I did my part as a citizen of my country. Although, I was given priority because I was pregnant and I was with my mom who is a senior citizen. So instead of waiting 5 hours, I waited for less than an hour to vote. My sisters who went there before me are still there now waiting for their turn. Just like what you probably saw in the news already, the lines were long and they are still long. It will probably get worse because there are more voters in the afternoon. All I can say is just exercise your right to vote even if it's inconvenient and hot. Do you know that a presidentiable is buying votes in Butuan? He is giving out money, medicines, etc. I received an SMS telling me that she already received 500 pesos. Grrrrr.
It looks ugly right and I can't get it off but that's proof that I did what I could for my country, my family and myself.
Oh and bring water, a chair (stool), fan and any gadget that will help pass the time.
