Burger Shop 2

I know I have already finished this game from way back but since the site where I usually get my games  no longer exist. Huhuhuhu! And so I had to make do with the stored games that I have in my hard drive.  I still have a few and it is such a good thing that I still have them. So I played with it all the levels including the career mode and the challenge mode. I did not stop until I got a gold medal in all of them which is the reason why I took so long. I did not settle for a silver or a bronze. Hehehe!

Burger Shop 2

In Burger Shop, you successfully created a universal chain of restaurants and found fame and fortune... Until one day, you found yourself in a dumpster with a bump on your head, your restaurants boarded up, and no memory of how any of it happened. Now, in Burger Shop 2, you must rebuild your restaurant empire by using your Time Management skills, adding new twists to your menu to entice new customers, while uncovering the truth about what happened to your original restaurant chain!

Another Busy Day For Me

To say that I have been busy for the past few days is an understatement.  I do not know how I cope. Hehe! Today I planned to do my pending articles but when I got home, my hubby called to tell me that I should leave right away because my doctor will be staying only until 1 pm.  It was already 10 am.  It was a good thing that my daughter was on shortened period today (from 7 - 9) so I just waited for her at the school's parking lot.  So anyways, all the things that  I planned to do this morning went ka-phhht because I had to rush to the doctor.  While waiting at the doctor's clinic, I let (or rather forced) my daughter to do her math worksheets and math homework. We were not doing anything anyways, we were just waiting.  Since she has another unit test this week (Reading and Math on Thursday and Language and Filipino on Friday), I planned to review her again (on her Thursday exams) when we got home. Plus, I was thinking I have to fix all the baby stuff (clothes, etc) that my mom gave me this morning.  I left everything on the bed including the Organic Baby Gift Sets that I received.  We were trying to segregate them when my hubby called.  All of this plus my articles (for my Aussie boss) that I haven't done up until this minute.  I can't seem to find the words especially since the topics for yesterday and today are really hard. Hehehe!  Blame it on the fact that I seem to be preoccupied when it comes to choosing the right date to give birth.  I am considering a lot of things and on the top of the list is my daughter's school schedule. I can't seem to find a date that will be suitable for her and for me.  If only I can show you what my daughter's calendar of activities is like.  This reminds me I should ask my friend R who have just given birth when I can see her, I bought an organic gift set for her baby too.  These days you can never be too careful when it comes to baby things.  They are the most fragile people on the planet so mommies should always choose the ones that are safe for them.

Almost There

I am in my 34th week this week and I am looking forward to the visit to the doctor once again. The routine when I get there is simple. You only have to wait for two things. The first thing is the routine check of your vitals, so that includes blood monitor, weight, etc. I have already noticed that they have different blood pressure monitors. They have already gotten rid of the one that has mercury on it because it is no longer allowed but the blood pressure cuffs are still there. The second thing you have to wait for is the one where the doctor checks you and the baby. I always look forward to it because I get to hear my daughter's heartbeat. I was not able to buy a doppler monitoring device. I was kind of hesitant from getting it from Ebay because I do not know if the one that I will get works. So it is such a hassle if I have to return it and get a refund. If only I knew that Southeastern Medical Supply Inc exists back in February, I would have gotten it from them. They are a reputable medical supplier when it comes to their products plus there are special savings and discounts. Actually, they already sell their medical equipment at factory prices so that alone will be able to save you lots of money.

A Heartwarming Moment

There was a time when my husband got really mad at our daughter for something that she did. My daughter felt guilty about it and asked me if we can buy her dad a gift after school. Since I plan to buy more stuff for the baby I told her we can.  So off we went to the mall after school to buy the baby stuff first and then she asked me if she could buy clay because she wanted to make flowers. But after shopping for the baby I told her I was getting pretty tired and we can only make one more stop. She had to choose between buying a gift for her dad or going to the toy store to buy something for herself.  Do you know what she chose? She chose to buy a gift for her dad instead. It was heartwarming.  She even chose and bought the wrapper and gift wrapped it. She did not ask help from me.  She hid it from her dad so when he got home, she yelled "SURPRISE!", gave her gift and hugged her dad.   The gift had notes on it and everything.

Check out the pics

Situations like these make you feel like the richest person in the world. Although, at that time, I was about to tell my hubby how it was a wise investment to buy gold bullion. But I did not want to ruin it for my daughter so I let the moment linger and when we were back to our normal state, that's when I told him about this golden opportunity and he agreed especially since he thinks how every opportunity should be taken advantage of.  He was really in a good mood when I told him about it. Children can do that to you. I think I could have asked for anything and he would have given it.

In Disarray

My daughter's sleeping schedule is in disarray. She sleeps in the afternoon and because of that she no longer sleeps early at night. Just like tonight, she slept at around 11 pm. She is usually asleep by 8:30 pm. Waking her up will be a challenging task  once again. Although, I am that way too. I find it hard to sleep at night but I find it even harder to wake up to the time when I am supposed to wake up. So even if  I let her play at the nearest play place for more than an hour, she did not want to sleep early. Anyways, I do not have the heart to not let her sleep in the afternoon because I can see that she is already sleepy. Plus she is a little bit cranky if she does not sleep in the afternoon. So good luck to me. Hehehe!

A Rare Opportunity

I have been given a chance to reconcile with my past. I grabbed the opportunity to put the past behind me and all of its issues and just move forward. It is rare to be given a chance like that.  I thought I will never be able to do that but I was able to. We all have hurt somebody in the past right? Even if we wanted to or not. We all have been hurt by somebody too.  Sometimes we carry this hurt all throughout these years and hide it inside. All I am saying is that, in my case, I have been given a chance to heal. This opportunity is rare just like finding gold coins.  So when you are able, buy and invest in it. Do so because the opportunity does not come often. In the past, so many have killed just to have them. Nowadays, you do not have to do that, you just have to buy them.

Random Thoughts At 2 AM

I have been procrastinating again. Blame it on the internet connection because it has been wonky for the past couple of days. Thus, all the things that I needed to get done are not done which is the reason why I am awake at this hour. Although, I have been sleeping for the past few hours so do not worry about me. Just in case you are, because I have been resting especially when I can. Anyways, since I can no longer rely on the net especially during the day, I plan to compare internet service within the week so we can get the best service out there especially since we are a paying customer. Do not get me wrong, I am not complaining. This might be because of the storm that happened a week ago.  Some households do not have electricity up to this day. Others do not have water. Thus,  I am grateful that we have all of these.

Do you know that I am on my 33rd week this week? Yeah, the end of my pregnancy term is almost here. So I am quite excited about  it but am having a hard time sleeping especially since the baby is super active inside the tummy.  So even if I want to sleep I can't because she wakes me up when she is awake. My sleepless nights have already started. Although, I can't wait to hold her.

On another note, my youngest sister already left for Indonesia for a project. She will be away for 2 months. I do not know if she will be here in time for the arrival of my baby. She requested that I give birth on September.  Let us just see because I want to give birth the soonest possible time. She left this afternoon and I felt kind of sad when she waved goodbye because she is and will always be my baby sister and baby sisters do not leave.  Hehehe!  It is a good thing that my daughter number 1 looks like her so all I got to do is look at my daughter to see my sister. She is her "mini-me" after all. I hope that my baby number 2 will be MY "mini me". Hehehe!

Invitation To Fellowship Day

We already got our invitation for this Saturday. It is a cute popsicle invitation.  It will be our first ever family day (school-related).  I am not supposed to attend, I figured it would be better if it will be just daddy and daughter bonding day since I will not be able to do much.  But my daughter made me promise that I go.  Oh well, if it is important to my daughter that I go, then I will go.  So come Saturday, we will be coming in orange because that is my daughter's class color for this event. Hehehe!

Perfect Score

Yesterday, I got a reply note from the teacher that the */40 (star over forty) means my daughter got a perfect score. So I was really happy because she worked so hard for it and her hard work paid off. In fact, I was so happy that she could have asked for anything, including a national parks tours and I would have given it to her yesterday. Hehehe! Anyways, we just went to the mall and she picked out a toy that she wanted, just one, for the perfect score that she received. It was not anything fancy nor expensive.

So anyways, when we got home, we finished the movie that we were watching the other night but was not able to finish because it was getting late already and my daughter had to wake up really early. The movie was Karate Kid. It was really a great movie. One that would inspire you.  In fact, it inspired me so much that I wanted to avail one of those china tours. The movie showed how modernized China already is but it was still able to keep its history.  My daughter was so inspired that she wants to take up taekwando lessons or kung fu lessons. I told her she can do that in replacement of her gymnastics lessons.

Anyways, since I want to go on a tour, I checked out collettevacations.com and clicked on asia tours to see what else is there. I found out that the Collette Vacations has tours and tour packages all over the world including canada tours. I soooo want to go back to Canada with my family so they will be able to see the beauty of the place.

Saturday 9: Love Hurts

1. Tell us about the last time that you got hurt in the arena of love.  Love as in romantic love? Well, it has been a long time.. more than a decade probably.

2. Have you ever been part of the wedding party, other than your own? Yes

3. Let's say you find yourself in Hell after you die. Think about everyone you've known in your life. Who would be the one person that would least likely to surprise you by being in Hell with you?  Hmmm. tough question.. so does that mean that one person exchanged heaven for hell to be with me?   Hehehe! Secret!

4. What brings you good luck? My daughter

5. Do you have a photo blog? If so, feel free to share the link with us! No. I do not have a photo blog. I have a flicker account. Does that count?

6. What is your biggest source of news? (Internet? Newspaper? Television? Radio? The Daily Show? Other?)  Internet

7. What's the hottest you've ever been in your life? Probably during the time when I had a 23 inch waist line. Those were the days.

8. If you had to choose a theme song for your blog, which would would you choose and why?  I can't think of any right now. I will probably think about this question the whole day and answer it later.

9. Who was the last person you had an online conversation with that you've never met or talked to on your phone? An egroup member who asked me something about my blog.

A True Find

It was a busy weekend for us. So many things are happening all at once that we are usually so tired at the end of the day which is the reason for my lack of updates every weekend. That is why I reserve my shopping days during the weekdays when the malls have fewer people. This way I can pick out the things that I like without so many distractions. Plus, I tire more easily if the place is crowded. So last week, I was able to buy a couple of maternity day clothes and night clothes for me. This is long overdue because I haven't been shopping for myself lately. So anyways, since I was carrying a lot of bags I had trouble looking for shoes. In fact, we had to go home afterwards because I already got tired which was a bummer since I was looking forward to buying new pairs of shoes too.

This brought me to surfing online for websites that sell quality but Cheap Shoes. Having another kid really puts things in perspective especially when it comes to expenses so I have to be wiser when it comes to my spending and not everything can be spur of the moment purchases. So anyways, I was able to find a site that sells all kinds of shoes that you can possibly think of: pumps, sandals, flats, wedges and even designer shoes all for under $10. This site is indeed a treasure especially for moms like me whose purchases are always on a budget. Hehehe.

Nothing More

I thought it will be extra hard to put our daughter to bed since she took her nap fro 4  pm  to 9 pm.  The last time she slept this long for her afternoon nap, she was still in toddler school.  Surprisingly, after she did her worksheets, she got milk and her blanket, she went right to bed.  I took her temperature just to see whether she is okay and she is. I am just wondering why she seemed to want to sleep all of the time now.   Oh well, she must be just tired from school.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Online Games

Yeah when I have the time I play my computer games so I can relax. It helps me release the tension or the stress that I feel inside. It is not just me who feels this way about computer games. My sister-in-law told me that she met an old lady who also feels the same way about her games but her games are slightly older than what I play. Even if I do not know nor have I even met her, I feel we are kindred spirits because we feel exactly the same way about our games. In fact I will gladly forego shopping or mall trips especially if I have a downloaded game that I especially like.  The last game that I was able to finish all level in all modes of challenge is Hotel Dash Suite Success. I have one game left in my computer which I am trying to finish. Actually, I only have two challenges left so as early as now I know I am already going to miss it. Plus the site where I get my games is already closed and no longer working which is kind of frustrating.    I do not know exactly what is going on or why it closed shop.

Just like my problem over this site, people find it hard to find a legit casino.  Plus, not all kinds of games have willing players to play with them. I heard that it is quite difficult to find casinos that accept us players. I wonder why this is so since you can always go to www.casinos.org for a list of sites of casinos for us players and the like. So finding one to play at is easy. Plus going to that site will not be a waste of time since all of the sites indicated  which specifically mentions casinos accepting us players are all working. Don't you just hate it when the url you are trying to click is no longer working?   I really hate that when it happens. For those who love online casinos, you got it lucky because you have a site, www.casinos.org, to help you out.

On A Strict Diet

The visit to the doctor today was not a good one for me.  She told me that she is happy that I only gained 3 pounds for the past 2 weeks.  However, she is not happy with the total weight gain ever since I had gotten pregnant.  I was instructed not to gain any more weight. Is that even possible?   She even appointed my daughter as my food police.  I swear I will no longer drink anymore fruit juices and the like and just drink water. But I cannot quit cold turkey on the other stuff especially since my daughter's birthday is coming up. Yikes!

I was so unhappy that I bought another chocolate mini cake at Mary Grace before we went home.  Hehehe!

On Improvising

Traffic was extra horrible today. As scheduled, we went to my doctor for my check-up.  I did not want to because of the typhoon but I had to. Anyways,  the traffic was horrible in the afternoon. I guess I should blame it on the rain.  My daughter had to pee but we were smack in the middle of this major highway and I can't just turn left or right because the cars were not moving. We had to improvise. It was a good thing that my daughter was cooperative.  Good thing I bought Mary Grace chocolate cake because I was able to use the plastic that went with it. Hehhehehe! After that my daughter went straight to sleep while I entertained myself by looking at the Custom Labels used for the different billboard ads displayed on this specific major highway. I promised myself that we should always bring the potty training toilet that she was not able to use much when she was younger. At least, whenever she has to go we can just pull it out of the trunk.

Thinking about it now, I wonder how much each Custom Label costs.  I must admit that making use of it works especially since a lot of motorists had nothing else to do but to read the labels and the signs of all these ads.  Even my daughter started reading the words on them before she went to sleep.

Classes Cancelled Today

My daughter does not have classes today due to Typhoon Signal No. 1. I am not even aware that there is a storm. Hehehe! So we did what we usually do during the weekday which was to wake up early, prepare for school and bring my daughter to school.  Actually, I thought that we were going to be late again. Much to our surprise, we were 10 minutes early.  So anyways, good thing I did not leave immediately.  So I waited for all the prep students to be picked up at cluster 4 which is where you should leave your kid if your child is a preschool student so the teacher aides will be the ones to bring them to their respective classrooms. Parents are no longer allowed to do that.  I knew something was up when all the teachers met together with the other personnel and seemed to wait for the phone to ring.  When it did, they started to call the students one by one (students whose parents were there and that's when I asked what was up). One of the teacher aides told me that classes for preschool have been canceled today because of the typhoon and so we went home but we stopped by McDonald's first for breakfast. Hehehe!

That is why my lesson for today is I should listen to the AM radio or at the very least watch the morning show as soon as I wake up so I know if there is a storm signal.

My Sentiments

I always look forward to sight seeing whenever I have to bring my daughter to school and fetch her afterwards.  Aside from nature, I always see trucks with loads of things on them.  It seems that families are always on the move. I have always wondered how they are able to fit everything inside a small truck. Although, you can see piles and piles of things on top of the vehicle itself. However, I am afraid that a sharp curve will cause the vehicle to topple over and all the things will scatter on the road side.   I wonder why they don't just use a Moving Company. It is so much easier and safer not only for their things but for the other motorists as well. I do not want our car to be there when it happens or be in the middle of a traffic jam because of it.   One of these days I will try to take a picture of it.

Can I also just say that I will miss bringing my daughter to and from school? I will! Even if I get so stressed out sometimes. I always look forward to our time together inside the car when she tells me non-stop about all the stuff that she did in school. When she gets home, she seems to be preoccupied with all these other things that she needs to do that she does not tell her school stories much.   I hope that she does not have too much fun during that one month when she will be riding a school bus together with the other preschool students. This is only while I recuperate.  I would love to go back to being her driver and nanny.

It Is Going To Be A Special Week For Us

The weekend is almost over  which is the reason why I hate Mondays. Hehehe! Although, this week I have a couple of things I have been looking forward to. My check-up on Tuesday and my daughter's birthday on Thursday.  Since it is a school day (and a work day) I know that the family will not be complete on my daughter's birthday which is the reason why I am thinking of several ways on making it extra special for her. I just hope that hubby cooperates. Hehehe!

Beauty Treatments

Yesterday my daughter had a foot spa.  Today I gave her a hot oil treatment. She just loves these beauty treatments. I do not know what she will ask of me in the future probably lessons on how to apply make-up. It could create a problem because I honestly do not know how and I never bothered to learn.  Before I never saw the point in learning, if there is a special occasion I just go to the salon to have my make-up done. But these days, when you see some of the big kids go to school, you can detect they have make-up on. So I know I better teach her how to put make-up on herself because it is going to be really expensive if she has to go to the salon each and every single time she needs to have make-up.  Although, I still have time to think about it since she is still a kid but I better save up for it now especially if  I want to learn from the best such as the Jacksonville Cosmetology School. Who knows my daughter might want us to learn together when the time comes?  Anything for my daughter. :D

Saturday 9: Go Your Own Way

1. When was the last time you were told to go your own way? I do not recall anybody telling me that.

2. What one experience has strengthened your character the most so far?  Having a child.. i knew when I saw my baby that I will have to forget myself and put her needs before me.

3. What's your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?  cuddle with my daughter

4. How long can you go without your cell phone?  I can go a long time without my cellphone especially if my husband and daughter are with me.

5. Do you wish you were somewhere else right now? Yes.

6. Of all the people you've ever known, who have you most feared?  There was this officemate of mine who terrorized me when I was still a probationary employee. I haven't recovered from that. I was actually happy when she retired.

7. Do people tell you that you look your age? No.

8. Your ex shows up randomly at your house, what do you say? Hi. How are you?

9. Do you believe everyone deserves a second chance? Yes definitely.

House Hunting

A friend of mine who is getting married a year from now asked for my help to look at different houses and house plans. Her excitement made me excited. After all, this is the start of their new life together. They are going to concentrate more on the marriage rather than on the wedding so they will have a simple wedding with only a hundred guests or maybe even less. The house is different though. I think my friend has grand plans for it. This is the reason why I directed her to HousePlansandMore.com. She did not know that such a site existed. She went crazy looking at all the different house plans. My friend thinks they will stay in this house they are going to have built for many years, which is the reason why she is meticulous when it comes to picking out the house floor plans. I saw one house plan and I was impressed. Lucky her! Her fiance can not be with her at this time, even if he wanted to be, as he is working overseas. This is also one of the reasons why they are able to afford a home so early on in their marriage. As her fiance is not with her, my friend emailed him a link to the houseplansandmore website so he could see some of her favorite floor plans. Of course whatever plans she picks will have to meet with his approval, but my friend is confident she can find something they will both like. I believe she is right because my friend has such great taste and this website has so many choices, there is sure to be something there to please them both.

Happy

The reason why I haven't been blogging much lately is because of my daughter's load when it comes to her school work. I just could not believe how heavy it is especially for a prep level student.  On thursday and friday, she will already be having her first Unit Test. You would not believe the scope that she was given to study.  It is no wonder that I do not hear any negative feedback from the students, graduates, etc of the school. They do not have time to do anything else! They are kept busy with their school work.  In fact, I could not even fit her gymnastics lessons in her schedule anymore. So gymnastics will have to take a back seat for awhile.  Maybe if her load lightens up (after a few months) or I can see that she is coping really well, that is the time when I will enroll her again.

Anyways, even with the school work load, she is loving every minute of it.  I can see the difference in behavior from last year to this year. This year even if she wakes up early (at around 5:30 am), she is always excited to go to school as compared to last school year where she was stressed out every day because she did not want to go to school. Last year she had problems with bullies. This year I do not think bullies are even a problem because they are handled right away by the teacher. Whenever I fetch her from school, I always see her playing with her classmates and she is always in smiles and she is always laughing and greeting all the classmates that she meets on our way to our car.  Basta I am happy that she is happy and that is all that matters even if we had to let go of a  few of our lakwatsas and activities. Hehehe!

Yey!

Perfect Timing

Don't you just love perfect timing? I do. It helps me stop questioning life and demanding for things that I want in an instant.  It also helps me develop my patience. I used to be very impatient. I have very low EQ.  So anyways, my daughter's yaya arrived today straight from the province. The last time she had a yaya was a few months ago. Actually, the last nanny that was worth remembering was the time when I was placed on bed rest for two weeks.  She only stayed for two weeks during the time when I was not allowed to move. So I was really grateful even for the assistance even if my daughter did not really like her.  She was there for a reason and that was to help me cope with my situation even for a little while. So when the two weeks were over, she was gone too.  It was like she was just given to me to help me for those two weeks. Of course, she had other reasons why she left (like her husband).

Now, my daughter has one and I think it is because of the fact that I will be giving birth a few weeks from now. So my daughter needs somebody to take care of her while I can't.  See... such perfect timing right?  Who would have thought that I will be getting one at the moment when I need one? I just hope that they will get along just fine.

Aside from my daughter's nanny which seemed to come out of the blue, it is also the right time to buy gold coins. Do you want to know why this is so?  Just do your research on it's global demand and you will see that it may break new records over the coming years.  Plus the fact that it has always been the safest mode of investment because it's value does not depreciates.    Gold has always been there in the past and it will be there in the future. I am sure of it.
