Low Grade Fever
I am so sad. My eldest has a slight fever. I am hoping that it will not develop into a high grade one. Huhuhuhu! We have so many things to do this week and we will not be able to do them if she has a fever. Of all the weeks to get sick! Hay! It is a good thing that I was able to scrap renewing my driver's license off of my list for this coming week because I was able to do that last week. It was my first time and all and I did the whole nine yards including taking a drug test. It was so easy and fast too. It was really convenient since there are already LTO outlets in the mall so all you have to do is choose one which is the most convenient for you. In my case, I went to Robinson's Galleria. So anyways, I got my new driver's license and I do not have to worry about renewing it again for the next couple of years. I think the expiration year is on 2013. I am also happy with the picture because I was able to smile. Hehe!
So anyways, I guess tonight is going to be another sleepless night for me because I have to monitor her fever. Please Lord heal her because she does not want to miss out on watching the ballet thingy show that they are scheduled to watch on Monday. She has been looking forward to it for weeks now plus this coming week is also her exam week so huhuhuhuhuhuhuhu!

Mommies Deserve A Carribean All Inclusive Tour
My daughter and I have just finished reviewing her vocabulary words. Can you believe it? I can hardly believe it myself. You should check out the list of these words that they were given out (can I also just say that the list is composed of several pages!!) Ever since the start of the school year I have been amazed (and sometimes appalled) with my daughter's school load. I thought that the last quarter of the year will be the most easy. I was wrong. In fact, I think this quarter is the most challenging one. So good luck to the both of us. She also has this poem that she has to memorize. She has memorized half of it already which is composed of (6 stanzas already). Only six more to go. Go go go! If we pass this quarter with flying colors, I will surely reward her. In fact, even if she did not pass, I will still reward her because I know how hard she has been working for this school year. I am so glad that school is almost over. I am already looking forward to my daughter's summer vacation, even if it means no small breaks for me for 2 months. If only I can request for an all-inclusive Jamaican tour from hubby.
I mean who would not want to spend at least a weekend at one of those Caribbean hotels? I would surely love to especially if it is going to be an all expense paid trip caribbean all inclusive tour. Maybe I should try to join the "price is right". They might give this as one of their prizes. Who knows? I am willing to get this dream vacation whatever which way possible. I deserve it!

Buma, Active Fun And Mara Clara
Let me continue with my nephew's birthday celebration because he had another one which happened the next day. But this time only with family. We ate at Buma Restaurant at Tiendesitas. We were a little late because we checked out this pictorial for Jollibee that my daughter was spotted for. Actually, we did not have any plans on going but the talent scout was really kulit the day before and the morning after so we checked it out just to see what usually happens during auditions/pictorial. So anyways, the food was really good but I failed to take pictures because I was really hungry at that time. After lunch, we went straight to Active Fun so the kids could have fun. We waited for them for 3 hours! There was a time when we went out of the place so we could stretch our legs. We ate 3 gigantic buckets of fries!! We had nothing to do so we munched on fries and talked about stuff with my niece. My husband saw one of the stars at Mara Clara. My husband knows that I do not miss an episode. Yes, as jologs as this might sound, I am a fan. Hehe! I checked it out the first day and I was hooked! I am not really a fan of teleseryes but there was something about the storyline that makes one hooked. That is the only thing that I watch and I usually turn over the remote after the show. I am digressing. hehehehe! You see.... I am not a fan of hers but I am a fan of the show so how I could not resist having my picture taken with her?! Hahahaha! Actually, I was able to resist but my niece really, really, REALLY wanted to have a picture taken with her and she wanted me to be in it too.So anyways, the mom of Christian (in the teleserye Mara Clara) is really pretty in person and so down-to-earth too. Hehe!

Good Dreams
I have been having good dreams for the past days. Let me correct that, the interpretation of the dream rather. I do not want to jinx it so I am not going to tell you about it. Let me keep it to myself and I will tell you about it if it comes true. Hehe! So last night I had a good dream again and I woke up happy. I usually wake up stressed because I think about all the things that I have to do that day. This morning it was kind of different because I was happy. Maybe these happy dreams were caused by the news about gold that I was reading about last night. No kidding! I would Buy Gold Krugerrands if I could right now. However, I would have to wait until our finances stabilize.

My Nephew's 7th Birthday At Shakey's
Okay so my sister, at the very last minute celebrated her birthday with us, since she had a little time off from work. She brought food at home and we pigged out. I, however, forgot to take pics. Hehe! Anyways, that week, her son also celebrated his birthday. It was his 7th birthday. So he celebrated it at Shakey's Restaurant Katipunan which is the perfect place to celebrate it especially since his school is right across the place. It was a good thing too that my daughter's classes were shortened that day so we were able to come too. Hehe! You see the family celebration was scheduled that Saturday so everyone will be able to come especially the kids.
Here are the pics of the Shakey's celebration of my nephew's 7th Birthday:

Surprise Visit
So the day after we celebrated my niece's 13th birthday at Isabelo Gardent Restaurant, we thought of surprising my sister (and her family) at their condo the next day. However, I did not want them to be tooo surprised. So I sent an sms to my brother-in-law to tell him we were coming. He replied with.. "are you serious?" Hehehe! We totally were.
My sister did not have any plans of celebrating her birthday that week because she had work. However, we did not allow her not to celebrate it. But I think she thought that we went there to celebrate Yang's birthday again. hehe!

What Mother Would Not Want That
Okay so what I am doing now? Well I am presently reviewing my daughter for her exams (unit tests) next week. You could say that the end is almost near and I am quite happy with her grades. However, the last quarter for the year in terms of scope is smaller but the topics are quite hard. I even had a hard time doing them myself especially since the subject matter in her Filipino subject is answering questions Who (Sino), What (Ano), Where (Saan), and Why (Paano) and also reading short stories and answering questions based on the story. Just last week, I had a hard time answering the questions and composing the sentences in Tagalog. I cannot believe it. The thing is you have to compose sentences that are grammatically correct in Filipino. We all know how hard that is especially at prep level. For example. One of the questions that I saw in her workbook was, "Paano mo ipinakikita sa kaibigan mo na mahal mo siya?", We thought of several answers for that and at that time I was not able to translate the word "by" in Tagalog. I asked my sister yesterday and she said it's "sa pamamagitan". So can you just imagine the spelling the goes with it? Let me just remind you my daughter is in prep level. So yeah.. it is pretty ding dang hard..
However, since it is hard I am not putting too much emphasis on it since I cannot answer some of the questions correctly myself. I can answer them but I am not that sure if my grammar is correct! Ha! Ha! Diba? Am I correct or am I correct? I figure since she has already received recognition certificates for the past 3 quarters, we can skip 4th quarter right? LOL! So anyways, I am not expecting much. However, I am still hoping that she will do her best. If she receives an award at the end of the year, well I will be happy. If she does not, I will also be happy. I do not know if my attitude towards receiving awards will change as she grows older. I mean who would not be happy if a daughter (or a son) of hers will receive service award pins right? I would be. Who would not love pinning on service pins during graduation rites? Hehe! I know parents are usually the ones who do that right? So whether she and my other daughter take up nursing and I get to pin nursing pins on them, or take up some other course and get awards pins there, I will be ecstatic for sure!

Secret Garden Restaurant
My niece celebrated her birthday at Isabelo Garden Restaurant. If you are a food lover, I am sure you have eaten there already or at the very least heard of it. They do not accept walk-in customers so in order to get a chance to eat there, you have to make a reservation. The food is oh so yummy. The ambience is just right. The owner who is also the cook/chef introduced herself to us before she prepared our meal. The funny thing about this place is you will not find any directions going there. The owner herself will not give you a map until she confirms your reservation. So it is simply amazing how word spreads around especially if the food is great. You do not need advertisements. You do not need to spend money to advertise yourself because word gets around. It was a welcome change from the commercialized food establishments where we always eat at.
