Lucky Mommy
Aargh even if the sun isn't out, it is still so hot. I hope that it will rain this afternoon. I can no longer bear the heat. I took a nap while my daughter is busy but the heat woke me up. Although, I woke up to a daughter who is so well-behaved that she decided to surprise me by fixing her things. I actually ruined the surprise because she wasn't finished yet. What a lucky mommy I am.
Taking A Break
.. while my daughter is busy.
Whew! Just got back, I finished all the things that I was supposed to do today outside the home and this includes sending the template of my daughter's name tag to hubby. All I need to do now is to label all of my daughter's school things which I can do later. I am so thankful that my daughter is not difficult to take care of. She would always find things to do to keep herself occupied. Right now, she is counting the coins inside the canister. We have lots and lots of 5 centavo coins inside a canister so that would take her awhile to finish. This gives me a chance to breathe a little while I prepare myself for the rest of things that I need to finish today and that includes looking for reputable places to buy gold coins. They are a good investment. If you haven't considered thinking about investing in gold, well you should think about it because it is a worthwhile investment. It is not like those schemes which turn out to be scams. With gold you are assured that you will be able to get the desired returns in the future.

Rushing Today
I have a little time to spare while my daughter is taking a bath. Today is going to be a busy day for me as I have lots of errands to do. I hope that it's not too hot to do them. First of all, I have to go to my daughter's school to pay for the parent's orientation thing this saturday. I also have to talk to the person-in-charge if we can be excused after lunch because we have to be somewhere by 2 pm. I blogged about this in my other blog. Hehehe! Anyways, I hope that she will allow us to leave. Second of all, I have to go to the bank to get money and pay my bill. I forgot about it last week. I hope they do not charge me with late charge fees. Hehehe! Lastly, I would have to go to the mall to buy my daughter her undershirts, handkerchiefs, etc for school. School starts next week. It is a little earlier for them, 1 week earlier than the rest so they will be able to familiarize themselves with the school surroundings.
At home, I should be able to label all her folders, notebooks, books, do her nametag so hubbby will be able to have it laminated. I should have given it to him this morning but I forgot to do it last night. I should also order bagtags for my daughter's bags too. The only kiosk I know where they reside is at Megamall, I do not know if I will be able to go there this week. There are just too many things happening this week. Hay!
These are just some of the things that I remember. Talk about rush!

An Impromptu Barbecue Party
I am having a really lazy Sunday. We woke up really late because we all slept late because of an impromptu barbecue party last night. My daughter woke up really cranky because she is not used to sleeping late anymore (even if she woke up late). Anyways, one of the topic that we had last night was how to help my eldest sister out and we thought of different alternative careers for her. I sort of made a suggestion that maybe she should try out different lines of work. I actually told her that before in one of our text exchanges. I do not know if I even mentioned Florida Cosmetology School but it is a really good option for her. Make-up artists and hair stylists make a lot of money especially if they are really good at what they do. Going to Regency Beauty Institute makes sure of that. Plus they are so cool with how they dress and how they wear their hair. I am also thinking of trying to become one myself.
There are a lot of different careers for men and women out there, we only have to think out of the box sometimes.

Random Thoughts
Random Thoughts on a Friday Night
- I am so glad that it rained tonight at least it will be a little cooler but I am still perspiring even with the a/c on.
- Conflict of schedule is what I have and I do not know how to fix it. Hay! Talk about scheduling everything in one day. Good luck to me!
- The sides of my tummy hurt. I can't sit down for a certain period of time. I can't wait to give birth!
- We have Pangasinan mangoes. Do you know how yummy it is?
- I am addicted to the game, Kitchen Brigade. Jolt, you should try it!
- I think my baby girl thinks that her name is the same one as her ate's. She kicks whenever I call her sister. We even did an experiment this afternoon. My daughter and I kept on calling her using my daughter's nickname and she kicked every time.
- Thank you God for the blessings that you always shower my way.

Watching It Live
My hubby has been watching the NBA finals closely. <> I am not a basketball fanatic but I understand why guys and even some of the girls like it. One of my husband's dream is to be able to watch the game live. I have been to Staples Center but I did not get to go inside. We just passed by and my aunt pointed it out. If it were my husband I am sure he would not let go of the chance to have his picture taken.
So anyways if we already have the budget for it ( I hope in the very near future), I know where to get tickets to games that he would like to watch live. I could get him Super Bowl Tickets or tickets to a Giant Stadium or even tickets to the Texas Stadium because that is how easy it is to get tickets at ticketamerica.com. You can get tickets at any game you want to watch live and at any venue you want.

Sick Hubby
I am a nursing a sick husband. He went home after lunch yesterday because he was no longer feeling well and he is on leave today. He has an eye infection and he seems to have the flu. I do not know if he caught it from me since I was sick a couple of weeks ago or maybe he caught it last Sunday because he went for a night swim.
Do you know that it is harder to take care of a sick husband than that of a sick child? Haha! Just an observation. Good thing that he does not get sick often. I just hope that he gets well really soon because I am also not used to him being sick.
Anyways, I have to leave him for awhile because my daughter has to go to her gymnastics class at 2 pm. Today is such a busy day for me. A sick hubby to take care of, a child who has boundless energy (and endless summer classes to go to) and a big tummy with baby inside to nurture. Hehehe! So toodles everyone and stay safe.

How Soon Can I Drive?
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.
I am still searching for answers as to how soon can I drive after I have given birth via caesarian section. You want to know why? It is because of my daughter. Nobody is going to fetch her from school. Although, we have several options already such as getting the services of a school bus (who already contacted me about our interest in their services) or asking one of my siblings to do that for me for one month. I am hoping I will be able to drive after a month. But I do not know yet since my doctor hasn't given her go-signal yet. So anyways, I am hoping that NMEDA has dealers that cater to people who are unable to drive themselves in this part of the world. They have dealers that sell vehicles that were already modified specifically for disabled people which I will be, a couple of months after I have given birth. I know how delicate my stitches are going to be and I know I need to take care of that so I will be able to recover faster. This will really help me a lot. They might have a seat that I can use for driving that will help me recover faster or will not place me in any danger because of my fresh stitches. They can bring me back to the road of independence. I checked it out and inputted my zip code but it does not cater to my area yet. This is a great organization because it promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people. Do you know that they only have dealers that passed the QAP or Quality Assurance Program? This means that they are consistent when it comes to providing good service and they are serious when it comes to giving quality products and services.
Check it out and see if they cater to your area. If they do, please do tell me so I can make arrangements. Who knows? They might make an exception for me.

Met By Chance
It was nice to see my friend Ruth again. We met last night by chance as I saw her about to ride the escalator with her husband. I usually hide from friends and acquaintances but I just could not resist not seeing her and talking to her even for just a little while. I just wanted to check how she is doing. Well, she is doing fine. In fact, she and her hubby were about to watch the movie Shrek. She looked really good too. Motherhood or rather her pregnancy suits her. They looked really happy. She will give birth on July and I know that she and her hubby will be good parents to their little girl. I hope that my little girl and her little girl will get to know each other and become friends just like we are to each other.
So anyways, advance congratulations Ford and Ruth!

Cooling Off In The Midst Of The Summer Heat
Summer is still on and we can't do anything about the weather. It is still hot.. hotter than last month even. I know because I can feel the heat more because of my pregnancy. I am sure that because it is still hot there isn't much difference when it comes to our electricity consumption. I am sure that we still use our airconditioning units, our electric fans and other cooling devices. I am sure that we wish we could turn it on longer so we can sleep longer (I sure do!).
Since we can't do anything about the weather, we can do something about making our homes cooler without paying more. We can choose to use geothermal systems. There is this company called GeOasis that offers energy efficient geothermal cooling systems to Arizona. Too bad they do not offer it here. Actually, I know of a couple of homeowners who have already made the switch to use more energy efficient appliances from light bulbs to aircons. I just hope that they get to offer their geothermal air conditioning units here. Tropical countries feel the heat most of the year. So I am sure a lot of people will cater to it. Meanwhile, I guess we just have to bear the heat and pray that this heatwave will end real soon.

History Of Car Insurance
The concept of insuring a car came from the idea that driving a car on public roads is a privilege, not a right, and drivers should make sure innocent bystanders are not injured, or, if they are, they should be provided compensation.
The concept can be traced back even further, when the Chinese used to insure their ships against piracy and other mishap. Car insurance is a follow through of that ancient Chinese concept of marine insurance.
The first car insurance was taken out in Great Britain in 1895, long before the popularity of the motor vehicle. The first American car insurance was provided to a New York doctor named Martin, and the year was 1898, precisely ten years before the general introduction of the motor vehicle in the US, in 1908.
It took 30 more years for car insurance to begin to be mandatory in the US. The first law that made having car insurance mandatory was passed in Massachusetts in 1927. The law made it compulsory for car owners to have a minimum of third party insurance on their cars. Soon, other states followed suit, and having a car insurance became universally compulsory.
The concepts of comprehensive and collision coverage took time to develop. As more and more insurance companies were established, people started giving more thought to the principles of car insurance.
Today, every American state requires a car owner to have car insurance. In fact, most countries in the world do so. With the development of modern ideas, the concept of securing proper care for injured third parties has become firmly established. This is also why it is a crime to drive away from the site of an accident after having injured someone.

Beginning Poker Tip: Use the Note System
If you've decided to get into playing poker, one of the places that you're likely to train yourself is online. Whether that's at Caesars Online, Poker Stars, Full Tilt, or one of the many other sites available for this, you will usually have the same basic setup. The differences in software are mostly aesthetic, and the functions remain the same, including one often underused function: the note taking system.
When you're playing against other players in a casino, you will have to observe them carefully so that you can place appropriate bets, but the notes you take in this scenario will have to be in your head. Online, you have a distinct advantage. You can take notes on each player, to which you can then refer as you play. This isn't some archaic system that requires you to pull up a notebook on your computer. Rather, it's integrated fully into tables, including displays that allow you to quickly pull up and reference these notes.
This is especially important considering how difficult accurate reads can be in online poker. Without the opportunity to see physical tells, examine an individual's persona, or tell when they are generally nervous, you will want to use every advantage you can get. The note system will allow you to do this readily. Use every aspect of it. There will sometimes be a color manifest that allows you to label others quickly as "hot players," "slow players," "wild players," "tight players," and so on. The more quickly you can see and recall the observations that you've made, the greater your advantage over your opponents will be.
These notes also stay in your system long term, so if you run into the same players again in the future, you will be able to look at the same notes and quickly decipher their style of play.

Things Left Undone
Summer is almost over and school is about to start. This reminds me I have to ask the school where my daughter will study if the car sticker for school year 2010-2011 is already available. The section of my daughter will be given to her on the first day of school. A couple of moms already expressed that they want their respective daughters to have the same section as my daughter. I do not know if they can request it though. Ack! This reminds me I also have to make a nametag for her. How it looks like and what it should indicate were already given to me. The name tag should also include the fetcher's name. Can you just imagine how big the name tag is going to be (especially with my daughter's full name)? The official ID which actually looks like a badge will be given later on. I wonder if I should buy her a badge holder or will the school provide one for each student to ensure that the ID will not get lost. Kids can be careless sometimes. But during the first week the students will use the laminated name tags made by the parents. I also have to label all her things and cover her books with a plastic book cover. I also have to order bag tags for her bag and her lunch bag so her bags will not get lost. Ugh! I still have lots of things to do!!
The orientation for the parents of new students will be on the 5th of June. I do not know if we will be able to attend though. I think that is also the same date as the culminating activity of my daughter's gymnastics class. By the way, school starts on the 7th. Their schedule is actually way ahead of the others (1 week ahead). This gives them more time to adjust to the school. The school administration is already foreseeing crying and clinging kids. I hope that my daughter will not cry though. She knows that we will be waiting for her. I am not worried though because I see how excited she is for school to start. She is always checking her bag and her lunch bag and all the contents inside.

Gymnastics Lessons
My daughter attended her first gymnastics lessons yesterday. Aside from getting the exercise that we want her to have, her schedule is pretty full now. She will be pretty much occupied everyday for the next couple of weeks until school starts which is what we want because she gets antsy when she has nothing to do. You should have seen her, she was really happy yesterday. She was laughing and giggling and chatting with the other kids. The coach was really jolly which helped because he made the kids comfortable.
This is one of the videos taken yesterday.
She even wanted to go straight home after her lessons because she wanted to practice and up until this moment she is still doing her routines. She even woke up early to show her dad what she learned yesterday. You could say that we made the right choice because we let her choose what she wanted to learn this summer. The lesson is to let your kids choose what they want to learn when it comes to extra-curricular activities so they will have fun and learn at the same time. So we are looking forward to another day of learning. She has another gymnastics lesson scheduled at 2:00 pm today.

The Better Choice
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Nexx Online. All opinions are 100% mine.
I should check if my other blog is up for it's renewal. I usually rely on emails sent if I am due for payment. I pay around 90 dollars (give or take) per year. The reason why I am suddenly interested in it is because I found a better choice. They offer Unlimited Web Hosting and I only need to pay $10 for it. Just imagine I get the domain name and the web hosting services. Usually, I would have to pay separate for both. I am pretty much excited over what Nexx web hosting program is offering now. This is just a special promotion so all of those who are thinking of getting a paid domain for your blog (website), then you better check it out. You will never get a better deal than this. Aside from what was already mentioned above, if I get ahold of this special promo, I will also be getting unlimited diskspace (which is important), unlimited bandwidth, unlimited email and 24/7 customer support (this is also important for me because I live in a different time zone). The control panel which is usually the problem of first-time users is very easy to use. It actually has a one click installation feature which is great for me because I am not techie. The easier it is, the better it is for me.Plus, they also offer a money back guarantee if I am not satisfied with the service.
So yeah, you could say that I am definitely thinking of getting this special promo offered for the first year by Nexx. I will probably make a new blog just so I could avail it. The problem is what should it be about. Do you have any suggestions?

Saturday 9: Hey Jealousy
1. When was the last time that you got jealous? Just recently, although I did not tell anybody or show anyone that I was jealous. I just kept it to myself.
2. At what point do you finally decide it's time to move forward with your life (like, major changes)? How do you know? What do you do? I am a planner you see so when I move forward it just means that I have planned for it for a couple of months (or even years already). When things are not going the way I want it to or when I feel that it's time to move on with my life the way I envisioned it to be. Take note that I plan for it and I do not always act irrationally.
3. When is it time to just let it ('it' can be whatever you choose) go? How do you know? What do you do? When there is misery...when you are not happy anymore. I just know. Maybe because I am a piscean so I am naturally sensitive or intuitive when it comes to these things. I just let go.
4. How many times must someone push your buttons before you've just had enough? Why? It does not take much to push my buttons but I usually give a second and third chance. The problem is after the 3rd chance, my blood is already boiling so you better watch out.
5. If I S/O were to cheat on you, could you ever see yourself giving them a second chance? Or a third? I don't think I will.
6. What was the last thing that someone did that you were very grateful for? I guess my husband's understanding. I am super sensitive and somewhat irrational these past couple of days.
7. How much time do you spend online in a given weekday? What about the weekends? I am always online even if my laptop is not on because my phone's always is. So I always check out what's happening online using my phone.
8. How many online journals/blogs do you read regularly? What are some of your favorites and why? I regularly read around 5 blogs. They have fascinating lives.
9. What was the last major purchase that you made? My daughter's shoes although I did not pay for it. Hehehe!

Need Help
As a woman who has been married almost 7 years, my husband and I have been through a lot. We would not have survived without help from our support system. For a relationship to work, no matter how much you love each other, you will need help eventually. It could be marriage counseling services or family counseling or even individual counseling. Surprisingly, there are couples who want to show the world that their marriage is okay but they are on the verge of a marriage breakdown. They are the ones who eventually break up. So get help from Gregory S. Smith & Associates when you need it or even when you feel that you don't. It is such a relief to air out your side or to hear the side of your husband or wife. It really helps.
I know there are a lot of people there that do not think much about getting counseling even from a reputable source such as counseling greenville sc, I do not see why not. Everything that will be discussed are confidential. Plus the counselors, psychologists and even psychiatrists who will handle your case are all professionals. Check out counselors greenville sc if you do not believe me. The greenville sc counselor knows what they are doing and you and your family will be in good hands, I can assure you. Do not hesitate we all have our issues (married or not) and it is about time that we should just let these issues go. We owe it to ourselves and the ones that we love.

Done
I did my part as a citizen of my country. Although, I was given priority because I was pregnant and I was with my mom who is a senior citizen. So instead of waiting 5 hours, I waited for less than an hour to vote. My sisters who went there before me are still there now waiting for their turn. Just like what you probably saw in the news already, the lines were long and they are still long. It will probably get worse because there are more voters in the afternoon. All I can say is just exercise your right to vote even if it's inconvenient and hot. Do you know that a presidentiable is buying votes in Butuan? He is giving out money, medicines, etc. I received an SMS telling me that she already received 500 pesos. Grrrrr.
It looks ugly right and I can't get it off but that's proof that I did what I could for my country, my family and myself.
Oh and bring water, a chair (stool), fan and any gadget that will help pass the time.

Who Is The Most Qualified?
Who is the most qualified to lead this nation of ours? Well, we should base it on facts and the facts say....
I found this at the comments section of chuvaness' blog and this is the matrix that I have been looking for, for the past few weeks. Anyways, we only have a few days left so people you only have a few days left to ponder about who gets to lead us the next couple of years. Let us all get down on our knees and pray because we do need somebody who can lead out of this mess that we are in. Last but not the least please pray before you vote so you will be guided as to whom you should vote for.
Sana after the elections, we become peace loving again. Elections bring out the worst in us. If you come to think about it, we are all hoping for one thing even if we are vying for different candidates. :)
PEACE!

- Curly ::hair
- Saga : Twilight Series!
- Different :: is good, never conform.
Appreciating Mothers
I will be having another check-up on Friday. I should remember to tell the doctor about my knee pains today. It was so painful that I could barely walk. Maybe my doctor will be able to prescribe a medicine that I could take whenever it happens again.
Anyways, since mother's day is a few days away and not to mention my sister's birthday, it is time to think of gifts to give especially to my mom who has always been there for me ever since. I wonder where I could get fast cash so I could get her something nice. Something that she will appreciate and love. I hope that every mom out there will be able to feel the love that their family has for them. The hardest role that I ever took on is this. You never have a day-off, from the moment that you conceive up until the moment that you die and even after perhaps. However, it is all worth it each and every time my daughter smiles at me and tells me how much she loves me and how she has the best mom in the world. She does that every once in a while.
I should not forget to bring my doctor a little something too. She is a mom too.

Slammed
I am all for Gordon and BF. My mom and my sister are too. My other sister is for Noynoy - BF. We had a very entertaining discussion about the the reasons why we are voting for them. I just hope my dad was there and my other sisters too. In fact, we exchanged notes about who are the most viable candidates for the senate. I guess Atty. Adel Tamano and Miriam Santiago are on top of our list.
Since I haven't found the matrix where all the qualifications of all the candidates are listed, let me just share this with you. I snatched this from Saab's blog.

Just In Case
Elections are just a week away and it is kind of nerve racking how everything seems to be in disarray especially the PCOS machines that will be used on Monday. You can somehow foresee that there is a big chance that the elections on Monday will be declared as one big failure which is what the present government seems to want. They had all the time in the world to test these machines but everything is so last minute. In the end, I just hope that there will be minimal casualties and whoever will be declared as the winner will do something about our present situation.
Since we can't really tell what will happen on Monday and the days after that, I guess we should save our fluid assets just in case we will need it. You better get a cash loan right now while there is still time. Besides you do not have to use it if there is no need to. What's important is you have available cash.

Saturday 9: Changes
1. Tell us about one thing that you'd change about yourself if you could. I am a people pleaser so I would like to change that if I could. I would also like to be thinner.
2. Mattel decides to make a Barbie-like (or Ken-like) doll of you -- what would be the most important accessory or accessories they would absolutely have to package you with in order to portray your lifestyle? A laptop. Hehehe!
3. Hey, do you like surprises? If yes, what kinds? Yes, good ones!
4. What was the last snail mail that you received that was significant? my bill. Hehehe!
5. If you could pick out a brand new nickname for yourself, what would you choose and why? Probably cher taken from my first given name.
6. John Edward's mistress was on Oprah this past Thursday. She stated that no third person can break up a marriage, so it had to be broken before the two started doing the nasty. Do you buy that? yes, for an outsider to break up a marriage, the couple would have to be emotionally apart already.
7. Do you think it is okay to keep secrets from your s/o? Yes.
8. Have you ever played Truth or Dare? If yes, what's the weirdest dare that you did? It was too long ago. I could barely remember.
9. What, in hindsight, the stupidest thing that you have ever done? I misplaced and eventually lost my passbook.

Sparkles And Hachi
My daughter is happy because her lola jet has a new puppy. The puppy looks like Barbie's puppy in the movie, "The Diamond Castle". In the movie, the puppy's name is Sparkles which is apt because of the sparkly eyes. While the new puppy's name is Hachi. Don't ask me why because I do not know. They look so much alike. Anyways, I need not concern myself with dog bites or anything like that because he is only 3 months old. Although to tell you honestly, I was initially concerned about dog bites and things like that. But not too concerned that I had to contact an Austin dog bite lawyer. He is such a sweet puppy after all. My daughter loves him though and wants to ask her grandmom for it. I doubt if she would allow it. Plus, I am not capable of taking care of a puppy with my daughter and another baby coming along. My hands are full! To tell you honestly, I had a dog once and it died on me and to this day, I haven't fully recovered from it. So I tend to emotionally detach myself from dogs, birds and rabbits. Anyways, because he is only 3 months old and my daughter played with him non-stop, he had to be confined in a veterinary hospital overnight. As per the vet doctor, he was stressed out from all the playing. I guess he was not used to that but he is now because he is back and is super active.
Just to show you how it looks like, check out the picture. Sparkles is the dog that has brown ears with large eyes.
