't sleep. A couple of hours from now, we will go to Laguna and just take a break with the rest of the YC gang. It is our 3rd year anniversary as a group and so the whole group decided to celebrate it somewhere else other than where we usually celebrate it at.  So even if there is a typhoon we will proceed with our plans because we already paid for the resort and we already made arrangements for the vehicle that we are going to use.  To be honest, if it was my choice, I would rather stay at home and rest because my work is 6 days a week and this weekend is the weekend where I can take a rest. However, hubby has been urging me to go since our daughters will have so much fun swimming.  So anyways, we will leave a couple of hours from now and I still haven't packed yet. I suppose if we will be going on one of those a ireland tours or australia tours, I would have already packed.  Hehe! But since it is only an overnight trip I only have to bring a few things so I feel I can do it fast...probably in less than an hour. This is the reason why I haven't packed yet plus the fact that I am still so tired because of work and my daughter's party yesterday.   I already told my husband for next year, instead of celebrating our daughters' birthday separately, we can opt to have a joint celebration since their birthdays are only a month apart or we can go to travel machu picchu just the 4 of us. I think he liked the idea of traveling next year. Yey!Hopefully, my daughter's pedia will give the go signal. She thinks my youngest is still too young to travel.

Linggo Ng Wika

The whole student body was asked to come in last Friday wearing any kind of Filipino costume. I was surprised to see that some really went all out. As in! Here is a picture of my daughter and her best friend and another friend. As you can see, we did not went all out because I did not have any time to look for a really nice Filipiniana costume.  I will make it up to her next year. Hehe!

Needing Costume Jewelry Necklaces For School

My eldest daughter has lots of activities in school. On Friday, the students are all asked to wear a Filipino costume.  Since her old costume no longer fits her, we were supposed to buy her a new one but then we decided to just borrow the old costume of her cousin M because we do not want to spend 500 bucks for a thing that she will only wear once. It is a good thing that her cousin's costume fits her.  Admittedly, the only thing missing is one of those costume jewelry necklaces. It will give her outfit the edge.  Next week, my daughter is asked to bring a long sunday dress, sandals, a shoulder bag, hanky, brush or comb,designer Inspired jewelry, small mirror, powder and cologne. For what purpose? I do not really know yet. Maybe they will teach these young girls to behave properly while wearing a dress. This is what I like about this school. They do not focus on the academic but they also teach these young girls personality development. I do not really have any problem with the things she is asked to bring except for designer Inspired jewelry because I do not think I have any here.  So I checked the net and I was pleasantly surprised because I came upon finderskeepersjewelry.net.  They have a wide array of designer inspired jewelry without the price tag that usually comes with it. Yey!

Bank Checks Signed

Yesterday, I experienced my first mancom. I think I did very well for for a first timer. I presented my programs for the whole company and they were all enthusiastic about each one which means that I have more tasks to deal with.  Actually, the time set for the mancom was 2 hours because there was another meeting scheduled immediately afterwards.  So since the time was super limited, the interviews (panel interview) started first and then the presentation afterwards.  I noticed that the during the interview they were also signing bank checks and order checks.  That's what I call multi tasking.  So anyways, after the panel interviews were done and my presentation, issues were discussed next. I can't really say what it was about. But what I can say is one of the issues were forgery on personal checks. This came as a shock because we are not a financial institution but issues such as these still come out.  In the end, I was able to come home at 5:30. Actually,  I was in the office at 5:10 pm which made me happy because I can come home to my daughter who turned 1 yesterday though her celebration is going to be on Saturday.   When I came home she looked so happy that everything that I went through that day was worth it. 

Happy Birthday Anak

Before I start my day at the office, I would like to greet my baby girl a happy, happy birthday. I wish I could be with you right now but mommy has to attend a very important meeting. I will be back as soon as I can and I will be bringing you a very special surprise. I love you anak. I will make it up to you I promise.

Excited To See Rifle Scopes

One of the things I am busy with now is the biometric fingerprint enrollment of our employees.   Since we have two offices, it is kind of confusing what user id number to assign to each employee. We are careful not to assign the same user ID number to two employees. We solved that by assigning the even numbers here and the odd numbers at the other branch.  So anyways, it would seem that the employees are excited about the biometric timekeeping thing which is good because it would mean that they are open for changes.  I have a lot of programs for them and I am hoping that the committee will approve the proposed budget for each one.  One of the programs I am proposing is a teambuilding event. It is exciting because one of the venues even have Rifle scopes that one can rent for target shooting. Nice isn't it?! Of course, there is a chance that Rifle scopes might not be part of the itinerary if the budget for a teambuilding is approved.  Since most of the direct employees here are girls, they might opt for a more girly kind of activity.  Though I am sure that Rifle scopes are exciting for guys.

So Wrong

I am at work while my husband is at home. What is wrong in that picture?  Hahaha! He took 2 days off from work. Boooo! I so want to go home. Can I go home now? Meanwhile, I am so busy I barely have time to breathe.  Tomorrow is my daughter's first birthday and I have a very important meeting to attend tomorrow so the sad thing here is I do not know what time I will be able to get home. Sad.  But her celebration is going to be on Saturday.

Tripped

Yesterday, I had a toxic morning. My staff was not around and I had to interview all these employees.  When it was almost lunch, I was running all around because I was handling recruitment and all the other concerns. So while running, I was wearing heels by the way, I almost tripped! The good thing was I was able to catch myself. I was reminded of the book I was reading when the girl fell in front of the building of this super cute guy. So anyways, the guy wanted to make sure that the girl was alright before letting her go. He wanted to make sure that no lawsuit will be filed which brings me to Actos lawsuit. Apparently, you can file one if you or any family member developed a serious medical condition such as bladder cancer, heart attack etal.  bcause of the drug called Actos.

Neck Deep

I am really in a panic. I have like a dozen things to do this week. I have a  mancom presentation on Saturday and I have to do a cost benefit analysis for programs planned for the year.  All this plus the things I regularly do.  I also have to prepare a syllabus, a module, a microcurriculum thing and course outline before this sem ends. When will I have the time to do these I do not know.  All I know is I have to do them by hook or by crook because I do not want to repeat the subject again.

Calling In Sick

I am sick which is the reason why I went home after lunch. The other reason is I want to review my daughter for her exams tomorrow. So she has exams for the following subjects: CAE, Science and Math.  All of them are major subjects. Good luck to us.

So anyways, ever since I started working I have developed this cough which does not seem to want to go away.  Plus it is continuous so I interviewed coughing, underwent through training coughing and others.  It is embarrassing and not to mention painful. Ack!   And so I am home resting hoping that this cough will go away tonight.  Hehe! I might go to the doctor later to get  a prescription for meds.   I am hoping too that the office won't call. I know I left a lot of items that I needed to address today. But what can I do? I am not in my right condition.  Though to be honest, I just sent an email to one of my staff telling her to address one of the immediate concerns and that is personal injury. I do not want to disclose any of the details but it would have been easier if we have an Austin personal injury lawyer by our side.

Silver Lining

Just when I thought the day could not get any worse, it gets better. This is what I tweeted this morning. I was already dreading the day because of the continuous flow of bad news that I received the morning and to top it all off I have a midterm exam tonight that I haven't studied for.  Anyways, this one piece of good news is carrying me now throughout the day. 

Luxury Bedding For Me Please

I am so strung out! I lack sleep. I have assignments to do and reports to accomplish.   If you read my earlier posts, you would know that I have been up since 5 am.  So I want to go to bed already and sleep but I have to study for my mid terms.  I just do not know how I am going to be able to do it.  Hehe!  I have 70 pages to read. I do not know how to go about it yet.  For sure, all the things that I will read tonight or maybe tomorrow morning up until the afternoon will be long forgotten. I have a short term memory loss you see because of the anesthesia so any information that I might get from reading the book that I photocopied is already long forgotten.  How am I going to handle tomorrow knowing that I wont be able to answer even just one item. So anyways, aside from lack of sleep, hubby and I fought so my stress levels are up to the maximum. I know that we will sort things out in the end especially if both parties are willing. But right now, right at this moment, I wish for luxury bedding so I can get a good night's rest.  I guess we are all tired. We are all busy with our own things so it is a given that tempers will flare.  And also hopefully the next time tempers flare up I will just sleep especially if I get the kind of bedding that I want.

Our Doorbell

Yesterday, my sister-in-law got my youngest daughter and her nanny at home. She sent me an SMS to ask if she can bring my daughter to their home. I said yes because I knew I will be arriving late.  She asked me to prepare my daughter's stuff and to wait for her at the gate so she would not have to ring the doorbell.  I told her that is not possible because I am no longer at home but at work.  The thing is our home does not have a doorbell. What we have are bells sort of like a door chime.  It is not a wireless door chime but it has a rope that you can tug when you are outside the gate. When you do that, do not be surprised because it is really loud.  You will get a feeling that you are inside a church. Lol! There was a time when we had a wireless door bell but it always gets grounded when it gets wet so visitors get a mild electric shot every time they touch it.  Hehe! Thus, the only alternative was the bell. SO remember when you pass by our home, do not look for a switch that you can press to tell us that you are there but instead look for a rope that you can pull. Hehe! Though some of our visitors text us to tell us that they are already outside so they do not have to get out of the car which is also another option because there are also times when the one who opens the gate do not hear the chime even if it loud.  He has his earphones on most of the time.  I remember we went home really late and we waited for more than an hour outside the gate. The reason? He did not hear the honk of the car nor the sound of the door bell. I think I got mad at that time. 

One Big Fight

Super bad night. Hubby is mad because my daughter did not want to brush her teeth and then everything blew out of proportion.  He even misinterpreted some of the things I said.  What I said I meant as it was. There wasn't any underlying meaning to it. Oh well, maybe he is tired which makes him extra cranky.  So I guess it is up to me to understand the whole thing. Though I think that my daughter should learn her lesson that sometimes even small things can end into big ones such as tonight.  So if she brushed her teeth like we asked her to, then we (hubby and me ) would not have argued.  But who can tell right? Maybe it was meant to happen. 

The Only Alternative Is Casting Call

Even if I enjoy going to the office and doing all these things that I used to do plus tasks that I haven't done before, I am thinking of leaving the company. Why? Because my daughter's grades are suffering.  Today, I saw her practice exams and she got more than half of the total score. Can you believe that?  ...... HALF??!?!?! In MATH!!?!?!  She used to do so well in school. Now, she tells me that quizzes are being given left and right for subjects that we haven't studied for.  Even if I work near, when I arrive, I am too tired and too drained to review her on lessons learned for that day.  So I am quite disappointed with myself when I saw the grades that she got. Totally my fault.  So yeah, I am thinking of resigning because if I do not my daughter's grades will suffer some more. So unless I device of a way for me to study with with her at night I would have to let the company where I am at go. That is the only option that I have. The tragedy of a working mom. Though right now  we are in the stage where we are both adjusting.  So let's see in a couple of weeks. This stage in our lives will be put to the test next week because she has quarterly exams next week and because of the cancellation of classes the previous weeks due to the typhoon her exams will be on a 3 subjects per day basis instead of 2.  Good luck to us.  I recall what I told her last night. I told her if her grades does not pick up, she would have to leave school and transfer to a different school where the standards are not that high.  When she grows old, the only way by which she can make money is to go on a casting call and try her luck to become a movie star.   I am sure there are many people who dream about this but the truth is being an actress is hard. A person has to go to several auditions and pray that they are the ones who get chosen.  Sure most of them are like  free casting calls but still... you rely on luck and talent to get chosen.  My daughter is super shy. I do not think she will be able to act in front of an audience.  Just yesterday, she had an oral recitation and I do not think she did well because she told me she buckled and wasn't able to deliver her piece. 

Midterms Tomorrow

I am so proud of myself. I was able to process the payroll of our employees. Thank you for the support of the Accounting Supervisor and one of my staff. Hehe! So anyways, I have midterm exams tomorrow that I haven't studied for.  Good luck to me. I haven't even read the book yet. Super extra good luck to me.  

Intercom System In The Office

It's almost 4 am and I can't sleep. I know its not because I do not need more sleep. In fact, I need to sleep some more because I am sick.  I have a whopping cough that does not seem to sleep even when I am asleep.  So here I am awake because of my cough. Hehe!  So anyways, we went home really late today. We arrived past 9 already.  Traffic was so unbelievable!  We spent more than 3 hours on the road going home.  The thing with my work is even I work near MOST of the days, there are days when I need to check up on the people at the other branch.  That's where the problem starts because the other office is so far away.  Though I love the other office because of the  people there.  Just yesterday, during lunch time, my officemates and I discussed about the intercom system of the company. Yes, they have an intercom. Hehe!  They use it to ask us if we will allow visitors to come up and gain access to office premises. It looks like a wireless intercom system that you see at homes.  So cool! I guess this is most convenient for homes who do not have gates but have driveways instead. My aunt's home in the US has a wireless driveway alarm.  It is easier to gain access to the home via the garage than the front door.  I remember there was a time before when she gave me the remote because I went out with a couple of my friends. They were going out that night too. So just in case I come home earlier than expected.  True enough, when I came back they weren't around yet and so I used it to gain access to their home.

Calcium Supplements For Me

I am sick. My eldest daughter is sick too. My husband is also sick. We are all coughing. The only one oblivious to our virus is my youngest. I hope that her antibodies will fight this virus off of her.  I am thinking I should take extra vitamins and supplements such as calcium supplements  and zinc supplements so I can keep myself healthy.  It is a known fact  that taking zinc can make your body heal faster.  That is one of the advantages of taking zinc as per Biotics Research.  That is why most vitamin C supplements already have zinc in them.  Anyways,  working at the office is really stressful and I miss those times that I am not working and I just stay at home with my baby.  I am not saying that the people at home are not stressed out. In fact, there are days when it is more stressful to be at home than at the office. But since I am a mom I really prefer staying at home and taking care of my kids.  Anyways, I think I am just stressed out because of the many responsibilities that I have. Oh well.  I have to cope and manage.  Hopefully I will be able to thrive. Hehe!

I am particularly interested in women vitamins because I feel that it will answer the needs of women health wise.   One of the reviews said that she loves how she can get all the right kinds of nutrients at the right dosages with this one. I am leaning towards this.

Scared So Early In The Morning

I am too early in the office which means that I am alone. Scary! Gulp! Get a grip!  The reason why I am scared is because last week I saw a lady in white facing me. She seems to be looking at me. When I looked directly at her she was gone. I thought she was an employee or something. One of my staff said that she saw that girl too before but at that time it would seem that she was going towards my staff. My other staff said that one time she was early and she heard a little girl crying. Hay! I should stop or else I will scare myself to death.

Needing A Tile Scraper

I told my hubby a couple of weekends ago that maybe it is a good time to have the tiles of our room changed. We already checked a couple of them but hubby says that something has to be done to the flooring of our room before we can change the tiles. I think we will need a tile scraper or something like that. So anyways, since this is out of the question now maybe we should consider concrete polishing tools instead. I don't really like the flooring of our room now. It is hard to get the glossy shiny look. So maybe if we contact innovatech we will be able to achieve the look of the floor that we want. I am mostly interested in I-Shine. I-Shine is the most advanced polishing in the world. I want our floors to be really shiny. I know they are experts when it comes to concrete grinding polishing. I know I am on the right track with this one because you do not know how unshiny our floors are even if we already asked the maid polish it. We need a professional to do it for us and that can only be innovatech. Hehe! The leader when it comes to this kind of service. Why settle for anything less right? I mean if you are going to pay anyways why not get the best.

Home Study Day

My daughter (eldest) does not have classes today. Today is home study day you see. Yes I think they have that once every quarter. So anyways, instead of studying what she did was she played the whole day. I think she played a little too much because when I arrived she already has colds and cough. Bummer!

Pop Corn Will Be In My Sleep Tonight

I am super sleepy. That's what I am now. I want to go to sleep but I do not want this day to end yet. Spent the whole day with my kids.  We went to church, had lunch together, went to a couple of possible places where we can hold my daughter's first birthday, had a massage, went home so my daughter (especially my youngest) can bond with her new yaya.  While they were bonding, I made pancakes and prepared the ingredients for dinner though hubby was the one who cooked it. Tomorrow I have work and so I have to leave my babies behind and I do not want to do that.  If I complained of boredom before I will gladly take it back. Hehe! Now, I do not seem to have the time anymore.  So even if I want to spend this evening eating pop corn and watch a movie with hubby and kids, I can't. I can barely even keep my eyes open.  So after I finish off with this blog post I might go straight to bed even if the smell of popcorn invades my mind. You know the popcorn from the popcorn machines that cinemas have?  That's what I am craving for right now.  The smell of butter and salt and the pop corn.  Hmmm. Yum! Yum!  This got me thinking about the house of the friend of my daughter's. Remember? The one that has a cinema inside the house. Well,  the only thing lacking is a popcorn machine.  If they have, I did not see it the first time I went there.  Who knows? Maybe they have it too. Hehe! So anyways, I can only imagine that popcorn will invade my sleep tonight.  So let me all greet you a good night's sleep as I bid you all adieu.

Planning A Special Birthday For A Special Girl

My daughter's birthday is coming up and we haven't planned anything yet.  I am hoping we will be able to make reservations this weekend. Her birthday is less than 4 weeks away.  I wonder how we will be able to squeeze all the things we need to do since I am working and hubby is working.  Even some of the details such as her birthday outfit is a problem for me. I do not know where I will buy her outfit. I do not even know if she will wear a gown or a simple dress. I would have to see first where we will hold her birthday.  If we have the time AND the money, we will be giving her a grand birthday even if she will not remember it next year or maybe save up for a birthday that she will remember and we will let her choose one of the coveted Dugal Dresses that would look fab on anyone.  Have you seen their online site? I have when I was searching for a prom dress for my hubby's niece. All the gowns and dresses are foine! Every girl from her tween years up until she becomes an adult would want to wear one! That is how nice all of them are.  In fact, you might be confused when it comes to choosing because all of them are really fab. You can wear them at a prom, homecoming, sweet sixteen, debutante ball, wedding, etc.  In the meantime, she (my daughter) would have to wait for that. We on the other hand would have to save for that.  Hehehe!  I can only imagine how beautiful and dainty she would look on that special day.

Budget For Stanley Furniture? Maybe

Hello! I am alive and well. Tee hee! I have been very busy and I believe I will be busier in the coming months. So you will no longer see me online. That is so unlike me. Well, you better believe it. Forgive me if I haven't been replying to your online messages (fb, twitter, ym). Sometimes all I do is check it for a minute and then I am offline again. The only spare time I have left I want to spend it with my kids or if they are busy or sleeping, I relax by reading my ebooks for a few minutes.  That is how busy I am.  I am juggling too many roles now and I hope I will be able to do all of them well. So anyways, you are probably wondering what it is that is keeping me busy. Well, I am still studying though I think I would have to let this one go.  I am still thinking about it. I do not think I have the energy or the inclination to go through with it right now especially if one thinks about the end result which is actually not THAT feasible if compared to other options. I hope you are getting what I am aiming at. Hehehe! I am working again. NOOOOO! Hehehehe!  YES! I am working again and I must say that I am still quite lost as to their processes but I hope that I will get the hang of it someday (soon).  Why am I working again? Well, for the past few months, I have been bored out of my mind. Ask hubby he will tell you how bored I was and this opportunity came along. Actually there were 3 opportunities but I chose this one because it is the nearest (most of the time) of them all.  So I am back in the work force and maybe in a month or two I will be able to buy a few of my wants again. Though I do not think I will because hubby and I want to buy this house. Hehehe! So we will be saving up for that and save more for really nice furniture such as Stanley furniture.

Actually, we haven't decided yet because we do not know what theme we want for that home. So maybe, if ever, we will prefer to have Lexington furniture or Lea furniture we will be able to buy them.  The point is we will have savings for that. Hehehe! Yey!
