My Baby Is Already 5 Weeks Old

Time flies by so fast!  I now have a 5-week old baby. Hehehe!  Just as I am curious as to what is happening inside my tummy when I was still pregnant, I am more curious as to what is going on with my baby now that she is outside my tummy and here with me.  That is why I am grateful that babycenter.com still sends me updates when it comes to my baby.

Head's up!

Your baby's neck muscles are getting stronger, which allows her to hold her head up for short periods. She can support it for a few moments while lying on her stomach, for example, and she can probably turn it from side to side. She may be able to hold her head up when she's in a car seat or front carrier.

The first real smiles

Smiling happens at about the same time in all cultures, so get ready for your baby to reward all your loving care with a beaming, toothless, just-for-you smile. This will probably make your heart melt, even if you've just had your worst night yet.

For Ron Heckman, a new father in Piedmont, California, that first smile from his 6-week-old daughter, Hadley, brought tears to his eyes. "It was a lousy day at work," he recalls. "I was sleep-deprived and the commute traffic that day was incredibly thick. When I finally got home and my wife handed me the baby, who looked straight at me and smiled this gorgeous all-gums grin, I remember thinking, 'She knows me' — and nothing else mattered."

Sound asleep

Your baby may start sleeping longer at night (maybe four to six hours) sometime between 6 weeks and 6 months of age. It's a broad range, and much depends on your baby's development and your behavior.

Most sleep experts suggest putting your baby to bed while she's still awake, but drowsy. This will help her learn to fall asleep on her own, a skill that will come in handy for you both when she wakes in the wee hours of the night. You can help your baby reach that milestone sooner rather than later by establishing healthy sleep habits from the start, such as a bedtime routine with a calming bath, a baby massage, or a bedtime story.

Remember, your baby is an individual

All babies are unique and meet milestones at their own pace. Developmental guidelines simply show what your baby has the potential to accomplish — if not right now, then soon. If your baby was premature, keep in mind that kids born early usually need a bit more time to meet their milestones. If you have any questions at all about your baby's development, ask your healthcare provider.

Introducing Your Baby to Your Pet

Having a new baby can be very exciting; however, your pets may not think so. When bringing a new child into a home that previously had no children, you will need to carefully learn how to introduce your new child and your pets.

If you care for your pets enough that you have pet insurance, you will want to slowly ease them into the process. Before bringing the baby home, make sure you take your pet to get a checkup at the veterinarian's office. Have your pet's nails trimmed and their coat groomed, if necessary. You may also want to get your pet used to baby noises, so playing a CD of a baby laughing or crying may help. Carrying around a baby doll constantly in front of your pet may also help them get used to seeing that sight.

Invest in a baby gate to install at the door of the baby's room. This will show the pet that they should not be going into the baby's room. You can also opt to install a screen door in the room so that you can still leave the original door open, but pets will not be able to enter at all. Before introducing them, have the pet smell the baby's items so that it can get used to the scent. Pet them while they smell the items to show them that it is good behavior they are exhibiting.

Once you do introduce baby and pet, make sure you carefully watch all interactions. Don't turn your head for a second, because in that second something bad could happen. After you bring the baby home, continue to show love and affection to your pet. You don't want them watching the new baby get all the attention, or they may start acting out and showing bad behavior they never showed before.

Bangladesh

My daughter will be representing the country Bangladesh on Friday for the peace para-liturgy that they will be having at school. I still have to orient her about the country (a few information about it such as what continent it belongs to and others) because she will be talking about it on Friday. She is asked to bring a homemade Bangladesh flag and hubby and my daughter already made it last Sunday. Although, hubby thought that Cheska will be bringing it to school the following day. He did not know that she will be needing it a couple of days after pa. Hehehe!   I did not bother telling him just in case he will postpone making it and I, of all people, know how busy he is during the weekday.

Blogging Away to Glory

I love to blog. I've completed over a thousand posts and I’m still going strong. However, starting a blog and maintaining it isn’t as easy as it looks. There's a lot of work involved and one needs to have the passion and the dedication to make the blog grow.

It's estimated that 70% of all blogs that are started die within one year of their inception. That's not too surprising since many bloggers tend to stop writing posts once the novelty of the blog wears off. But if you want your blog to be successful, you have to keep at it. Every blogger has a different reason for writing and while some might want to see their blogs attract hoards of traffic so they can make money from the ads on the page, many others write for the pure joy of writing and use their blogs as digital journals of their lives.

Either way, some people do face problems while maintaining a blog. There are those who find it difficult to write about certain topics, and there are those who face difficulties with the technical aspects of a blog. Sometimes I wonder if technology will ever enable blogs to automatically update themselves like most windows downloads that take care of the PC on a regular basis. But then, if that happened, there would be no need for humans to be involved at all!

I don’t really want my blog to be updated automatically. I love maintaining it and will continue to do so for as long as I can. I only hope that I don’t encounter trouble with new templates and the codes. That is one thing that always frustrates me no matter how hard I try. Hopefully, this template will be here for a long time and I won’t have to deal with making any changes to it.

Peace Through Spirituality

It seems that our lives are getting faster and faster, with more and more responsibilities, technologies, and everyday noise. At a time when finances may be tight and stress may be running high due to work (or lack thereof) or financial issues, like mortgage refinance Minnesota, it’s not only advisable, but extremely healthy for you to find peace, balance, and serenity in your life.

Being able to distress, unwind, and regroup is essential to maintaining the pace that you’ve set for yourself. In hard times, many people turn to religion for help. But even if you don’t believe in one organized faith, nurturing a personal spirituality can be very important to maintain balance and peace in your life.

Spirituality does not necessarily mean that you have to believe in one god or in one organized religion, it just means that you accept the idea that there is a higher being involved in your life and that you develop a relationship with that being. When you accept that presence in your life, it becomes easier to live your life and be more peaceful.

Some ways you can be more spiritual are to read more about different religions. If you have never done so before, read some prominent and important Christan, Jewish, Muslim or Hindu texts. Take the time to internalize their teachings and belief systems. This doesn’t mean you have to join one, but reading about different religions will give you a good sense of what you agree with and what you disagree with, and it may help you form your own spiritual beliefs.

In addition to reading, take the opportunity to visit local houses of worship. If you can talk with members or spiritual leaders, that’s even better. Talking to members or leaders of a faith can give you a sense of how other spiritual people live and what they do on a day-to-day basis.

God's Message For Me Today

On this day of your life, Cheryll, we believe God wants you to know ... that you are unique and precious.

When you try to value yourself for being the best in something, you are bound to fail. Even Olympic champions are the best only for a few years. You are precious to God not because there is no one better than you, but because you are a unique creation of mind, body and spirit, - there is no one like you, - and that is exactly what makes you so indescribably precious.

Life Requires Money and Sometimes Debt Consolidation

It's not easy, this whole life business. There's always so much to do. It feels like it's never ending, and that's even more true when there are financial struggles to deal with. If kids are involved, the financial struggles also become emotional ones, because you can't always explain to your kids why you don't have any money or can't give them something they want. It can make you feel like a failure as a parent when these kinds of things happen, but they aren't your fault. The economy is so bad at the moment that many, many people are where you are - and many of them have even more issues to deal with.

Part of life is knowing when you need help, so don't hesitate to get some assistance if you see that you're having financial problems. You can get a company to offer you debt consolidation, which can make life a lot more bearable. When you consolidate your debt you don't get rid of any of it, but you get one payment instead of a lot of little ones. You also get a lower interest rate in most cases, so you'll end up paying less in the long run.

When you have a lot of little payments you can feel like you'll never get anything paid off. With one bigger payment, though, you'll be able to see your debt being reduced each month. You'll also be able to have a definite payoff date, which can allow you to start planning for the future. The idea of a future plan is an important one, and one that not everyone can easily create. Having firm control over your financial life is one of the best ways to make life easier and a lot more enjoyable for yourself and everyone in your family.

Everbody Should Be Careful Especially At This Time

Everybody should be careful at this time since the season of giving is bringing out the worst in some people.  Take a look at this link and it could be alarming since we always think that it could never happen to us.  Well, it never hurts to take a look at the experience of someone else and learn from that experience.

Be careful everyone!

How Moving Companies Can Get Bloggers Back Online Faster

If you are a full-time, part-time or just for fun blogger who is planning a move, the thoughts that are running through your head may include, “How can I make this move as quick and easy as possible, and reduce the amount of downtime I have away from my blog?” The answer is moving companies.

Pack up Your Stuff

Moving companies offer various services. One of them is to come and pack up your house for you. If you hire a company to do the packing for you, all of the time you would normally spend wrapping up items in bubble wrap and taping up boxes becomes time you can devote to your beloved blog.

Packs and Unpacks the Truck

The hour it takes you to find a cheap moving truck, the half a day it takes you, your spouse and three of your closest friends to pack the stuff in the truck, and however long it takes you to drive to your new home-- in addition to the other half of day it takes you to unload the truck, is all time away from your blog. You can regain this time by hiring professional lovers to handle some or all of these tasks for you.

Faster Setup

Faster packing, transporting and unpacking all leads to the quicker setup of your desk, computer and internet connection. This is just one more way that professional moving companies can get you back up and blogging faster and easier than if you have to move stuff on your own.

In the end, moving companies can end up saving you and your fellow movers’ time. In a scenario where time is money, such as when you earn money to run your blog, then using movers can actually make you money by providing you with more time to blog.

Events For The Next Month

This month we had all these events that we had to go to which I happen to list down on my other blog. Do you know that we were unable to attend even just one? It's crazy.  I do not know what happened.  One thing led to the next and the next thing we know time has already passed by and we were unable to attend the event.

Anyways, I hope that things will get better next month since my friend's baby will have her christening on the 16th. I am one of her godmothers so I better make sure that I will be able to attend or else my friend will get mad at me. Hehehe!   My niece, Bella,  will also have her christening on the 2nd. My eldest sister sent text messages and even an event planner something over at facebook to remind everyone of it even those that are not from where they are, like us. So let me just send you my love and my greetings.. Happy Christening Bella!

Fun Family Dinner Ideas to Get the Whole Family Involved

Do you want your whole family, especially your children, to get more involved in the meal planning and preparation? If you come up with some new ideas (go to foodily.com if you need some help), it will motivate them to learn their way around the kitchen. In addition, when they have a say in what is being served for dinner, they may want to eat it more.

The temptation to stick to tried-and-true dishes that have some modicum of fun in them, such as tacos (because everyone gets to choose their toppings) or spaghetti (because your kids can call it "worms and dirt"), and that's fine. Just look for ways to change those dishes up, and occasionally try some new ones.

For example, instead of making tacos, make a taco pie. All the meat filling and shells are still there, but now they're layered into one dish. Let the kids help you with the layering. Everyone still gets to put the toppings on the slices once they have been cut and transferred to individual dinner plates.

For spaghetti, try a baked spaghetti recipe. The sauce and spaghetti noodles are cooked beforehand (the noodles should be left slightly underdone), then transferred to a casserole dish or baking pan. The cheese (it can be cheddar, Colby, or any other type of hard cheese) is sprinkled on the top, and the whole concoction is popped into the oven for the cheese to melt. Kids will enjoy sprinkling the cheese on, making sure every inch of the spaghetti surface is covered.

If you choose an enthnic dish such as spaghetti or tacos for your dinner idea, go all out and make it a theme night. Print the menu in the featured country's language and spread out butcher paper on the table. Let the kids decorate this makeshift tablecloth with drawings that go along with the theme.

God's Message For Me

I love yesterday's "God's message for me" over at facebook... Check it out.

"

On this day, God wants you to know
... that you only need to Ask. God is waiting for your Asking, waiting to reach out to you.

See!  Yesterday, I think I asked for a lot of things and one of them was my daughter's healing which is actually on top of the list.

Tips for Spending More Quality Time with Your Kids

There is a lot on working parents' plates. We are running a household, working a job (often outside the home) and taking care of kids. The pressure on working moms is especially great, as we try to do the best we can for our kids while at the same time providing for them financially. That's enough to stress out even the most well-adjusted individual. Unfortunately, the little people close to us usually receive the brunt of our exhaustion.

The following are a few suggestions for how to incorporate more quality time with our kids into the family schedule:

The primary strategy is for parents to change the stressed-out mindset. Acknowledge that the demands on us are many. Since this is the case, it is critical to take some time that is just for us to unwind at the end of the workday and work week. Perhaps this is just 10 or 15 minutes of solo time in the bath or a half hour of reading a book each night. This time will go a long way to rejuvenating us and preparing us to tackle family challenges.

Make it a priority as well to be fully present with our children for a set amount of time each day. Children want to know that they are seen, acknowledged and understood. Set aside a few minutes in the morning and at night to engage with our kids about their challenges and progress. Consider incorporating rituals, such as family dinners or breakfasts, walks or regular outings to connect with children.

Working parents might also want to reevaluate living arrangements. If we are currently living in a home that is high maintenance with a big yard, we might want to consider living in Atlanta Luxury Condos instead. Condos are low maintenance and stress free, freeing parents up to spend more time with kids.

Another One For J

My niece has made another accomplishment because she passed the first screening of the school that she wants to go to for next school year. She will undergo  a series of tests again this December and we are all rooting for her. She sang for us last Sunday and her voice has improved tremendously. I would love for her to sing all afternoon and I would not get tired of it.  She sang this heartfelt song and I swear every one of us had tears in our eyes.

Go J! You can do it! I would love to be there for you during the 2nd screening but I am afraid I would have to be left behind because of baby Ramiel. You might get distracted if the baby suddenly cries out. Good luck!

Absent For Two Days

My eldest daughter has been absent in school for two days as of today. Yesterday, she did not want to wake up. I figured since they are having this celebration thing for the whole week at school she can absent herself from school. Besides, she was only on a half-day schedule. When she woke up at 9, which was also the dismissal time for that day only (half-day sched is from 7 - 9 for the morning classes), she was disappointed because she was not able to go to class. I told her I hoped she learned her lesson and that she should wake up early if she wants to go to class. Today, we did not let her go to class because there is this family presentation thing that we wanted to avoid. Hehehe! I know bad example right?  :P Plus the fact that Ramiel is sick too. So if ever, hubby would be the one that will present our family project because I am unable to go,.  If you know hubby, you know that he is more shy than me.

Are Landlines Outdated?

As new technologies continue to change the shape of the telephonic marketplace, some of the older technologies are quickly abandoned in the name of 'keeping your personal life up-to-date.' Take landlines for example. These days, when cell phones dominate the way we stay in touch with one another, landlines have been all but forgotten.

In an attempt to still claim relevance, a lot of landline companies have steeply reduced their phone call rates. If you feel like your cell phone plan has become too much of a financial burden, it may be worth your while to consider reducing the type of your cell phone plan and supplementing that with a new landline. Those old technologies are still just as reliable as new ones, even if they're not so portable.

If this seems like a reasonable consideration, the first thing you should do is make a list of the people you talk to most. Maybe ask them if they have to pay for incoming calls from landlines. Most people don't, and landline calls to cell phones are usually nowhere near as expensive as they are with some cell-to-cell calls or other cell phone plans.

You should also consider your safety. 911 is still a free feature for all phones, but tracking your address and location is almost impossible with a cell phone. With landlines, the personal information can be easily traced, so if you're too incapacitated to talk during an emergency situation, a landline can make the difference between life and death.

Ask yourself how much you really use your cell phone. If you're looking to save money on your monthly cell phone plan, you might be paying too much, especially if you don't use it that much. Share your telephone costs between land and cell lines and you could be saving hundreds of dollars a year.

Ramiel Is Sick

My youngest is sick. She has colds. It started last night. In fact, I did not get any sleep because I was watching over her.  My husband barely slept too.  It's hard because she does not know how to handle it yet. I can't give her any medicines because I do not know what to give her. I am just hoping and praying that she will not develop any fever. I am also hoping that my breastmilk will get rid of the colds. We will go to the doctor tomorrow whether baby Ramiel gets better or worse so he can take a look at my daughter.

Please Lord, make her well or just transfer her colds to me.

Online Games - Protecting Your Children Online

Kids love playing online games; they're one of the fastest growing activities on the Internet. Millions of people are involved in multi-player online games at any given time. While these games are great fun, they can also be a source of danger to your children if you aren't aware of what's going on. To protect your children from potential threats, from bullying to strangers, you need to understand online games, how they work, and keep an eye on things.

Learn the ratings for online games. They're designed to help you choose online games that are appropriate for your children's ages. Some games are suitable for all age groups, while others have a variety of different elements you need to consider, such as level of violence, sexual content, and language.

Monitor your children's online games. The simplest way to do this is to keep the family computer in your family room so that you can glance over periodically and see what's on the screen. Periodically take a look at chats and messages to make sure nothing inappropriate is going on. If there is a problem with another player, contact the game administrator or block that player from future games.

Set specific rules for online games. You can limit how long the kids can play each day and set limits on who they can play with in multi-player games. Playing with a few friends from school is fine, but don't let them interact with strangers in an online gaming environment. Strangers may try to get their email address or ask inappropriate questions.

When playing online games, your kids will usually be using gamertags, which are their online names. Help them choose interesting, fun names that don't reveal anything personal and aren't too close to their real names so that they remain anonymous.

Will Need The Services Of A Good Laywer Such As An Accident Lawyer Atlanta Any Time Soon

Last evening I read something in facebook that really pissed me off. Apparently, my eldest sister fell asleep while driving and they almost fell off a cliff.  She was with one of her sons which added to my ire.  Plus the fact that this was not the first time that it happened.  I really wanted to post a comment to tell her what I feel but I decided against it. I figure I will just post a comment when I am already calm and collected. Of course, I can always refer her to an Accident lawyer georia or a personal injury attorney atlanta but at this time I would rather refer her to a therapist. Something is seriously wrong especially since this is not the first time that this has happened.

Actually, it is not just about them that I am worried about.  I am also worried about the people that she will meet along the way. A person might be crossing the street at the same time when she is about to fall asleep or another car might be passing by too at the exact moment when she is spiraling off to wherever. Talk about carelessness.  It is not only her life that she is putting in danger but the lives of others too. I just hope that she has learned her lesson this time around. I know she can always hire a lawyer, a good one, such as a car accident lawyer atlanta. However that is not the point though it is always best to know whom to contact just in case something bad happens. Hay!

Happy 1st Month Ramiel!

My baby Ramiel celebrated her 1st month last Thursday (August 23). We celebrated with my parents and youngest brother. Of course Ramiel's older sister was here to blow the candle. Hehehe!   Ramiel still looks like a newborn although a bit chubbier.

For her first month, she sleeps all the time. She does not cry much. She is actually making it easy for me to recover. To be honest, I am having a more difficult time managing my eldest since she is also adjusting.  I know that we will all be able to adjust with each other eventually. I just need to give her ample time to do so. I am just so thankful that Ramiel is making it easy on all of us. She is such a good baby.

Saving For A Tour

I am sure you have noticed that I haven't been updating this blog much. It is not that I haven't done a lot of shopping. I have but I think the frequency has lessened because I sometimes refrain myself from going to crowded areas. Right now, malls are super crowded. Plus the fact that I have been saving up for something: that is a vacation. Not just any vacation but a tour, one of those china tours specifically travel machu picchu. So you see I know it is going to cost us but I know it is going to be worth it. I remember that the last vacation that we took was two years ago and it was to Singapore. After that, we have been concerned with ensuring that my daughter could learn as much as possible right here. So we opted to stay at home last summer. This year we did not have much of a choice because of my condition. However, if I am really careful, we could probably spend a few days for an alaska tours. I think it will do me a whole lot of good. I can breathe fresh air and basically have a fun and stress-free vacation with my family. I just hope that my husband will not blow his top once he learns of my plans. In fact, he will thank me once he learns of this site called collettevacations.com where I check out all these tour pacakages.  With the big, big savings that it offers for every tour package. I am sure he will be quite interested.

A Filling Day

What did we do today? We ate a lot.

My mom decided to have another cookfest because when she celebrated her birthday two of her daughters were not here.  When they came back from Indonesia and Singapore, my mom scheduled to cook again.. sort of a repeat of her birthday celebration.  So lunch time composed of seafood galore and we bought another chocolate fudge cake from Red Ribbon. The exact same cake that we ordered for Ramiel's 1st month.  Dinner was composed of seafood (crab, shrimp, squid, etc.), grilled pork and fried chicken.  I was not able to take any pictures because I was busy eating. Hehehe! We had fun because aside from eating.. we also updated our lives with each other... my niece Julia even sang a couple of songs for us. One song left all of us teary-eyed.

My Right To Dream Of A Perfect Vacation

We have been working so hard. We all have our roles to do and we have been working so hard at it that we need to take a break.  We need to take a vacation, see the world. My husband  and I need to spend time together. No more mall trips for me please. I am quite sick and tired of them. What I need or rather what  we need and want is to take one of those europe tours being offered by collettevacations.com. Have you seen their tour packages? It is quite tempting especially ireland tours. Personally, I haven't really considered even in my wildest dreams to go to Ireland but since the package is quite good, I am already considering it.  It is not because I have anything against Ireland, it is just because the country hasn't caught my attention... well all that has changed.  It is now next to my list of destinations to go to if ever I get to go on a vacation. It is already next to australia tours.

Everybody has the right to dream and let me just say that most of my dreams are coming true and it never hurts to add more items on my list. Who knows? This wish might be granted sooner than I think all thanks to collettevacations.com.

22. What blog do you think isn't getting enough notice? my other blog. Hehehe!

The Best Computer Services

Maybe it is the fact that my husband is quite well-versed when it comes to computer hardware problems that I seldom go to a computer shop for my computer needs. However, if it was not the case I will surely go to a computer repair shop that is quite popular and will answer all my computer needs such as Portland pc repair.  I know you have heard of them even if you are not from Portland. I am not from the area either but I have heard so many good feedbacks from them. In fact so many pc repair shops have tried to imitate what they do but they can never compare to Portland computer support services. They know it and their patrons know it. In fact they are their customers are the ones who are spreading the word about how good  PC repair Portland is. That is actually the best kind of advertising, the ones where your customers are the ones who tell what you do and how good your services are. It is cheaper and it reaches the far corners of the world. You do not believe me? Check out Pcmdinc.com and find out for yourself.  In fact I live in the Philippines but I have heard so much about them. Isn't that enough?

Saturday 9: Just Like Me

1. Who in your life do you think behaves and thinks the most like you do? My daughter most probably.

2. As a kid, were you ever wrongly accused (and punished, if it went that far) for something you didn't do? If so, what was it? What happened? Yes. My mom thought that I broke something really expensive at a friend's house because I came home with super red eyes. She thought I cried or something like that. What happened was my friends and I spent the whole afternoon swimming at their cousin's house.  The red eyes were due to the chlorine in the water. I did not tell my mom I went swimming because I did not ask permission.

3. What about as an adult, were you ever wrongly accused for something you didn't do?? Do you think it's worse to be accused as a child or an adult? Why/why not?  Hmmm.. I do not think I have been accused as an adult especially since I can defend myself.  It is more painful to be accused as a child than as an adult because one's defense mechanism hasn't fully developed yet. A person can even carry that pain all throughout his life.

3. What’s the scariest weather situation you’ve experienced? Last year, around this time.. typhoon Ondoy. It was super rainy and the water level kept rising.

4. If you could wake up tomorrow morning in another country, where would you want to be and why? no question.. USA because I want to see Disneyland and Universal Studios with my kids and hubby. I want to see the joy and excitement in their faces.

5. Instead of going to work Monday, if you could spend the entire day doing something else--any one or two things that you absolutely love doing--what would you do? SHOP!

6. What sites (other than meme sites) do you use most to help you post on your blog? babycenter.com

7. Check out a post on your blog from six months ago (March 2010) and tell us what is different now about your blog and/or life? six months ago I was pregnant.. now I already have a baby.

8. What was the last photograph you took? I took a picture of my baby sleeping.

9. Which fashion trend do you believe is the most horrendous and why? shoulder pads

A Good Find

There are a lot of things that I want right now. I want a scanner because I have a lot of old pictures that I want to scan for my file.  I also want a new camera, an iPad, an itouch, etc. In fact, my list does not seem to end but it keeps getting longer because as much as I want them I do not want to spend for them. If somebody were to give them to me, I will gladly accept but if I am the one who is going to spend for them then it would take me years  because I am stingy that way. It is a good thing that I already have a printer. Hubby gave that to me last year. I do not use it for my own purpose. In fact I only use it if my eldest needs something to be printed out or if I make a reviewer I tend to type it and print it out.  Anyways, I have noticed I need a toner refill. It is not actually empty yet but in case I need to print lots of things I need to have them now.

Since I cannot go out of the house as much as before, with a new baby who directly feeds from me, it is a good thing I have found this site called printer-cartridges.com where I can just order online. It also offers printer cartridge and laser printer cartridge refill so if you have printer needs, then it is best to get in touch with them.

Friday Fill-Ins

I wonder what happened to one of my weekly favorite memes called friday fill-ins. I sure miss doing them. The last time I did one was on September 2. It is no longer updating. Maybe the owner of the site is on a vacation or something. Oh well. I better take a snooze while my baby is sleeping. I hardly had any sleep last night.

Online College Degree Program Plans Put On A Pause

My sister and I talk about stuff everyday.. especially if we have the time and the energy to do so. Having a kid can be taxing to a mom.. having 2 can be draining.  Anyways, one of the topics that we had was our plans.  I told her if I did not get pregnant last December, I would have taken an online college degree program to jumpstart my career. I am actually thinking of a different path. Very different from the one that I had so I won't be going back to the corporate world any time soon.  Since my eldest was already going to a big school, at that time, I thought I did not have anything to do while she is away, I thought of enrolling to different job training programs. I plan to not limit myself to just one so I will be able to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life while earning at the same time. I want to try different things and decide on just one that I will truly love and enjoy doing until the end of my days. This is the reason why I am always checking out the career development center at frontstart.com. I needed guidance. I do not want to waste any more years doing something that I do not really enjoy.  SO anyways, all my plans were put on a pause (for just a little while), until my youngest baby goes to school and I am left all alone at home with nothing to do but to wait for them which is a big no-no for me.  A few years after that, I better have a career that will make my daughters proud of me.

My Mutterings For The Week

Since my eldest is already sleeping and my youngest is with hubby I have a little time to mutter. Hehehe! So here goes:
  1. Mustache ::  take it off especially if you plan to kiss my baby
  2. Person :: are you your own person?
  3. Restore :: and renovate
  4. Discretion ::it's your decision
  5. Lamp ::we are using it again at night to give me ample light in the room so I can see my baby
  6. Pillow cover ::should be replaced frequently
  7. Arousal ::it's natural, part of human nature
  8. Seattle :: Sleepless in Seattle.. one of my favorite movies
  9. ATM ::where I can get money so I do not have to go to the bank
  10. Custard ::none for me, thanks.

Which One Should I Get

I am thinking of whether I should buy a new camera or a laptop. The dilemma does not end there because once I have decided which one to get, I have to decide what kind to get. If I choose a laptop should I get a custom laptop?  Once I get a new one, I know that it will be another set of years before I get a new one again. Although hubby suggests that I get a desktop computer instead. To help me decide I am checking out Howard custom computers because they have all these custom computers.

However, I have not really decided yet if I will be getting a computer. All I know is I want either one. I just do not know if it is because it is because every member of my family is getting new gadgets these days.   My sisters had gotten themselves an iphone and new lumix cameras. My mom also bought a lumix camera for herself. My niece received a new canon camera as well last Sunday.  So I am taking my time to see whether I really want one because I need it or is it because  I just want a new gadget to tinker with. Hehehe! If ever, a new laptop or computer will be more useful to me (oh and I do really want an iPad.).

Her First Swimming And Picnic Activity

My eldest is quite excited for her upcoming swimming and picnic activity in school this coming Wednesday.  In fact, if I need her to do something and she does not want to do it, I remind her of her activity in school and she will gladly do it. It's just like magic. Hehehehe!  These kinds of activities sort of balances things out with the heavy academic load that she is having. In fact on Thursday and Friday, she will be having the 2nd mid-quarter test or Unit Test 2. So at least she already had her fun and when it's over it is time for her to become serious once again. I hope that she will do well because we haven't even started reviewing her lessons. Anyways, it is just too bad I will not be able to take any pictures since the activity is just for the students. In this case, it is only for prep students.

Keeping Informed

My brother-in-law spent the weekend attending a seminar on stocks. He is quite good at it. In fact, I know that he has made a lot of money by investing in stocks. The money that one can make in stocks can actually be compared to gold coins. It is that valuable especially if you know what you are doing.  That is why even if my brother-in-law is already familiar with stocks, he makes it a point to attend seminars regarding it. It is best to be updated with the information that one needs to improve one's craft or skill.  Who would not want  that especially if it will bring in more moo-lah! Although with gold coins it is easier since all you got to do is to read up and find out anything and everything that you need from United States Gold Bureau.

Spending Lunch With The In-Laws

Today I got to spend it with my in-laws as my husband's oldest brother treated us for lunch at Parilla.  It was the birthday of his son last week and his birthday is coming up this week too.  It was such a shame that we did not bring any camera with us so there weren't any pictures. However it did not deter us from not having fun. In fact, we had a great time just sharing stories and eating. Personally, I had a great time chatting with hubby's niece as she told me some of the things that have been happening in her life.   It sort of brings back memories when I was still her age.  Fun times!

What I Should Do

My daughter has been bringing all these stuff at school. She has replaced what she is supposed to bring to class with other things that she does not really need such as a bookmark, mechanical pencils and others. And checking her stuff now made me realize that I have been lax with her. I am supposed to check her bag everyday. But I was not able to because of the new baby and all.  So I feel that it is my fault and a lot of things that she needs in school we cannot find anymore.  It is already too late to buy them at the nearest book store.Oh well. I learned my lesson.

Since I learned my lesson, my daughter can expect that I will be a little more attentive to her. I will give her the time and the attention that she needs.  Not as much as when it was just the two of us but more attention that what I have been giving her since I have given birth. I will be more patient. I will be more supportive too and try my best to shake of these baby blues that seem to creep up at the most inopportune time.  The truth is I am a little overwhelmed with just about everything that is happening right now.  I am trying my best to cope. However, when it comes to my firstborn I should try a little harder .

What My Daughter Wants To Be At This Very Moment

It kind of surprised me when my daughter Cheska suddenly said, "Ma look at me! I am a fashion model" then she did her ramp model walk. It was entertaining and amusing at the same time.  It actually brought a smile to my face because it would seem that at this very moment she really likes to become one.  So if she decides to become one in the future I will not stop her from pursuing her dreams. She can be anything she wants to be.  The world is her oyster.  Heck, I will even enroll her in cosmetology school in Orange Park if that is what she wants.  In fact I will support her all the way which is the reason why I have been working extra hard these past few days. We have to pave the way for them.. provide them the best education we can possible afford, give them the opportunities that they need to succeed in life and that's what Regency Beauty Institute does. It makes dreams come true especially for people who want to become successful cosmetologists.

Communication Has Reached New Heights Due To Magic Jack Numbers

When we hear the initials M.J., a few famous personalities come to mind including Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan and others. What we do not know is, in the communication and technological world, the initials, M and J stands for magic jack, particularly magic jack numbers. They provide one of the best VOIP service. We all know how communication is important in today's world. The great thing about it is it has evolved into new heights because of the internet or the world wide web. Now we have conference calls, VOIP and others. We even have magic jack numbers and VOIP which makes communication easier and faster.

Extremely Grateful

It was fortunate that we were able to attend the Sunday Service this morning.  As what I have been blogging about these past few days, I have the baby blues. But this morning instead of feeling sorry for  myself  I felt sorry for somebody else. I realized that there are people who have less than me and I am just thankful that my kids are okay.  At church, there is a father asking for help for his 14-year old son. I do not know the details of his medical condition but there is something wrong with his palate that an infection could damage his brain. I do not think it is any way related to Accutane Lawsuit. I think it is a birth defect but I am not sure.  It is best to ask for advice from txinjurylawfirm.com just to be sure.  Anyways, when I heard that the father carried his son on his back from PGH to Marikina because his son could not walk because of the operation that he just had, it just broke my heart. You see they do not have the money for cab or jeepney fare. They are not asking for fare what they needed was money for the post-op medication of his son.  They can no longer afford to pay for his son's medication. Anyways, I saw the son's condition, it was heartbreaking.  I saw the dad and I saw how much he loved his son.  It was heartwarming. Things like that make me grateful for what I have and it brought me back to the reality of how blessed I am. How can I have the blues after that?

9. What is your absolute favorite piece of furniture you have and why? the bed because that's the place where I rest.

Wishing For Snow

The heat is keeping me up all night. Plus the fact that my baby is sweaty is not helping too though she is not fussy.  Something is wrong with the airconditioning unit. Hay!   Anyways, since it is so hot I am imagining I could spend my nights somewhere where there is snow.  There are times when I wish we can get to experience snow here such as this very moment.  Although I know that having snow would require vehicles to get snow chains or even tire chains. I know we would need one if ever because we pass by many rough roads and not having them while the roads are slippery and icy can be very dangerous. It is a good thing I know of this site called easytrekking.com where we can buy them if there is a need too. The site is so useful since it also sells tents and other outdoor gear.

So anyways, since the heat is unbearable I decided to turn on the air conditioning unit again to see whether the smell is really coming from the unit. Here's hoping that it isn't or else we really have to consider buying a new unit again.

KFC Shakin Shots Commercial

Remember the 4 guys who were rooting for Venus Raj during the Ms. Universe 2010 pageant?  Well, they already have their very own commercial. Imagine that.  Hehehe! I am so happy for these guys as they made so many people all over the world happy watching them root for Ms. Philippines.

Check it out.

Looking For Online Printing Service and Other Suppliers

Last night we got the rates from one of the nearby restaurants in our area. Suffice to say we are already planning for our baby's baptism/dedication. We haven't decided yet where but we are already looking for possible areas and we are already preparing for the expenses. The expenses should include everything from the reception venue down to the Printing Service of the invitation for the baptism. I do not know if I will have the time to do the Custom Printing of the invitations myself which is why I am looking at my1stop.com for Online Printing services. As you all know I am still confined at home. Aargh! I can't wait for this one month thing to be over. I want to drive my daughter to school and go scout for suppliers and arrange all the things that should be arranged for my daughter's baptism/dedication.  I am sure hubby can't wait for it too because he has been doing the errands that I should be doing.  Anyways as for godmothers and godfathers, I have already asked a couple of our friends to be the godmother/godfather. One category that we have is they should be good sons/daughters to their parents. Hehehe!

Baby Stroller Hooks

I would like to give thanks to my sister Che once again because she gave these hooks that she personally attached to baby Ramiel's stroller. She noticed that there weren't any hooks where we can hang our bags. Although there is a large compartment underneath the stroller where we can place the baby's things. Hooks are important in a stroller so you will be able to reach for things that you need to at the time when you need them. You need things to be handy at all times.  Plus there will always come a time when you need to hang bags (whatever kind it is) to the stroller so both your hands are free.

Anyways, tenchu again!

Sick Leave But Still At Work Due To Conference Calls

Yesterday was a fun day for me because I got to spend it with my family. My hubby took a sick leave because he was not feeling well so we spent the whole day together just doing nothing for the most part of the day. Although, there were times when hubby has to attend Conference calls so he worked even if he was not feeling well. He promised that he will go the doctor today to have his eyes checked. He has been experiencing headaches everyday. Anyways,  I remember my older sister who had to leave before 9 pm to get to her home last Friday because she too had an Audio conference to attend to.So these days you no longer have to go to the office to attend meetings, you can just stay at home and do your work as if you were in the office. Though  you need to get a good and reliable provider for Audio conferencing to have a successful conference call such as conferencegroup.com.  Let us face it not all conference calls providers give quality service.  If it is an important meeting, you would want to get a service you can always rely on and that is conferencegroup.com.

So anyways as soon as the calls were done and everything that had to be done was done, hubby took a rest and slept the afternoon away.

Kinda Worried

I was so tired last night. I was awake at 3 am because my baby was awake and I was watching over her.  So anyways, I was so tired and sleepy that I did not even notice hubby and daughter leave the home this morning. They did not bother to wake me. I am kind of worried because I do not know if my daughter has extra snacks in her lunch bag today. I always make sure that she has extra food so just in case she gets hungry on the way home, she has something to eat.

Keeping In Touch Via Web Conference

My oldest sister has been spilling her heart out over at facebook. She has been telling how hard it is for couples to be apart for a period of time. I can't help but agree but it was even harder back then when all we had to hope for was snail mail. These days, thanks to the power of the internet, couples can now communicate via a Web conference. They can even opt to have a Video conference if they want to.  It is easier these days than back in the good old days. I know what I am talking about because I was in a long distance relationship back then. It did not work out because of lack of communication and probably because we were  too young. However, if there was Web conferencing, maybe the relationship lasted a little longer. But who knows right? Things happen for a reason anyways.  So my sister should not fret because in this day and age where technology is part of our lives, a long distance relationship is no longer distant.  She can call and see her partner any time she wants to.Don't you agree?  And this can be attributed to the power of the World Wide Web.

A Short Chat That Made My Day

The only night that I do not have PPD is the night when my eldest daughter has to act up that even her dad got mad at her. Hay! Anyways, earlier tonight my friend Dr. R and I had a short chat which actually made my day because she knew how it was to exclusively breastfeed. I had to put down the phone because Ramiel was already crying. She also told me about this package that she got at Boracay. She got a villa type of room for only P5K for 5 days. How cool is that? Anyways, I told her that the next time she learns of a package like that she should inform me so we will be able to go too. Hopefully, by that time, Ramiel is a little bigger. I just can't wait!

Be Aware

They say the by exclusively breastfeeding, I minimize my risk on getting breast cancer. So it does not only benefit my baby but it benefits me as well. Of course I am hoping that it will make me lose weight but I seriously doubt it. I will keep you guys updated about that.  So anyways, there is still a lot we do not know about breast cancer. The sad truth about it is so many women are still unaware or oblivious to the fact that it can hit them too. I know a couple of women who had breast cancer. Some were successful in their battle against cancer.  Others were not so lucky.  It is sad really because it can be caught early on.  This is the reason why I like one of my e-groups because it sends a breast check notice monthly to remind us wives to regularly check our breasts for lumps.  It helps to be reminded because as much as we do not want to admit it, we sometimes forget to even check.  So if you see a pink ribbon, please be reminded that your health is important and it is time for you to check for lumps.  Actually, let us all help one another by supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness merchandise. It does not cost much besides it is for a good cause. These are just one of the fundraising products for businesses that I really admire because there is a cause and the cause that they have, I can fully appreciate.

Lamaze Jungle Toy Gym

This afternoon my baby tried out her lamaze jungle gym toy. Actually, it belongs to her ate but her ate barely used it when she was still a baby. Thus, it is the sole reason why it still looks like it is brand new. Any hoo, I think that Ramiel is still too young to play with it. Although she touches the hanging thingies when she wants me to carry her. Heheheeh!

Bloggers Need to Learn Motion Graphics After Effects Too

As a blogger it is important that you do not rely on your blogging platform. It is important that you know at least a little bit about html, widgets, after effects animation; and others.  You know why? So you can modify and make changes on your blog  (website) the way you want it to or rather any way you want it to.  Sometimes the only thing that stops us is from making changes to our blog(s) is the fact that we are afraid fearing that it will make irreparable damage to our site.  However, there are specific software that you can use for the changes that you want to make or additional features that you want to add to your blog such as motion graphics after effects. One specific example is the after effects software from revostock.com.  Imagine just having that in your blog will drive more visitors to your site. Who would not want to come back and visit a site that is unique and interesting? Thus, even if the content is about food or home life, your readers who are not only interested in food or home life will come back to check what is new in your blog. So learn and make changes in your blog.  You will never regret incorporating something new especially if you get it from revostock.com because they will make it easier for you.  In fact it has been used by artists, advertisers, publishers and other bloggers as well.

Happy Birthday Kyle!

I would like to greet hubby's nephew a very happy birthday. I am so sorry we could not come because I am unable to and we still haven't bought you a gift because I can't go to the mall just yet but as soon as I can, I will buy you a shirt. hehehe!

Anyways, grabbed this photo from his FB account and doesn't he look dashing in this pic? Hehehe!

Happy Birthday Kyle!

Wishing For Superbowl Tickets

Maybe it is the fact that I have been cooped inside the house for the past few weeks that is making me sad. Maybe it is the fact that I do nothing all day but watch tv. I even watch the reruns of the shows that I just watched earlier.  Sad noh?  I am hoping that this month is over so I can go out when I want to. Of course, malling will have to be kept to a minimum because of the baby. I guess all we can do are short trips which is okay with me I just want to get out of the house when I want to.  Maybe that is the very thing that is bugging me. In fact, I have run out of websites to read that is how bored I am. I am super bored.  I am not a person who likes sports but if somebody were to give me Superbowl tickets, I will go in a second.  I have always been curious about Superbowl.  In fact, I have seen the pictures of my cousin K attend the superbowl games and it would seem that she has enjoyed watching tremendously. I have seen pictures of players, cheerdancers and my cousin rooting for their team.  I am sure she had gotten those Super bowl packages because they came in a group which makes me wonder how much does it cost to Buy superbowl tickets. I am sure my question will be answered by sportsevents.com in one click.  They give the best deals when it comes to sporting event tickets.

Hoping For A Better Mood Tonight

My hubby called just now to check whether I am okay. Since I haven't been talking to him for the past two days I guess he is already worried.  He even asked me if I still have a migraine which I had last night.  It is kind of sweet of him to check on me but he also told me about this problem that he is having so I do not know what mood I will be in when he comes home.  Hopefully, I will be in a better mood tonight.

Sporting Event Tickets Are The Perfect Thank You Gift For Hubby

I know my husband is doing his best to take care of us especially since I cannot. He has been doing errands especially the ones that has to be done outside the home, paying the bills aside from working during the day. He is also taking care of our eldest because I am super uber busy with our second child.  I haven't really told him but I do appreciate what he is doing for us.  In fact, I might even give him Sporting event tickets as a surprise. I wonder if he would want to get ahold of Colts tickets or  Kentucky derby tickets.  There was a time when he watched a live Paquiao boxing event with my brother-in-law.  I saw how excited he was. It would have been more exciting if they got to watch it live in Las Vegas. I am sure they would have been giddy happy and unable to sleep the night before.  Anyways, it was an experience that I am sure he would never forget.  It is different when you get to watch a game in real life as compared to watching it live on tv.  Just like watching a concert live, the feeling is different, the hype is different. You can feel the energy exuded by others and they can feel yours too.  That is why I love to check out the different tickets offered by sportevents.com. They offer different deals for different sporting event tickets. Aside from that they also offer concert tickets, theatre tickets and others. In fact, I consider the one stop shop for tickets.

A Family Project For School

We have been procrastinating on this family assignment (project) thing of my daughter.  This assignment will be presented on the 28th of this month.  My husband and I have been battling on who gets to be the one who will present it.  He says that we should just absent ourselves from the occasion.  I would like to say yes but it does not really show my daughter the right attitude on assignments and education per se. Hay!

Anyways, the assignment is about the the thrust or the direction of the school which should be embraced by the whole family and not just by the students.    We were given guidelines on how to do it including the processing of one of the keywords assigned per family. We are to focus on the keyword and work on it and show it via a mounted photo project which will be presented on the said date.

Hay! I hope we will be able to do it this weekend.

After Effect Plugins For Ramiel's Baptism

I do not know if I should start planning for my daughter's baptism/dedication. With my first, I think she was baptized around 2 months after she was born. So I do not know if she should be baptized after two months too. It would be perfect if she was baptized/dedicated the day we got married. The date is actually perfect since the date is on a weekend. To be honest, it is hard to plan especially when you are tied at home and can't meet or even scout for suppliers. Although I can probably make a video montage of her. A short video around 3 minutes or maybe even less will do. It is not that hard especially if you use Revostock.com.

I can use hd stock footage and stock video clips of her ultrasound and the videos that were taken of her when she was born. Apparently, hubby took lots of videos and pictures of her. These videos and pictures I can use for after effect plugins. I can even show them here after the occasion. Of course, I do not want to ruin the surprise by preempting it and showing it here. I can probably show it after the celebration. It is going to be quite easy since I will be using what Revostock.com can offer especially since professionals have used this over the years to make motion after effects graphics and after effects animation. I will probably start doing it after hubby gives the go-signal.

UAAP Cheerdancing Competition 2010

Last Sunday, I was able to watch the replay of the UAAP Cheerdancing Competition 2010.  My sisters and I have always enjoyed watching the cheerdancing competition ever since I can remember. Of course, we have always rooted for our own schools. Hehehe!  This year although I did not get to watch all the schools, I was able to watch the ones who won.  Galing!  They all leveled up!

For those who did not get to watch, I was able to find the videos at youtube.  1st place was given to UP, 2nd place to FEU and 3rd place to UST.

UP

FEU

UST

Personally, I have my own opinion as to who should have been 1st, 2nd and 3rd. But that is just me. Hehehe! Watch the videos and see.

The Perfect Cure For The PPD

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Kissimmee Tourism. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have a mean case of PPD or post-partum depression.  Last night, the yaya left the door open which she usually does but last night it brought me to tears.  Can you believe it?  I could hardly believe it myself. You should have seen me the tears just won't stop.  Plus I did not want to talk to anybody so I slept early.  I feel so guilty afterwards when hubby and my eldest daughter left for work and school this morning.  I did not want to move. I feel so tired. Anyways, I am trying my best to shake myself out of this PPD thing. Everything is fine. I do not know why this is happening. My baby is ok and fine. We are all ok and fine.  I guess what I need is a change of atmosphere. I need a vacation.  I want a Kissimmee vacation.

I have been to Florida once.  It was one of the places in the USA that I would want to go back to.  The place is great.  Disney World Florida is right there. The weather is perfect.  The people are friendly. What more can I ask for?  Actually there is and that is where I want to go. I want to go to the heart of Florida.  I want to spend more time there. We did not get the chance to explore and experience Florida back then. as much as we wanted to, because we were in a rush.   By going to Kissimmee, we can get to experience everything because everything is just an hour away. My family and I can go back to Disney World. We can go to the beach. We can get to experience airboat rides and zip-lining and others.   We can do all the outdoor things that we have always wanted to do.  I can already imagine how much everyone is going to have and how happy everyone is going to be. Just imagining what we are going to do takes the PPD out of my system.

Anyways, if you have plans of going to Florida, drop by and see what I am talking about.

Cooling Options

My husband is thinking of changing one of the electric fans in the room.  If you must know we have 3 electric fans in the room, specifically one stand fan, one Ceiling Fan, and one small industrial fan. We also have one airconditioning unit in the room and one air cooler but the air cooler no longer works.  My hubby is thinking of changing the industrial fan to another stand fan because eldest daughter keeps on moving it around. I think that we should check out the Ceiling Fans at Hansenwholesale.com. Although, I will prefer it more if we change the ceiling fan instead.  Besides I already know where to get the best ones with the best price and it is at  Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans  .

If you are wondering why we need so much fans in the room, when I was pregnant I needed one electric fan solely for myself. It was so hot I could hardly breathe back then so it was pointed only at me during the day and night. We only turn on the aircon unit during the night. My daughter followed suit so the small industrial fan is for her use. Hehehe!  Although, I noticed with the ceiling fan, it is really cooler especially if we use it to complement the cool air coming from the airconditioning unit which is the reason why I turned off the stand fan last night because I was really cold or maybe it was the fact that I am no longer pregnant.

Anyways, you can also  Find out who makes the Best Ceiling Fans here!

A Golden Moment

I was checking out us gold bureau earlier for some news on gold bullion this evening when my daughter asked me if we can read the bible together. How can I say no? Even if I have lots of things to do this evening such as fix the clutter inside the room, I could not say no. So she read the first chapter of the bible which is  Genesis 1 and she wanted to continue on to the second chapter. I told her that starting today we will read one chapter everyday. I even gave her my old bible. I think it was a lapse on my part that I haven't given her one of the most important books that she will ever own in her life.Although she has the children's version of the bible ever since she was born but today she has her very own bible, one that she can use and read and reread over and over again until she gets old.  I am so happy that she asked me to read with her because something unexplainable happened yesterday which really scared me.  Anyways, I need to get back to my research and reading about gold on usgoldbureau.com.

Never Ending

A mother's work never ends especially if you have already have 2 kids. Plus, I do not delegate. I prefer to do some of the things myself, especially things that my daughters need such as cleaning of bottles or fixing my daughters' clothes cabinets. I directly breastfeed but there are times when I use the baby bottles so I prefer to clean them myself so I know for sure that the bottles are being cleaned correctly.  You can never tell when they are not being cleaned properly especially if you do not do see them being cleaned or you do not do them yourself. My husband has been urging me to let the yaya do it but I really prefer to do it myself.  Anyways, all I want to say is I still have bottles and a breast pump to clean tonight. Hehehe!

The Right Attire

Before I gave birth, I have noticed that  a lot of buildings are being renovated.  Since we have a treehouse, I can see the construction of one of the preschools nearby and they have extended their building from 1 floor to 3 floors.   I saw that some of the construction workers were not wearing the proper attire for construction such as work gloves, hardhat and others.  If only, we are more strict when it comes to safety regulations which includes the proper attire for construction, even if it is only a small project, the workers are safe.  We all see construction workers wearing the right attire as dictated by the safety regulations if the project is really big. In fact, they will not be able to enter the construction site if they do not wear the right attire and that includes a hard hat.

I remember when the tree house was being made, I noticed that one of the workers of my dad wore Carhartt work gloves which is a must especially since he is handling the cutting of steel, etc.  It would have been better if he wore Carhartt clothing such as Carhartt coveralls but I guess he was more concerned with the heat. It was very hot last summer so I could not blame him if he did not want to cover himself from head to foot. I am sure if it was not that hat he would have worn the right attire. I am just glad that he had those gloves and the right eyepiece so he was pretty much safe.  I remember the carpenter that my dad hired had an accident, albeit a minor one. He was absent for a week or 2.  I think a plank fell on his foot so he was not able to walk for a week and he used the other week to recover. He came back when all was well. Now, the renovation is over and done with and I think my dad is quite satisfied with the work that has been done on his house.

Migraine

I woke up from my aftenoon nap with a pounding headache. As in I could not see straight because it was so painful.  I had  to take mefenamic acid to relieve me of the pain. Good thing I have lots because of my cs operation.  I haven't been taking them unless it was absolutely necessary. In case you do not know, I have a high tolerance for pain.  So you can just imagine how painful this headache was that I had to take meds.

So anyways, as of this moment, I am okay.  I took a pill, took a bath, ate my dinner and the pain has finally gone away.

What To Give For Christmas

I am thinking of giving all my nephews and nieces comic books for Christmas. Since I cannot go out and shop, not with 2 kids in tow, I plan to do all my shopping online. I found this great site called newkadia.com where I can get comic books (different kinds) for my nephews and nieces. They all love to read and I am sure they will appreciate them. I would especially if someone gets me those Archie and Friends comics. I never get tired of reading those. I sometimes read them over and over again.  It brings out the child in me.  The thing with the site, newkadia.com, is it has a huge collection of different kinds of comic books. I even found several series that my husband would appreciate. So if ever I do not find an appropriate gift for him online, he will probably receive several comic books too. Hehehe!

I am so thankful there are a lot of online sites where a person can just shop for what they want and need at a particular moment. I know there are a lot of people just like me who are unable to go out and shop which is frustrating because Christmas is just around the corner. Thus, sites such as newkadia.com are a big help not only to comic book enthusiasts but people like me who want to show friends and family that we care.

Dilemma

I have a dilemma. Tomorrow is my Ramiel's first doctor's appointment and I do not know how we are going to go to the doctor's clinic. AS you all know, I still am unable to drive and hubby has to work. So it's either we go with him in the morning and wait for the 3 pm appointment or we take a taxi  and go to the clinic, wait for hubby's work to end so he can fetch us and we can all go home together.  This option will enable me to bring Cheska along with us too since she comes home at 12 pm.  I am leaning towards the latter option. I just hope that it does not rain tomorrow.

On another note, Cheska is taking the school bus and loving every minute of it. I am not worried because school buses have bus mothers so all the kids are well taken care of.  She already asked me if she can continue riding the school bus even when I am already able to drive. Let us just see.

Andrew And His Love For Spiderman

I just remembered my nephew Andrew who will be celebrating his birthday next month.  I wonder what he wants. He used to like spiderman.  I am thinking of giving him spiderman comic books for his birthday. Since he lives so far away, I could send it to him via post mail. I am sure he will be surprised. I can give him the whole series if he want to but somebody has to tell me first that he is still into spiderman because I can get him another comic book at newkadia.com.  They have a wide scale of comic books. Comic books that you think you will not be able to find, you will be able to locate at the site.

So what do you guys think? Should I proceed with Spiderman or some other superhero?  If only I could ask him but that would ruin the surprise. Although, I could ask him now via facebook and he would not have an inkling since his birthday is still next month or he might think about it but forget about it eventually. Hehehe!  Anyways, comic books are great ideas for gifts especially for boys.  If I have a baby boy, I will give him all the comic books that he wants. It can even enhance his reading since he will be encouraged to read.

Random Thoughts

This week is a four-day workweek which does not really concern me directly since I do not work. However,  it just makes me so happy since it is going to be another long weekend for us... more bonding time for the 4 of us. Yey! However, we will probably spend the time doing my daughter's assignment.. actually, it is the assignment of the whole family and this will be presented during pre-school week. Hay!  More on that later.

On another note, I conquered my fear and gave Ramiel a bath. I was able to do it on my own and I am so proud of myself. Although she cried when I placed her inside her baby tub which made me go a little faster. I hope that the succeeding baths will be more pleasant. To be honest, compared to yesterday, today was a lot less stressful.

Used Cars

Just this afternoon, my husband was telling me that if ever we buy another car, the plate number should not end up in either 1 or 2.  I  actually told my husband if he gets a new one , I will be quite scared to drive it. I do not want to be the one drive whenever the car gets scratches. I jokingly told him if ever he will buy a car, he should do it around mid-December so the license plates will end up in 9 or 0.  Hubby told me that he prefers it that way so we will no longer go out every Friday. Bummer! Hehehe!

Anyways, if hubby were to ask me, secondhand cars are enough for me especially if he gets it from a reputable agent or agency such as dallas used cars. It is almost like driving a new car.  He told me he is willing to check-out used cars which made me really happy.  So if you guys are near the area and you are looking for a car, check out dallas Toyato or irving Toyota. I would, if ever I am near the area but I am not, so I have to content myself with online sites. Hopefully, if hubby's plans push through, we will have a brand new, spanking car by end of this year or early next year.
