Clash Of The Titans In 3D

Last weekend we were able to watch a 3D movie at Sta. Lucia. We watched Clash of the Titans.  I thought my daughter wouldn't love it but I was wrong. She loved every part maybe because it was in 3D.  I loved it too. It's embarrassing to admit but it was the first time that I was able to watch a movie in 3D.  Hehehe! So the whole time my daughter and I were saying our ooohs and aaaahs. We just loved it!  My husband wasn't moving much.  We had to shake him a couple of times to check if he was still watching. Lol!  Maybe because he was feeling the movie. I knew he loved it too.  After the movie, I told my hubby we can't go back to 2D. He just laughed at us and didn't say another word. Let us see if he will agree to watching Iron Man in 3D.  Ha ha!

So to commemorate the occasion, we just had to take pictures. Hehee!

Need To Earn More

Kids do not know what it takes. They just take for granted the luxuries that we give them.  I guess I was the same when I was a kid.  Right now, I am trying to teach my kid that she should be grateful for every little that we can afford.  Since she is already 5 (already turning 6 a couple of months from now) my husband and I are teaching her that we can't give her everything that she wants.  We accommodate her only during the times when she has done an excellent job and if we have the budget for it.  Otherwise, she would have to wait for it or work hard for it such as having good grades. In this way, I hope that she will be able to value it more.  As for us, we would have to spend our resources more wisely since another one is coming along.  Of course, we want to give our 2nd child everything that we have given our first child.  So aside from spending more wisely, we  need to earn more aggressively. Thus, the need to buy gold bullion just because it is a wise investment.  My grandfather was able to teach me that.

A Long Drive

My husband is planning a road trip some time in May. I do not know if it will push through though with his schedule and the fact that he does not like long drives.  As for me I am quite excited because it will be the first time that we will visit his dad's home town. Anyways, we will just wait and see.

Friday Fill-Ins

I have a number of things that I need to do today which is the reason why I am starting out early.  I am hoping I will be able to finish at least some of them so my daughter and I could go to the park later this afternoon, that is if she feels like it (and if it does not rain). Anyways, here goes...

1. I was worried about the puppy this morning.
2. We went to the mall yesterday and I left my book inside the car.
3. Why bother with it.
4. She was in my thoughts today.
5. One of my father's favorite sayings was I don't think he has one.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spending time with the daughter as my hubby will be coming in super late (he already told me), tomorrow my plans include checking out the results  and Sunday, I want to celebrate if the results are good!

What A Surprise

Do you know that I was awarded as one of the best 25 writers for the month of March based on feedback? Hehehehe!  To think I was not even writing that much! I even have a badge to prove it but I won't show it. I am humble that way. Hehehe! It just came as a surprise to me because I was not expecting it. I do not even consider myself as a writer...  far from it if you ask me.

Anyways, there is no cash prize involved, it's just one of those news that you do not expect to hear or read about. Although, it would have been so much better if I get a bonus because of it. Haha haha!

Practicing The Secret For Our Future

We have so many plans for the family. Right now, aside from planning and saving up for our dream car. We are also hoping that we can save up for our dream home. In order to make our plans a reality I need to make use of "the secret", so as early as now we are currently looking at different home plans.  You all know the secret right? It is when you do not only visualize what you are dreaming of but you keep pictures of it. So we have looked at different homes already and haven chosen the kinds that we want. Yes, we have chosen among a few kinds.  There is this modern home that we really like and perfect for our little family. That is why I am currently on the look out for modern house plans.  There is this country home that we also like and I have already on file log home plans just in case we get to build one for ourselves. It is important that you have a refuge in the country or maybe sell the one that we have in the city and just retire in the country. You never can tell what's going to happen in the future right? But one thing for sure, we will have our dream home.

Rooting For The Transformers

Who are you going to vote for come elections? Me, I am going to vote for Gordon for President and Bayani for VP.  Why? because of their track record. They are the only ones who were able to change  improve the places that they handled. You should have seen Marikina before and after it was handled by BF.  AS for Gordon, he was able to change Subic just like Bayani did.  Can you just imagine the changes that will happen if we are handled by these two?  A lot is going to happen (it could be in terms of infrastructure,discipline, tourism etc.) as compared to people who are not going to do anything because they are too scared to do so or they do not know the first thing how they are going to do it or they are just too lazy or too old to do anything about the issues that we have right now.

Another thing that I like about them is the fact that Gordon and BF are not scared of anybody.  They are able to do what should be done.  There will be changes.  There will be improvement.  I agree with what Loren Legarda said when she said that we should vote for somebody who already has a track record and I believe that the front runners for the positions for pres and vice president are Gordon and BF especially when it comes to history and track record.    They have the brains and they definitely have the brawn.

I actually saw the matrix that compared all their skills, history, etc. ... I am still looking for it. I saw it a couple of months back posted on somebody's site. It clearly shows who is the most qualified.   Hopefully, I will be able to find it before elections.  It deserves to be reposted.

What You Use Matters

It is so hot. Even if it's already 7:30 in the evening, it is still so hot. I heard that it rained hard somewhere in Davao. Lucky them.  My daughter and I no longer go out especially if we can avoid it.  Do you know that we use 1 aircon and 2 electric fans at night?  1 electric fan is pointed at me alone.  It is so hard to be pregnant during the summer.  The heat experienced is doubled for us pregnant women.

Anyways, I know I am not the only one suffering, a lot of us are experiencing this. It does not help that electricity prices have gone up.  That is why people have been complaining about it.  You can no longer turn on the air con even if you want to. Suggestions as to how they could lower the cost of electricity without sacrificing comfort came up. One of them is changing the type of air conditioners used. You can do that by changing your old air conditioning unit to ductless air conditioners.  I found this site called gt-world.com and it discusses how efficient split air conditioners are especially because of its split inverter heat pumps.  These days that is the only way to go.  There was this member of the e-group that claimed that her electricity bill went down from Php20K to Php13K because they were able to change their air con units.  And that's the best form of advertising, the true-to-life testimonials of people who already used the product.

My Talent

I received a text message this evening. It was from my niece. She said that I should watch out for her at Myx (channel) because there is a chance that she will be featured there. She was one of those that were included in the segment, "my talent". It is one of the summer programs that were included. Sadly, I was not able to see her.  Her friend however was able to see her. So I am on the look-out for the video tomorrow. I know someone out there will upload it on the world wide web. If I get to catch it, I will embed the video here. Hehehe!

How To Cope

Somebody who is very close to me now is on bed rest. Do you know that being on bed rest can be tiring? In fact, when I was also placed on bed rest arrest, those 2 weeks were the longest two weeks of my life. This was the reason why I got hooked on several FB games. You would see me being online several times during the day and even a couple of times during the wee hours of the morning. There was even a time when I checked out online Casino games. You could not blame me I was really bored out of my mind. These games of mine kept my mind off the time, the stress and my condition.They helped me recover and that's the truth! I just hope that this person gets through with the 2nd bed rest arrest.  She needs to. This is one of the things that you will never regret doing.  She just needs to get through the 1st trimester. It will get easier I promise! As a person who has gone through with it recently, I know what I am talking about.  Play with your games. Your laptop can be placed on your bedside table so you do not have to stand up or sit down while playing. You can lie down and let your hands do the clicking.  Take your mind off work, be stress free and happy.

All of us in the family wants to visit and see her but we do not want her to stress her out by going to her home. She needs to keep her feet off the ground for another week. Do not worry everything will be alright.  Cyber hugs to you especially if you are reading this. Do you know that I heard my daughter praying for you this afternoon?  She was! Even if it was just a short prayer. She knows how delicate your condition is. So stay safe and we will see you when you are able.

Wishing For Her Two Front Teeth

My daughter wishes for her two front teeth. Yeah, you got that right. She wishes that it would come out before school starts.  We had her two front silver teeth removed last Monday.  Since her permanent tooth is already coming out (based on the x-ray), her dentist decided to remove it.  The process was simple and it only took a short time. However, I was afraid that the entire procedure would traumatize her. I was praying the whole time. The great thing about it was she did not feel a thing. However, there is a great difference to how she talks now with the lisp and with her smile. When you take her picture, she smiles with her lips closed. She looks more like a baby now which makes me happy.  So my husband and I baby her all the time even if she sometimes protests. Although most of the time she is happy with the "babying".

New Car Delivered

My husband told me before he left for work this morning that his officemate's new vehicle will be delivered today.  This officemate of his who used to be my officemate when I was still working sold everything when they went to New Zealand. They sold their house, cars and even their family business.  Surprisingly, they did not stay long and eventually decided that they will just stay here for good which is the reason why he bought a gmc canyon  which made my husband drool. He has always wanted to have a vehicle just like that.  Anyways, I know that my husband wants to buy another car too which is the reason why he keeps on checking out the reviews of the different cars that he likes. I saw him checking out a lexus ls 600h. What can I say? I like it very much.  Although, if it was just me driving  I would prefer a smaller car such as a  Fiat 500.  Parking has always been a problem for me and I can easily fit it into any parking space. Hehehe!  But since we are a growing family, I also prefer a bigger vehicle.  It's what we need after all.  Our needs top our wants now and we definitely need it. So yeah, we need a canyon and good thing that it is also what we want. Hehehe!

Friday Fill-Ins

Today is a friday and I have a lot of things that I need to catch up on. Before I make several batches of articles for my Australian boss, let me take a breather and just answer this meme.

Mud Pie At Racks

What have we been doing the whole summer? We have been eating.  We are always on a food trip especially if I get one of my cravings.  There was this time at the beginning of this month when I craved for baby back ribs.  So we went to Racks Restaurant at St. Francis Square just to eat those yummy ribs.  My daughter though is not a meat lover. Thus, she ate fish and chips and had mud pie with vanilla ice cream after.  The mud pie was really delicious.  It tasted like one of those lava cakes.  Hay! Super yummy!

Honeymoon After 7 Years At Breezes Resorts?

To be honest, my hubby and I haven't been to any "real honeymoon" yet. When we got married, we had to go back to work immediately after a few days off so we decided to have our honeymoon on a later date. But then, after 2 months, we found out that we were pregnant,so it got delayed and delayed and later on forgotten. I am sure my husband does not even think about it anymore. I am sure, however, that he would love to go away even for just a weekend as I would, just the two of us. Anyway, after my daughter was born, our getaways became a family vacation. How could we leave our daughter behind? I would sincerely love it if we could go to Runaway Bay Jamaica or Negril Jamaica, even for a couple of days. This is to reward ourselves for a job well done over the past few years. Plus, it could be a great way for us to reconnect especially since a friend of ours has just been to one of the Breezes Resorts as part of their honeymoon. My friend had just gotten married to her best friend. So anyway, she was telling me about there all inclusive vacation packages that also offers an early booking bonus. A couple can save up to $770 for a 8-day/7-night. What a way to save and have fun at the same time right? I have never been to Jamaica and I am sure my husband hasn't either. On Coping

I am sure my friend is my very depressed now. She has just lost a baby and even if mine was a miscarriage several years back, I can empathize with her. I am sure she is feeling a lot worse. Who wouldn't?  I just hope that she gets back on her feet really soon so she would not feel the loss so much.  Meanwhile, since she went through an operation (emergency c-section).  I know she can't go out. Thus, she will stay at home for several weeks until her wounds (internal and external heals). So she has to entertain herself and one of the ways by which she can do that is through online gambling. I know she is not into it just like me. But when it hurts deep inside you have to look for new things to do so that time passes by really quickly.  She should probably start out with the slot machines. There are tips on how to play especially if she gets confused.  Although, I know her she could get by without it. Anyways, this is just a suggestion for her so she would not think about the baby all the time.

This is also the reason why I am taking extra care of myself and the baby now.  When I have errands to do, I make sure that I go straight home.   You can never be too careful. It is just too scary how things turn out sometimes.

Plans For The Future

Now that I am already halfway there, I am currently in my 5th month, I am thinking of ways on how to augment my shopping income. I have to shop for two people now you know. I am deciding on whether I should continue with my online job for my Aussie employer or this thing that I am currently brewing which pays less but it adds to my savings or maybe I should take up a couple of courses and go back to work.

No, I am not going back to the corporate world. It pays less with maximum hours rendered. It is soo not worth it. With 2 kids in tow, how am I going to spend time with the both of them?  It is more in the lines of teaching a pre-school (maximum of 4 hours at school) or becoming a beauty artist.  The latter pays so much especially if you are good at what you do and you get special gigs such at weddings, debuts, etc.  We pay so much for a person to make us beautiful so why not learn it and let others pay you. But the crucial part of all of this is you should learn the techniques and styles from a great school such as the Cosmetology school in Louisiana. I wonder if we have one like that here.    I heard that the graduates from that school are sought after all throughout the USA. 

Boy Or Girl?

Well, next week we will definitely know if the baby that  I am carrying is a boy or a girl.  That is if the baby cooperates.  So right now we still do not have any idea what the gender is.  Although, we are really hoping that the baby is a boy. People tell me that it probably is.  Yeah, I know I am fat and ugly. So it's ok because I really want a boy. In fact, I do not want to have my picture taken these days. I swear I will lose this weight once I give birth. Breastfeeding will help with this endeavor. Hehehe.

The reason for this post is we  (meaning my daughter and I) already have a name for the baby if it's a boy. We are going to name him bieber. If you do not know me personally, family and super close friends call me by my nickname "babie".  I was searching for a name for the past months and I could not find any that feels right. I went through a lot of lists if you must know.  When I saw the name Justin Bieber, I knew then (and now) that I want my baby's first name to be bieber. It is so close to my name. I love it and my daughter loves it! Although, she also wants to include Justin's first name too. Hehehehe!  Back then, I did not know who Justin Bieber was I just knew that he was somewhat famous. Well, I started looking out for him. I did not know that he was really, really famous especially to the younger generation.  He is not Justin Timberlake gwapo. But he is kinda cute and he dances really well. He sings so well too. He has a lot of haters so you might hear a lot of not so nice things about him but I don't care. Hehehe.

Anyways, as of today.. his name is still Bieber (even if my husband is vehemently protesting).  He might agree if I agree to include his name too.  Hehehhe! I know he will win out in the end because he will be the one asked what the baby's name is when I give birth.  Besides, let me just say again that I do not know yet if the baby is a boy or a girl. So as of today that is still his name.

FYI. I also did a little research on the name and the name bieber means a hard worker (just like mommy and daddy). Hehehe.

My sister Jula already loves it that we are naming him bieber. Hahaha! Panalo diba?!?! So if the baby is a boy, then it's meant to be. Lol!
