Happy New Year Guys! We have like less than an hour before we say goodbye to year 2009 and say hello to 2010! There are so many things that will happen for the new year and I can already feel it! ***(insert smile here)*** I wish all of you (including me) continuous blessings for next year and I hope that all of us will be able to pass all the challenges bestowed on us with flying colors.
Cheers!

Saturday 9: Sam's Last Strand of 2009
1. What did you think of 2009? It was ok. I had some low moments but I also had more high moments. It was a year that we were given challenges to deal with for both my husband and myself. My daughter also had her share of problems with the bullying at school.
2. What do you think was the news story of the year? The news story of the year for me was the Ampatuan Massacre. I don't think that name will ever be associated to anything else which is great really because they deserve it. Future generations should know what they did and how cruel and greedy they were for power.
3. What happened this year that you never want to hear another word about? I don't want to hear another word about PGMA. That is why I no longer watch the news.
4. What was your favorite song of 2009? For me, it's The Best of Both Worlds because this song will always remind me of my daughter singing and performing in front of a lot of people and she did it so well.
5. What did you accomplish this year? I lost weight. Hehehe Kahit na konti nalang. Honestly speaking, it is so hard to lose weight.
6. Did you learn anything new this year? I learned a lot of new songs this year. Hehehe.
7. What are you looking forward to in the new year? I am looking forward to experiencing new things with my daughter and my husband.
8. What are your plans for New Year's Eve? To eat and be merry and watch a lot of fireworks.
9. What's the best thing you ever did on a New Year's Eve? Forget the past.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas Everyone! Sorry, haven't had the chance to greet you all before this but I had THE MOST perfect excuse for not being able to do so, my laptop broke down! Yes! It is true! I do not have any virus. I do not have any bad sectors. I do not really know why it broke down. Anyways, since my husband is an expert in these matters, he was able to fix it. So I guess my plea for a new one is not going to materialize any time soon. Speaking of which, I saw my niece's gift from her parents! I could not believe it! She has her own mini HP laptop and she is only 11 years old. She will turn 12 next month. It is not just any laptop but a fashionable one! It is white, small and compact and it has these swirly designs! Basta it's soooo cool! Plus she has this cool and fashionable laptop bag that goes very well with it.
It looks like this.
Nice noh?
She totally deserves it. She has excellent grades. She is also excelling in all her extra curricular activities. She was even featured in the Total Mag girl twice! She is not only a good ate to her brother but to my daughter as well. She is such a responsible young lady so I guess I am not really surprised that she was given one by her parents! My sister wishes that her attitude and how she is now stays that way until she grows up. I sure hope so too!
Anyways, I hope that your Christmas was as fine as my niece's was! Hehehe. As for me, I had my share of great gifts too. Thank you generous people! Hehehe. But mostly, I had fun even it was tiring. You see we had to go to and fro my parents' house to my in-law's house on the eve of Christmas.
So Merry Christmas Everyone even if it's a little belated for some of you.

Pay-Per-Bid Online Auction Site
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.
I know that some of you are already done with your Christmas shopping. I haven't though and we will go out in a little while to shop for my husband's gift. Yes, he is the only one whose left that I haven't bought a gift for. The most special person is the hardest person to give a gift to. Agree?
Aside from Christmas, I am also looking forward to the end of this year. It has been quite a roller coaster. It was not really a good year for me relationship-wise as I have had major issues with some of the people who are close to me especially during the 1st and 2nd half of the year. But money-making venture wise, I was A-ok even with the global economy thing. I hope it would be even better this year, in all aspects. Hehehe! One thing that always worked for me in terms of online ventures is my willingness to think out of the box. Right now, I am checking out Bidazzled. It is a pay-per-bid online auction thing. This was just launched last November so it is quite new. You can save up to 90% on any name brand merchandise that you bid on. Aside from the savings, you will also be able to help a charity because the money that they will make will fund a charity. So for example, you bid on a laptop. The price can increase by only a few cents so if you bid for the laptop at a dollar and ends at a dollar, then you have a laptop that only cost you one dollar!
Isn't that just great? I know you are getting excited as much as I am with this online auction thing. Do check it out! I just hope that you will not bid on the same items that I will be bidding on. Hehehe.

Friday Fill-Ins
1. No, we will NOT go to the mall today.I am just too tired.
2. Food is at the old kitchen table because renovation is going on.
3. I watched the steam rising from the hot cup of coffee (or tea) and thought: my tongue is going to get burned.
4. I somehow know that at the end of it all, it is going to be okay.
5. I'll take my word for it.
6. Take a peak even for just for awhile at least from my point of view.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing the reviews (oh so help me God), tomorrow my plans include attending the practice I guess and Sunday, I want to rest but I guess it is not yet possible because of the Christmas party at the church! I hope that those who were able to buy tickets from me will win something!

Best Wishes D!
I was listing down on a small piece of paper those people on my list that we haven't bought any gifts for yet when I suddenly remembered my good friend's cousin, D. (I will go Christmas shopping for gifts again later after my daughter's classes.) I do not know why. I know she is getting married this month or probably early next year. It is such a warm feeling to know that everybody is ending up with someone. As the song says, "There are two less lonely people in the world...” Hehhehehe. R used to tell me so many things about her specifically in terms of her love life or lack thereof. They were the closest amongst the cousins. She is such a good kid. She is the breadwinner of the family ever since and I know for a fact that she is blessed when it comes to financial blessings even from way back. This is probably because she was such a good student, an honor student in college and a good daughter. If you do not know what kind of work she has, she is an auditor and a CPA. In fact, she has worked for several prestigious companies and was assigned to several big projects. Maybe she may even find herself working at a Las Vegas CPA firm even if she gets married. Who knows where the road will lead her? I would actually recommend it for her especially if it’s KondlerCPA because it is a respected firm when it comes to providing financial solutions to all kind of industries. You know you are in good hands because their track record speaks well of them.
So anyways, good luck D and best wishes!

Cars Are Still In The Car Repair Shop
Ever since the typhoon Ondoy, many car owners have surrendered their respective vehicles to the car shop for repairs. In fact, my sister who just recently bought her car was totally submerged in water during the typhoon. It has been in the car shop for 4 months already and still counting. The problem why it has been taking so long is because there are no car parts and car accessories available anywhere. Since so many car owners were affected, so many cars needed total overhaul and the car repair shops did not anticipate this. In fact, one of the nearby car shops still have a lot of cars, SUVs and others lined up for repairs. The vehicles still have mud on them. So can you just imagine the status of the engine and it's upholstery? Yaiks! Maybe these car repair shop owners should look into ordering elsewhere such as carid.com for the much needed car parts (including the computer box) and accessories. These people have waited so long already and they suffered too much. Just imagine if their cars were wrecked what more their homes?
Good thing the Filipinos in general are jolly people so you can still see most of them smiling and trying their best to make this Christmas season a good one.

Connect The Dots
Before I begin with my work, I still have 2 articles left to do and a thousand reviews (exag! hehe) I just want to say that I was really pissed off today before we left for my youngest nephew's birthday celebration at Don Henricos. I know I am not the neatest person in the whole wide world but I know my things and I know what I have and I know where they are. So when I look for them I expect to find them. Thus, it really pisses me off when I can't find them.
Suffice to say that I was so pissed off when I could not find the things that I was looking for. Good thing, the maid was able to find them when we left and she showed them to me when we arrived. Plus other items that she also found together with the things that I was looking for. Items that I haven't looked for yet but eventually will when I do an inventory of all my things. It just puzzles me when she told me where she found them.. As in how did it get there? Hala!

Does Anybody Want An iTunes Gift?
Yeah, time is running out and I still haven't resumed my Christmas shopping. Actually, I did last week but it was for the Christmas class party of my daughter that will happen on Thursday. I wonder where I will be able to get the time to shop. My weekends are fully booked already. So that leaves the weekdays but I still have so many things to do.Plus, the traffic is really horrible.
This is why I am seriously considering shopping online. I do not have to deal with the line queues, the traffic, the other people who are also rushing. This is the time when it gets really stressful. That is why I think that it is definitely easier to shop online these days. Does anybody want an iTunes Online Gift? Just holler I can give them to you. It can be easily redeemed at iTunes Store. It has the largest online collection of music, movies, TV shows, audio books and others.
If you have a facebook account, you can easily check it out as it has its iTunes Fan Page. Pretty neat huh? We can send this out to each other if you want. Hehehe.

Sunday Stealing: The 6 Ws Meme
Who...
Is easy to love? Our children.. in my case, my child.
Do you just wanna smack? Sometimes
Do you trust? Yes
Do you talk to when you're alone? Sometimes when I am thinking. I want to say it out loud.
What...
Dangerous things do you do while driving? I text sometimes when I am driving
Are you allergic to? I am not allergic to anything.
Is Satan's last name? Hmmm. don't know. Satan is his nickname. Wasn't he an angel that was sent down to hell because of pride.. so probably pride?!?!?! Angel something Pride?
Is the freakiest thing in your house?... tough one. I don't know. probably a fake skull. I do not know if it still exists though. Must have been washed out away by the flood.
When...
Is it time to turn over a new leaf? when you have realized that you have done something wrong
Will you be all that you can be? i don't know.. sometimes i get too shy.
Is enough enough? ... hahaha! like right now!
Do you go to the dark side? I guess sometimes when I am really.. really.. REALLY mad.. grrrrr!
Where...
Are your pants? inside my closet
Is your last will and testament? don't have one. Thanks for reminding me. I should make one.
Is your junk food stash? inside a container
Is Carmen Sandiego? Last time I checked, Texas. hahaha! I used to play that game.
Why...
Was the Lone Ranger alone? because he wanted to be alone. Although, technically he wasn't alone because he had his horse.
Was The Scarlet Letter scarlet? Was it really scarlet? It was called as such because of the blood and the mystery that came with it right?
Are musicians sexy and plumbers not? Are they? For me, it depends on the person. But generally no...most musicians are geeky. hahaahah!
Are there no seat belts on school buses? So the kids can go down faster. I do not really know but I think authorities should look into that.
Would you...
Swim the English Channel for a doughnut and coffee? If not that, what? Nope. I do not like coffee. ... probably chocolates or salvation.
Forgive someone who deliberately hurt you? Haaaay! i guess.. eventually... eventually.
Rather believe a lie if it hurt you less than the truth? No, I would rather know the TRUTH especially since I will know about it eventually.
You still be alive if you were sucked out of an airplane window? Nope.

You still be alive if you were sucked out of an airplane window? Nope.
Saturday 9: Don't Talk To Strangers
1. Tell us about a night that you spent with someone who was a stranger, yet by the end of the night you were very close. Hasn't happened yet.
2. When is the last time you rode the bus? Last summer at Singapore
3. Describe the last time you stood up for a cause. Just recently.
4. What is something you would like to do, but you're afraid of the risk(s)? Right now I really feel like shouting at my sleeping hubby but I am afraid that it will wake my daughter up.
5. What would you most like to accomplish before the year is over? Nothing I suppose.
6. Name something you'll miss about 2009. Probably the fact that I am always younger the year before. So that's what I'll miss.
7. If you could invent something, what would it be? The cure for cancer I suppose
8. What first got you started blogging? I wanted to release my pent-up emotions and feeligs that are bottled up inside.
9. How did you find this meme? I was looking for a meme to answer and I found it written in one of the blogs that I visit.

No More Problems With This Blog
Early this morning, actually around 4 am, I checked out my blogs and I found out that this blog is being redirected to a blank white page. I thought I was hacked! What I did was contacted google about it and was redirected to a forum where it was not only me but a couple of a few others who were also experiencing the same thing. Anyways, I slept without finding the solution yet but I was not bothered. If all else fails, I can always import my entries to another url. Hehehe.
This morning, I checked out the forum again and they were able to find the solution. If you are experiencing the same thing as what I have experienced, your blog being redirected to a blank white page, well check out your html lay-out and remove the paying post html script. That's all that it takes. Now, you can see that my blog is working just fine.
I hope that it also works out for you.

Sunday Stealing: The Can't Sleep Meme
How very apt since I haven't been sleeping well the past few weeks. I get to sleep around 2-3 hours at the most each night. So I feel like a walking zombie during the day. Hehehehe.
Would it be hard to kiss the last person you kissed? No. The last person I kissed was my husband.
When is it hard to kiss someone? When you are mad at that person or when you don't feel like it.
You're trapped in a room with your most recent ex for three days, what do you do? I don't know probably talk about the past.
Does it matter to you if your significant other smokes? No it does not matter to me.
Have you ever regretted letting someone go? Yes before. It was a long time ago.
Where would you go if you were butt naked and locked out of your house? I will probably hide behind a bush or a car and find a piece of something (anything) to cover my nakedness or I will try to find an open window.
Do you want to please everyone? Before yes. Now, I do not think and act like that anymore or I try my hardest not to.
Have you ever been called heartless? Not yet.
Someone calls you at 3:00 AM, who do you expect it to be? A prankster.
Does it matter if your significant other drinks? No.
Could you go the rest of your life without doing drugs? Yes of course.
Which is better, amazing eyes or an amazing smile? amazing eyes
Do you want to get married and have children one day? I am already married and I have a daughter.
Are you easy to get along with? Most often than not.
Do you ever want to go to sleep and not wake up? Nope, although there were times when I did not want to get out of bed.
Are you shorter than your Mom? Yes.
Describe your life currently in one word: Fulfilling
Are you on medication for anything? Nope
Who would you allow to read your thoughts for one day? Hmmm.. I don't think I will allow anybody to read my thoughts for one FULL day. Gosh! There are some things better left unsaid or unshared.
Are there things in your life that you will never be able to get over? Yes.
If you woke up naked next to the last person you kissed, what would your reaction be? pleased.. I am sure he would be too. haha!

Saturday 9: Joy To The World
1. What to you is the most joyous aspect of the holidays? Making other people happy with the gifts that you will give them.. This is the holiday where most people are selfless as they are thinking more of others rather than of themselves.
2. Do you get much snow where you live? If yes, do you enjoy winter sports like skiing or would you rather stay in by the cozy fire? Sadly, no.
3. Have you ever been on a sleigh ride or a carriage ride? Do you even like horses? Sleigh ride, not yet. Carriage ride, a couple of times already. Yes, I like horses.
4. During the busy week, what do you do to relax? I sleep, I watch movies, I play my downloaded games.
5. Do you get stressed during the holidays? Yes
6. What holiday song could you happily never hear again? Last Christmas
7. How do you decide on what present you pick for a person? I base it on the person's needs and the person's wants.
8. What does this holiday season mean to you and why? This holiday clearly shows how much God loves us because He gave us Jesus (John 3:16).
9. What holiday movies best describe the season for you and why? How The Grinch Stole Christmas - because it may seem that we are concerned with the commercial aspect of the season but the truth is it is all about being selfless and making the people whom you love happy and the fact that Christmas will still come whether we have problems or not. It teaches us that nobody can really steal Christmas because it is not really about the gifts but the people whom we love.

Still Trying To Lose Weight
I am so hungry! The only thing that I ate for dinner was noodle soup. Yes, I am still trying to lose weight. I know I need to sacrifice a lot of things so I can get the desired body weight that I want and one of them is eating rice during dinner. Of course, I want to look good wearing the gown made just for me.
This just reminded me of a friend who starved herself every day until her wedding date. She succeeded because she looked good and she was able to fit into the gown that was 2 inches smaller as per her instructions. I do not blame her. The location of her wedding was very romantic. It may even be a travel destination for some. For my friend it was her dream wedding. She wanted to have one of the destination weddings that are gaining popularity day-by-day and in a way she succeeded. Although, I know if she was given a choice and the budget for it, she would have chosen one of the Karisma Hotels over at Riviera Maya..

Boring!
It's official. I am bored with PBB. That's what they get for doing what they do. They think they will spark the interest of more viewers but what they did was made it less interesting. At least for me. So I am bored with it. And what's up with the voting system? They are out to get more money from it's viewers. Do not spend a dime on the show and just use your hard earned money to buy nice gifts for your love ones.
So no more online streaming for me. Plus some of the chat rooms are turning out to be really nasty. Can you spell y-a-w-n?

The Tongue Is Stronger Than A Sword
I am havin' a really, really bad day! It is so bad that I drove like a crazy mad woman on a rampage out on the streets today. I usually detach myself from domestic issues. It is definitely not my cup of tea. I do not like to get mad especially not to the household help. Hay! But I can no longer ignore it anymore especially if the maid is chismosa!
Ewan. But ever since I was the target of a malicious rumor spread by a couple of officemates of mine a few years back about my husband now, my friend then and myself. I shied away from people simply because I could not handle gossip. I do not like to defend myself especially if I have done nothing wrong. I knew who I was and I knew what happened and I felt that I did not owe any explanation to the world. Hellers! Di kaya ako artista! Wahahahahaha! When the mouths started talking, romel and I kept to ourselves and a few close friends. I think I only trusted Ruth and Gail back then. Hirap na so many people were judging. The rumors were not only false but they were hurtful and malicious. I was recently enlightened and I know now that my friend back then was also a victim. He told me, just lately, his side of the story. But back then I thought he was the one who started the rumors. See, this is a perfect example of how rumors can ruin a friendship! I remember my motto after that was TRUST NO ONE because he was not only close to me but I considered him as one of my best friends and I told him some (if not all) of my secrets. But back then I thought he betrayed my trust because of the rumors that were spreading. It was painful because I thought there was betrayal but I guess I should also be thankful because that was the time when my hubby (my friend at that time) and I became close.
Ganyan ako ever since I was small. You will not see me defending my side to my parents simply because they should know deep inside that I will never do that. It got me into so much trouble before especially with the fights with my eldest sister. She would always start these fights not only with me but with my younger sisters as well. I fought back because as an older sister I felt I had to protect them and myself but I always get scolded at or reprimanded because I would not defend myself to my parents. They never heard my side. It would have been simpler if if I did that but I did not. Hehehe. Ewan.. feeling ko kasi if they really knew me at all, they would not have to ask me. So if they asked me, I would get mad. So they would get mad at me because I was mad. Hehehe. Tigas ulo din ako eh. Although, there were times when my dad took my side even if he did not say anything. He would just pat me on the head or he was just here and not say anything. He would not even ask me about what happened and just be there and that comforted me a lot. He was not judgemental and he always seemed to know when I am right or when I am the one at fault. I never (not once) received a spanking from him.
Anyways, that was the scenario when I was growing up. That was the reason why I always kept to myself. I would prefer to be on my own than deal with the issues. Of course, I always have my roommate and sister to help me process these issues but in general I always kept to myself and a few close friends and a few of my sisters. So now, I do not really tell anybody what my issues are when it comes to parenting especially not my issues as a wife. It's hard sometimes not to tell anybody what my problems are but I guess it also helps that I get to process it on my own and there are not too many people talking. Too many words are subject for misinterpretation and there are just too many ears and they always seem to multiply and the tongues never stop wagging. So when I am the target of a malicious tongue, I can no longer control my ire especially if it comes from a household help. Hellers! So yeah, I blew my top this morning! What was her intention anyways?
I am a firm believer that people can work problems out for themselves and they can build and rebuild relationships if they were given a chance by not having too many people around them yakking about it. Too many relationships (friendships, marriages, etc) are destroyed because of rumors. Too many great relationships should have been built but did not because they were pre-empted by negative feedback. Think about that. Words are supposed to build friendships and not ruin them. Words are supposed to encourage and not discourage people. Yun lang po. *bow*
