Exciting Times

First of all, I want to greet my nephew a very happy birthday... Happy Birthday Eon! We love you and we miss you so much.  The last time we were able to spend time with him was 2 years ago and it was only for a day or two.  Those were the days. My nephew Eon is a nurturer and I remember he really likes to take care of my daughter. Aside from my nephew Eon, I would also like to wish my friend all the luck in the world. You see my friend will give birth tomorrow. This is certainly exciting because she lost a baby a year ago.   So we are all excited for her.  I will be praying for your safe delivery Dr. Rhee. I will try to drop by either tomorrow or on Saturday.

I still have so many things to do but I am so very sleepy because my baby kept me up all night last night. She has colds you see and it was hard for her to breathe.  So I bid you all good night and adieu!

Thick Or Thin

Check out my youngest wearing one of the tops that her grandma gave her.

She and my eldest are the only ones who I will give my life to.  I cannot bear the thought of anything bad happening to them.  That is why as early as now I am already teaching my eldest how to take care of yourself especially when I am not around. I am teaching her how to cross the street, how not to talk to strangers even if they tell her that they know me, what to do in case an emergency happens such as an earthquake or fire, and where to go when she gets lost.   These are the things that parents do not want to think about but every parent needs to tell their child.   I want to tell her all the things that she needs to know to survive and to thrive. I want her to know everything that I know including persons whom she could run to especially when she needs help such as an Austin personal injury lawyer. She needs to know all these because she is the one who will foresee her younger sister.  They need to know how they will take care of each other because in the end, when both me and their dad are gone, all they have are each other so they better be there for each other. So as early as now, I am already telling her what she needs to know.  My youngest will be hearing the same thing from me when she is a bit older because for me it does not matter who is the eldest or the youngest, they better be there for each other through thick or thin.

As a side note, if you need to contact the best personal injury lawyers, just refer to this...

Invitation

I had 2 invitations made for my daughter's dedication rites. The first one I made and I sent it out online. The second one I had made for those whom we will be able to see and give it out to.  This is the online invitation I sent out...

I will show you the second one as soon as I have it scanned. All I have are left out hard copies of it. Hehe! I wasn't able to use some of them because I was not able to send them out as I was supposed to because of lack of time. That is why most of my friends were not there.

Anyways, I went through several pictures before I finally chose the right picture to include in the invitation. Just check out how many pictures I took. Hehe!

I will upload the pics tomorrow because it's taking so long.

Another Concert

If you have the time on March 27, please do come and watch Musikero.com Christian on Mission Concert at Teatro Marikina from 6 pm onwards. This is the second Talentadong Kristiyanong Misyonero concert.  The last one was year December 2009. I remember I was pregnant at that time. Hehe!  It is a free concert by the way so  I urge you to go. Usually songs from hillsongs will be sung though I am not really sure ha. I am not privy to the selection of songs. LOL! I will ask hubby to check the church bulletins regarding more information on this upcoming concert so I can tell you all about it. I am also not sure if I will be able to watch it because I have a baby girl who is harder to take care of now that she is 6 months. Just today, I brought her to my sister-in-law's house because I want to her to have an infant massage. She developed a fever last night and she had it all throughout the evening. Hubby and I did not sleep as we took turns carrying her and rocking her to sleep though she barely slept at all. Anyways, the one who does the massage was brought to the house of my in-laws this morning to administer it to my baby girl.  After the massage, the fever was gone. Just like that. I know not a lot of people believe in this but I do as I have witnessed the healing benefits of this kind of massage to my eldest, my youngest, myself and my hubby.   If ever the fever does not go away, tomorrow I will bring my youngest to the doctor for check-up. So anyways, the reason why it is harder to take care of a baby who is already 6 months is because her immunity is lower now than the previous months. Her doctor said that there is a dip which makes her more prone to infections so I am trying to keep her away from people as much as possible.

Skin Doctor ASAP

Hubby just told me that the doctor is referring him to a dermatologist. He went to the doctor because he is unable to talk.  He has laryngitis I think. I can barely hear him. I had to decipher what he is saying most of the time.  It was a good thing that the doctor noticed his skin condition too. You see during worse days, you would see red patches all over his face.  Hubby would complain because it would get itchy.  Food, specifically seafood, usually triggers this condition.  I just do not know why skin is not included in the executive check-up. He just had it a couple of weeks ago.  I just do not know if it also includes drug test. I think it should. Not that I think hubby is taking any prohibitive drugs.I am sure he will pass that test with flying colors.  However,  I just think that all employees should be able to Pass a Drug Test just to clear the air of any drug-related issues or whatever. I remember there was a time when I heard this rumor... a drug test was administered to all high school students of this very exclusive school.  The result was shocking. Majority of the students were positive for drugs! Again, like I said, I was not able to confirm this.  But when I heard it I was shocked but not as surprised as I should be because they all come from well-to-do families.

Baby V's Baptism

Before my daughter's dedication, my nephew was baptized. He was baptized last month. hehe!  I was one of the godparents. During the ceremonies, he was such a good boy because he did not even cry.  Usually babies cry when water is poured down on their heads but not this baby.. he was calm and collected all throughout.  I was so proud of him.  Here are some of the pics taken that blessed day.

He is one of the happiest babies I know.

Our Gift From Heaven

Before anything else, I want to thank everyone who went out of their way to celebrate Ramiel's Christian dedication ceremonies with us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Pics and story about the dedication to follow. I just want to reminisce the time when I wanted to have a child but was unable to do so. After my eldest, I had 2 miscarriages. The first one was very traumatic for me and hubby. We haven't recovered from the trauma yet. The 2nd miscarriage was easier on me. I was already losing hope on having having another child though there was a time when I was on medication to cure me of my PCOS (polycystic ovaries). I had several medical conditions that would make it harder for me to conceive if compared to other women who had normal ovaries and normal uteruses. I was put on several medications and there was even a time when hubby and I considered IVF treatment. What stopped us was the expense. For me, if I was to have that, then we should go to the best. If we were going to spend for it, the fertility treatment specifically IVF should only come from the best right? If I could, I would go to Santa Monica Fertility so the money will not go to waste.  After all, they are the premier specialists when it comes to fertility and pregnancy.  Anyways, months turned to years.....

When Ramiel came, I already accepted the fact that I will only have one child.  So Ramiel came as a surprise. She is such a wonderful surprise that I almost lost.... through prayers from me, hubby, family and friends my baby survived.    I will always be grateful for that.  Now, I do not think I would want to have another one. I want to give them the best and we can only do that if we limit our kids to 2. Haha! DO you know there was a time when I wanted to have 8 kids just like my parents did? LOL! I did not know back then that it was so hard in terms of disciplining, parenting and financing! So if you are also trying and having  a hard time conceiving, do not lose hope. My friend is also trying now and her doctor also suggested IVF for her. She is thinking about it and budgeting for it already.  She is one of those who prayed for me.. and so I am also wishing and praying for the same thing for her.  I hope that by this time next year, I will be attending dedication ceremonies for her child.

So this was Ramiel when I gave birth to her...

and this is Ramiel now. Hehe!

..truly, our gift from heaven.

Only 3 Times

In my life, I have been in love 3 times.

Let me show you  a picture of the 3 persons whom I fell in love with...

Picture taken during our family balentyms date. Hehe!

I do not know if I have already blogged about my valentine's date for this year. Ever since we had babies, we never went out on a date just the two of us which is okay because we are more at ease if they are with us. Besides valentines is no longer limited to the 2 of us, our love has extended to our 2 kids so it is only right that they should be with us. Maybe when they are a little older we can finally leave them at home. So anyways, my valentines experience this year is not any different from the last or the year before that. Hehe! We went out during the weekend because hubby has work on that day, hubby bought me chocolates, etc.. Nothing big or fancy which is what I prefer. Yeah, call me the humbug of valentines day. LOL!

So anyways on the day itself, we just stayed at home because Cheska did not have classes (teacher's day) and I did not want to brave the traffic.  When hubby arrived from work, we were surprised because he came home with 3 red roses.  One for each of us I think.  Sweet noh? Even if we do not really celebrate Balentyms, it is really nice to feel loved especially on the day of hearts. Sweet gestures like this always make my heart melt.

So kala nyo ha kayo lang kasi meron din ako. Lol!

First Experience Of Solid Food

A few days before my daughter turned 6 months (on Feb 9), I fed her with cerelac. I knew I was supposed to wait until she is 6 months but I could not wait. Yes, I know I have low EQ.  In my defense, she can already sit up with an aid of course and her neck muscles are really strong.

Check out the pics.

Since we do not have any feeding paraphernalia yet at that time, my eldest daughter and I went to the mall to buy the baby her spoon and her dish.  We were actually excited to go home to feed her so we did not stay long at the mall. We were not disappointed. Haha! AS you can see from the pics.  She looked so funny after tasting solid food for the first time.

Summer Is About To Start

Summer is just around the corner and because of that we should consider getting a Ceiling Fan in the room if you haven't already gotten one yet because the truth is the air that comes out of the Ceiling Fans do not overwhelm you unlike stand fans, et al. Since our economy is very shaky as of this moment, what with all the pirce increase in oil, etc. it is better to be pratical and get it from Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans.  Have you checked it out yet? I have and they have a whole range of fans right there. It is like a one-stop shop for fans. Do check it out if you are on the look-out for them?

If you are on the look-out but are not yet decided what kind to get just  Find out who makes the Best Ceiling Fans here!
