Barely There Make-Up

This morning I was able to watch Kris TV. It was my first time to watch the show and I was pleasantly surprised because Lucy Torres, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Lizzy Uy were on. They taught the viewers how to take care of themselves. They focused on mommies who do not have the luxury of time to get dolled up. I took down notes on some of the things that they said especially how to put on very light, barely there make-up. I am hoping I will be able to use this knowledge on myself. Hahahaha! I would love to learn how to improve how I look especially when I am out (even when they are just errands). Hehe!

Truth be known I am one frustrated gal who wants to learn how to apply make-up but can't. It would seem that I do not have any skills in that area. I am hoping I will be able to enroll myself in an Anitoch beauty school but that is just physically impossible now. I have a little girl to take care. Plus I am finishing this course that I enrolled myself in for the 1st sem. Maybe when I am done with that I could probably take a few lessons on cosmetics and others.

Trip to Museum Zurich Is The Most Perfect Prize

I pity my daughter. Do you know that she has quizzes now? Yesterday she had like 5 quizzes. She had quizzes in the following subjects: Math, Science, and I forgot the others. Later today (since it is already 12:01 in the morning), she will have quizzes on Araling Panlipunan and English. That is why I let her play as soon as she finishes studying for her quizzes the following day.   She does not only have to finish studying for the quizzes, she also has assignments to do. I cannot believe it! Even my husband cannot believe the scope that they are given.  For example in Araling Panlipunan, they are already studying geography. That is just her first lesson.   So sometimes she gets in one of her moods and we just do not mind her. Like this afternoon, she went into one of her moods. I told her if she does not want to study, she does not have to study.  She does not like NOT studying because she aims to get high grades this school year. She is competitive that way. She challenges herself. I remember the conversation that we had in the car this afternoon. She asked me if 99% is high. I said yes, it is super high already. She said but 100% is higher than 99% so my goal is to get 100%.  I told her 99% is just fine with me. Hehehe!  The great thing about all of this is she no longer asks for a prize. Maybe she knows that I no longer work that is why she seldom asks me for anything. Hehe!

Truth be known, if I could I would bring her to museum zurich. She would love to see all those Vienna Art and Amsterdam design that are displayed there.  Right now, I prefer to go to places where she can learn and have fun at the same time.  But of course we have to be mindful of our budget because her birthday is coming up next month and the birthday of the baby will follow suit after a month.  So anyways, the invitations for her party will be sent out this week.

Eat! Eat! Eat!

I just got home. All I did today was eat. After church, we had a small gathering because two of the members of our group celebrated their birthday so we had a sumptuous celebration. Thanks G and R for the food. It was truly yummy! Afterwards since my husband volunteered to scout for a  cheap tv rack and promotional products for this upcoming project of our group, we went to the mall. Though he does not really need to go to the mall for t-shirts with logo since I know that www.branders.com is really good at making this promotional item among other things.  Actually, we were planning on having customized t-shirts made for the Family Day aka Sports Fest that happened last weekend but there wasn't any time to order it, etc. At that time I did not know about www.branders.com  which I really regret since they make great t-shirts with customized design.  The cost is affordable and they work really fast!  So anyways since the color that we chose to represent us was yellow, I just used my old yellow shirt and paired it with my black leggings. Hehe!

So anyways bygones, I should always look forward to the future and right now the future (very near future) is the birthday of my 2 daughters. So www.branders.com will be super useful to me because of their customized products. I am already checking it out to see what I could order as souvenirs for my 2 kids.

After scouting for tv racks and whathaveyous, we took a break at figaro and ate a huge chocolate chip cookie, a muffin and an eclair.  Yum! Yum! Afterwards we had dinner at Hai Chinese Restaurant to celebrate my brother-in-law's parent's wedding anniversary. So I now have a stomachache from all that eating.

9. Is there something you'd like to change about how you spend your time? If so, what is it? If not, why not? I guess I would like more time for myself so I can take better care of myself but sometimes I feel guilty not being with my 2 kids especially if they are at home.

Offline and Online

I am checking out my phone cam images and it made me realize that I haven't blogged that much.  Maybe because I was too busy with school and family or maybe because I twit more frequently now. I know that twitting (which is also a form of micro blogging) can kill blogging. It's true! It is slowly killing my blogs. LOL! So anyways, right now, I feel that I am enjoying my offline life more. In a way, after several years of working online and doing most of my socialization via the web with my fellow stay-at-home moms, I feel like I have missed my offline life. Thus, I am more busy offline now than online. I feel like an ATM machine with all the offline and online talk. LOL! So anyways, I am not completely  non-existent online because you can catch me at fb or twitter. I am totally addicted at twitter. That is the place where I usually rant, rave and talk about stuff including places where to buy gold bullion. I love twitter!

So anyways to make up for not blogging, here is one of the pics of my daughter who is trying to see what is going on outside her crib. This picture was taken last month.

Camera Feature Of The Tab

I tried using the tab's camera feature yesterday while we were at the mall.  I think it turned out fine. Just check out the picture of my daughter at Toys R Us yesterday.  It's clear right?  Hehe!
C @ the mall

Anyways, it was a good day yesterday because our youngest did not have fever. Little did we know that the rashes would start coming out last night.

Planning C's 7th Birthday And Checking Out Art In Amsterdam

Ok so we have started planning for my daughter's 7th birthday.  We barely have a month!  Actually, when we asked her this morning if she wanted to have a party she said no. So we just pencil booked a couple of suppliers just in case she changes her mind. She has like a week to do that if she does not change her mind we can just celebrate with family and use the money allotted for her party for a really nice gift, a gift that she wants to have. Heck, she can even choose 7 gifts if she wants to.  Actually, if it was up to me too, I would rather go to Amsterdam, eat at amsterdam restaurants and see art in Amsterdam.  A couple of months back, I was thinking of merging the birthday of my two daughters since their birthdays are only a month apart.  I was thinking of just going somewhere (a place where they really like) and just do the things that they want (like check out art Amsterdam if  we choose to go to Amsterdam) to do.  But the pedia advised us not to especially since the baby is barely even a year old. She said that we should wait until she is 2 years old. So here I am planning again. Hehe! I have to make all these lists, ask my daughter again where she wants to celebrate her birthday and pay the reservation fee so I can start sending out the invitations (as soon as they are done).

Father's Day And Cigar Humidor

Okay so today is father's day. Happy Father's day to my dad who has been there for me all throughout.  I love you so much papa even if I do not always show it. You see we are not really like that. We act all nonchalant towards each other but deep inside we have all these overflowing amount of love for each other that there would always be family meetings whenever there is a need to. You do not have to announce it.  The meetings are always impromptu.  Hehe! My dad has always been our rock. You feel safe whenever he is there.  You can always ask for sound advice whether it is for business for personal life and even spiritual life. He is also a kidder and a joker. He loves to tell these gross jokes that would always make us cringe but would laugh anyways.  Love you lots pa. Do you want cigar humidor for father's day ? Just tell me.

I would also like to greet my hubby a Happy Father's Day.  Just like my dad, he has always been there for the kids. I know he is trying his best to provide for us.  Our eldest favors him now (I know) because he is such a cool dad. He always knows how to have fun when he is in the mood. Actually, my daughter and I looked for a gift for him. We scoured the mall for that perfect gift but were unable to find the one that my daughter thinks we should give him.  Since we were pressed for time as I left the baby at home with the nanny,  I opted to just give him one of the cheap cigars but my daughter did not want to. I was almost at the counter with Acid cigars but my daughter stopped me she said that she knows what hubby wants.  Finally, we settled for a... SECRET. I would like to tell you but he might read this and so it will ruin the surprise. Hehe!

Do I Need A Floor Grinder?

I brought my sister-in-law M and her daughter M with me and my daughter at my daughter's school because they said they wanted to watch my daughter do her taekwando moves. This was one of the sessions before the summer class for Taekwando ended. Afterwards, we went to the mall for lunch. After lunch, we went to this home store where you can buy all these for the home.  She wanted to look for tile removal and new tiles for her mom (my mother-in-law). There were lots of designs. They were nice.  Actually, they were so nice that I wanted to change the tiles in our room too.  I just do not know how to go about it. Should I also have to buy concrete polishing and floor grinder too?   That's the problem.  So you see even if I wanted to do something that would improve our home I am unable to because I do not have any idea what to do and how to go about it.  The designs of the floor tiles were really so nice pa naman. Anyways, my SIL checked out all the tile designs and she chose a design but she would have to consult her mom if she wanted to change the design of her flooring at their home.

Friday Fill-Ins

Not Worrying About TV Parts Right Now

I have a new toy. My hubby gave me a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Maybe he is making up for what has happened in the past.  We recently fought over something major and that is all I am going to say about that.  So anyways, I have a new toy but I haven't had the chance to really explore its features because apparently my eldest daughter is more excited about it than I am. She even taught me the mechanics of Angry Bird Rio.  In fact she hasn't touched the remote controls ever since the tab was given to me.  So with it I am assuming that the tv will be used less often so I do not have to worry about TV Parts or anything like that for awhile (I hope!).  Heheh!  Thus today after my daughter's cheering practice we went to the mall to look for a screen protector and a leather casing for it plus I needed to inquire about Laptop batteries. Since I use my laptop everyday, all the batteries are pretty worn out. Hehe! So I need to replace my laptop and cellphone batteries. Too bad the stores that I was able to ask do not carry the cell type and make of the batteries of the cellphone that I am using now.

Discussed Home Lighting Fixtures Using Skype

It's June 12 today. Happy Independence Day Everyone. Happy Independence day to me. :P  This is how I should take my newest challenge in my life. How to be independent and positive at the same time.

Well, I thought this day is going to be the worst day of  my life. Turns out it's not. I was able to deal with my problem by just taking it one minute at a time, one hour at a time. It really helps that I have a lot of things to organize. I have a lot of things to do that helped me take my mind off of me and my problems. So I woke up really early (though I do not think I was able to sleep at all last night). I was able to chat with my aunt and uncle who are in the USA. They were in the hospital visiting their daughter who just gave birth to a very beautiful baby girl. We were able to talk about how cute and adorable the baby is, how they are, what happened during labor and all that. We chatted for a long time. We even talked about the weather there and the weather here. The chat extended to discount lighting fixtures because apparently they plan to change some of their home lighting fixtures for the baby's convenience at their home.  My aunt even asked me to look for ceiling fan lights since they are going to be busy the next few weeks with the baby at home and all. The baby is really lucky because her grandparents are spoilers. They love to spoil the children around them.  At least now they get to spoil their own grandchild and what a cute grandbaby she is. So technically the baby started my day right which helped me get through the day with the proper mindset and all.

Custom Printing Services For My Daughter's Birthdays

Since the birthdays of my 2 daughters are coming up I should start planning already.  I know I am already late in planning. Haha! There have been just too many things to do. It seems that events keep on piling on top of each other. So anyways,  I should start to think about Custom Printing especially for the souvenirs though I haven't really decided what they are going to be just yet.  Though I am not really worried since I know where to go for printing services. I have a friend who was able to hire my1stop.com for Custom Labels and for Flyer Printing. They did very well. In fact, when I saw the finished products I was really amazed because I knew the time constraint of my friend at that time. I even thought the time allotted to the supplier was just too little. Well, I was proven wrong twice. They were able to deliver on time and the finished products were simply incredible!   So the next time you need some printing done, do check them out. They are worth it.

In fact, I should have recommended them to my SIL who needs to have some customized printing done for her project.  Oh well, next time.

Fail!

Ok so I have been trying to upload competition 1 of my daughter over at her FB account.   What can I say but... FAIL! At the middle of it all, it will just stop uploading.  Now I am using the plug-it modem just to see whether I will succeed.  However, looking at it now.  It says that it will take me more than 3 days (and counting) to upload one video. WTH?! With the wi-fi it will only take me 12 hours. So here I am complaining about the wifi thingy but apparently it will take 400% longer to upload just one video using plug-it.  Oh my. So you can say that I am literally pissed.  I think there is a conspiracy between the internet providers and the electricity provider. The slower it is the more we will consume electricity. Am I right or am I right?! Grrrr!

Isabella Is 7

Last Sunday, my daughter attended her friend's 7th birthday party.  She really enjoyed it since it was a swimming party. If only, my daughter's birthday did not fall on July, I will opt to have a swimming party for her too. She just loves the water you see.  But since she it does fall on July, it would be better if she has an indoor party instead. The party of her friend "I" did not have any games at all. It was swimming from the start up until the very end. Food you can get if you want and you can come back for more as it was overflowing. Even the candies were overflowing. I even took home some. Lol!

It was a great party.  My daughter did not even want to go home.  However, during the party, especially at the start, some of the moms left their kids there without any nanny or guardian with them. So the mom of my daughter's friend were alert the whole time. You can see and hear her reminding the boys not to play any rough games. She did not want anything untoward to happen to any of her daughter's guests. Of course, she did not want an Austin Personal Injury Lawyer especially O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949 to call her a week after the party, telling her that this kid sustained injuries from the swimming party. The horror! I was alert the whole time too because the pool was kind of deep and she did not want to wear her floaters.

Here are the pics:

Bagged The Gold

We had a very busy weekend. First off, my eldest had a promotion test and a taekwando competition last Saturday. It was a whole day event.   I did not know that it will take that long.  I can now foresee my life as a Taekwando mom. Haha!   Anyways, to make the long story short, she is now a yellow belter and she bagged the gold. Yeah she went for the gold and she got it. She was able to beat the other girls in her division during the taekwando competition.  We are so proud of her.  She was so nervous before the promotion test. She was worried she will not be able to move on to the next level and look where she is now.  All her hard work paid off.

So anyways, while we waited for her turn, I listened to the other parents who were chatting and waiting for their kid's turn too. I was particularly moved by one who was telling the others about the Topamax lawsuit that they filed. Apparently,  one of their kids has a cleft lip and he said that it was allegedly caused by Topamax. He even told us that the best people to talk to when it comes to these kinds of cases are O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath – Personal Injury Lawyers – 808 West Avenue, Austin, TX. 78701 – 512-494-9949.  Apparently, his wife took the drug when she was pregnant with the kid. So anyways, the story was moving and kept me riveted the whole time he was telling the story that it took my mind off  Taekwando for a time.  It was a good thing that my sister was there because she told me that my daughter's name was called already. Haha!

Here are some of the pics that were taken that day: (You can check out the other pics over at my daughter's fb account)

Before the fight.. she looked so focused.. Hehe!

The Day We Left Quezon Province

This is a cropped version of the picture the day we left Quezon Province 2 months ago. I was supposed to include only the 4 of us but Micki is in the middle so I had to include her in. haha! So this is me, baby Ramiel, hubby, Cheska and hubby's niece Micki.  So this is our family picture plus Micki. LOL! I am hoping we can come back to Quezon next year since my eldest, Cheska, enjoyed it so much there.  Just look at her color in the picture. It is obvious how much fun she had at the beach for the 3 days we were there.  The fun she had was definitely worth the long drive.

Just Like Therapeutic Boarding Schools

So school is about to start for some specifically for me and my daughter. While for some, it has already started. So I bet next week, traffic is going to be really bad bordering on horrendous.  That is why some parents opt for their kids to enroll in a school near their homes while some put their kids in a boarding school. I remember back when I was in college, since the college where I enrolled at was far from our home, my parents decided to put me in a dormitory run by nuns very near our school.  It was a good thing that they did because it taught me to be independent. I learned how to take care of myself and be responsible for myself.  I even learned how to use the public transport because I wanted to come home every now and then during the weekdays. Hehe! Even if the dormitory where I stayed at where run by nuns, I had so much fun there.  My room was the noisiest room I guess because most of my friends will go to my room and chat (or whathaveyous). Hehe! I remember one of the nuns would always shush us up. Hehe! Even if it was a dormitory, at that time, it also felt like I was in one of those therapeutic boarding schools. The nuns had programs for us girls that we had to comply with. I guess this is the reason why my mom chose that dormitory.   I guess if there is a need for me to do the choosing of the perfect dorm for my daughters, I will choose the same one. Hahaahha!

Parents do that. They always choose the best for their kids even if the kids do not think so.  I know of some parents who place their kids on schools for troubled teens such as the one in shelterwood.org even if their kids did not want to be in it. But at the end of it all, the kids turn out fine.  The battle that the parents and the kids had to go through before the kids are placed in the school is worth it if the kids turn out alright in the end.  Now, I can understand the meaning behind tough love. Sometimes you have to give tough love to your kid to make him or her a better person and to reform his or her way,. If my turn as a parent comes and I feel that there is a need for my daughter to go to one of the schools for troubled teens, I would do so. I would not even hesitate because I know in the end that whatever happens, I did the right thing for her.  This reminds me of my classmate during my summer class. He said that his parents placed him in the seminary because he was an unruly kid. He actually used the term "bad influence." He is actually grateful that his parents did that for him. I will probably do the same.

Busy With Conference Calls

I have one week left to rest before school starts for both my daughter and myself. So I am really not in the mood and I do not have any urges to go out of the house even if the mall is the destination. This is really unlikely for me. Hehe! Even if I dread going to school again and dealing with my daughter's school load to, I am actually also looking forward to it especially if I have the same set of classmates. They are really cool and down-to-earth. Everybody wanted everyone to do well. You can actually feel the support towards each other especially during recitations and presentations.  However, what goes on in the classroom is one thing, what goes on outside the class is another thing. Hehe! You will see us chatting with each other. Sometimes we even do Web conferencing. You got that right. Since we are many we opt to do Conference calls instead of the usual chat features present in social networks. We talk about anything and everything under the sun.  I wonder when is the next Audio conferencing going to be. Haha! You can say that I am always looking forward to it.
