Interested In Designer Checks

Ok so I am hoping it would not rain tomorrow. I have to go to the bank and arrange a couple of things including but not limited to ordering discount checks. I hope it would not take too long because I am hoping I will be able to join a couple of my classmates watch a movie after they get their lesson plan.  Hehehe! I am actually dreading to get mine because I do not want to read any negative comments on it. Hehe! So anyways, I am hoping I will not forget to inquire about designer checks that the bank seems to be promoting this season. I just saw it and I am quite interested in it.   So I am really hoping that the weather will cooperate tomorrow and not rain too hard. It is hard to move around when it's raining. It is extra hard to wake up in the morning. It is extra, extra hard to drive and it is nearly next to impossible to keep the feet dry when it's raining. I hate getting my feet wet you know. Hay. However, not to worry though because if ever it rains really hard tomorrow, I can always do my banking online. I just hope that I can order checks online. My dad usually goes to the bank for this. He is old school I tell you. As for me, I am quite content and not really bothered by ordering stuff and paying for stuff online.  I even pay my bills online and I order food online. I just love doing stuff online.  That is why I am never bored when I am at home because I have a lot of things to do and to check via the world wide web.

Though truth be known,  I love going to the bank too even if the wait is long because there are times when I love to do things by myself. This is the reason why I am always at the bank  even if I can do my bank transactions online.Hehehe!

R Is 9 Months!

It's a good thing I can always refer to babycenter.com for updates regarding my baby. I now totally understand what she is going through. So this is the reason why she is extra clingy these days.

Read on from babycenter.com, my baby  at 9 months

Coping with separation

Now, and for the next few months, separation anxiety is at its peak. Although it's normal now for a baby to show an extreme attachment to you and fear of everyone else, it can be difficult for doting grandparents and caregivers. You can help ease transitions for your baby by warning people to approach slowly and let your baby make the first move.

If your baby uses a thumb or pacifier to soothe himself as he tries to cope with his anxiety, that's okay. Sucking is one of your baby's only methods of calming himself.
Travel tips

Because of separation anxiety, this can be a tough time to be away from your baby for any length of time. But it may also be hard to travel with your baby right now. He's become used to his surroundings and familiar faces, and he likes predictability. So being on the road can disrupt his sense of security and routine, especially when visiting an unfamiliar place or meeting lots of strangers.

At this age, he doesn't grasp the concept of travel but he'll realize he's in a new, strange place. Be ready for some cranky, clingy behavior and prepare plenty of distractions — picture books, noise-making toys, nesting blocks, hand puppets, and definitely his security object, if he has one. Schedule plenty of downtime away from all the strangers to let him decompress.

If he still uses a pacifier, it's wise to bring along a handful. They seem to vanish just when you need them most.

Wanting To Go On Australia Tours

Since I am done with my summer classes and my daughter's classes will not start until June, I am wondering whether we should continue with this "before school starts" outing.  It is going to be near, as in one of the nearest local provinces here. I am just hesitant since it is already raining. Right now, there is a super typhoon hovering over Metro Manila. It is really scary especially since we all haven't recovered from the trauma typhoon Ondoy left us with. It has been two years but it would seem that it only happened yesterday that was how traumatic it was. SO anyways,  I am hoping to get another vacation before school starts (mine and my daughter's) but I guess it all depends on our financier. LOL!  If he would ask me though, I would prefer to go on one of those australia tours or ireland tours. I haven't been to any of those places so it would be exciting for me. But of course, we would have to consider our baby who is less than a year old, even a travel machu picchu is not feasible at this time.  I am hoping by the time she is 2 years old, we can get to travel outside the country again. Yeah! I am definitely looking forward to that.  So anyways, for now, I guess I would have to content myself with a local travel. Ha ha! Actually, I am quite happy that we can go anywhere. But to tell you honestly, since my husband's niece showed me where we will go I began to have doubts again.. since they had ghost sightings the last time they were there. No way am I going to a place where there are ghosts.

Anyways, this brings me back to Quezon province. Here are some of the pics of day 2 where they spent the whole morning swimming. I didn't swim. I just enjoyed looking at them swimming while inhaling fresh sea air and basking under the rays of the sun.

Missing My Classes and My Classmates

Now that classes for the summer are over I wonder what I should do the rest of the summer. I know I have been griping and complaining about how busy I was and how I did not seem to have time anymore. But you know what? I was relieved to be doing something else.  My sister-in-law is planning for a small getaway thing before school starts, I do not know if it will push through though. So I guess I should be looking forward to that. I should also be looking forward for the 1st sem. Hehe! So before classes start I should do the things that I want to do such as bond with my kids,  go to the mall ( i miss malling), read my books, look up on a couple of things on the internet that I am interested in such as cases of Topamax lawsuit, drive my daughter to and fro her taekwando lessons without any pressure of going back home ASAP because I have an assignment or test that afternoon. Hehe!  Speaking of which, my daughter has Taekwando lessons today so at least I still have a few things that I am used to do for the summer. Hehe!

Cover To Cover

I do not think I will be able to sleep tonight. The coverage of our exams tomorrow will be from cover to cover. The topics are so vast that I do not think I will be able to read it all. I just hope that the things that I will be able to read (and hopefully retain in my memory) will be asked.   I can't believe I am saying this but I will surely miss this class.  The teacher is so cool that you can ask him anything that you want and he will answer (even if it is not related to the topic for the day).  He can also talk about anything and he can talk for hours and hours.  Maybe it is because we are all professionals which is the reason why he does not treat us as students anymore. I remember the time when he talked about Topamax lawsuit. I was surprised, as in literally surprised. I could not believe that he knows about the drug that can cause birth defects in children. But apparently he does. So we had a lively discussion about that because I know a couple of things about it and he knows a lot about it. So the class were all informed (including me) thanks to him.

Party! Party!

Party! Party! My daughter has two parties to attend  before the school starts.  This reminds me I have to check with my daughter's school what date school starts. Last I heard it was June 13 but since government declared that day as a non-working holiday, I do not know what day school will start now. No worries! I can ask on Monday.  Back to partying, my daughter is such a social butterfly that she is actually looking forward to attending both. The first one is going to be a costume / swimming party.  The other one is a swimming party. Both of the celebrants will be turning 7 so I have to buy gifts for girls who will be turning 7.  Hmmm.... what do girls their age want?  Are barbie dolls still applicable to them?

Pressed For Time

I am pressed for time. Really.  I have lots of things to start on and finish and I do not really know where to start.  For those of who do not know, I am taking up an additional course this summer.  For what? I do not really know yet. I just want to enhance what I have learned before and learn new things.  But you know what?  Even if I complain about it all the time, I still like it.  So this course will not end here. In fact, it is only just the beginning.  I am thinking of enrolling myself in a dressmaking school after, a culinary school and a beauty school such as the Crystal Lake beauty school. You can say that I am eager to learn new things and I love that I get to meet new people.  People who are so different from me and my background. At the end of it all, I can say that I am a person who was able to improve herself out of her own volition.

What Topic To Choose

I am supposed to find a topic to report on for 15 minutes non-stop and incorporate all these strategies and methods that I learned in class for that particular topic that I would choose. I am thinking on whether I should choose different kinds of birth defects. Am I that knowledgeable on that area?  Will I be able to discuss in detail what brings about birth defects including Topamax birth defect. We all know that some birth defects are not caused by genes.  Some are caused by medicines that some women take when they were pregnant.  I think this is an important topic that most women (and men) should learn about so they will be able to avoid any birth defect to the baby.  I can use different kinds of pictures of kids with cleft lip as my visual aid. So should I choose this topic? I only have less than a week to prepare. Good luck to me!

Bebeng Spotted

I just found out that there is a tropical depression over at Samar. This is surprising since it is extra super hot today. I am just glad that the room where were in for more than 6 hours is airconditioned.  I can just imagine how unbearable it would be if it was not. So anyways, tomorrow my daughter will be having her first taekwando exposure training over at quezon city. We will still look for the place. I hope we will be able to find it just in time for the training.  I also hope I will be able to check out this Change management software that I am currently interested in for a project.  Having it will make my life easier.  I hope that I will be able to check it out before we leave because my class will proceed immediately after her class. I might even be a little late for mine (if I will be able to go that is).  I plan to absent myself tomorrow. Hehe!
