Cheska's Version Of The Best Of Both Worlds

Last Saturday was definitely a (s)milestone moment for my daughter. I was and still is so very proud of what she did. She was the youngest contestant who tried out. The contest was open to girls from 5 to 12 years old. When I registered her she was only 4 and I told the lady that my daughter did not qualify because of the age requirement but then she asked me when she will turn 5 and I said on the 15th. The lady said that she did qualify since the contest was on the 26th.

Anyways to cut the long story short, my daughter wanted to do it and that was what pushed me to register her. Up to the very last minute, I asked her if she wanted to just go home because I did. I was nervous! But my daughter wanted to sing and dance and as a mom I let her. But boy I was at the brink of a major heart attack. Hahahaahahaha!

Anyways, to show you what happened, check out the video of my wonder child. I could not believe she was able to finish the whole song. There were some kids who were older than her who were not able to sing the whole song but she did. So yey for her!

Good job ches! We are all very proud of you.

It's All About Knowing Your Options

Money sure do make the world go around. It is not the end all and be all of one's existence. It should not be but you should have some to make life a little more comfortable. You would not be able to enjoy life if you did not have any. That is why if you have some, you should invest it so it will multiply.

However, before you invest you should be able to study and learn everything about it before you decide which kind is for you. The best people who will be able to help you learn the different investing options that you have is Power Options. They will be able to give you an idea on the highest return option trades. So in the end, you will be able to make an informed decision, a decision that will give you the highest returns possible.

Yellow Cab

Just got back from yellow cab. I really love their half-baked potato thingies and the chicken barbecue pizza. My husband and I crave for the two items all the time. I love it now more than Shakey's. In fact, I no longer crave for mojos because of yellow cab's half-baked potato.

Check out the picture I took of the two things I crave for at least once a week.

Cheska and Micki

Check out these two pretty girls. Hehehe . Our daughter and my hubby's niece together and laughing at something. I have no idea why they were laughing at this time but I guess it was pretty funny.
Time flies so fast. Do you know the first time I met my hubby's niece she was only 4 years old. Look at her now, almost a teen.

The Perfect Place

Our wedding anniversary will come in a couple of months from now. I hope that we will be able to go out of town. Although, I seriously doubt it since my husband is so busy at work. But who knows? Nothing is impossible. So I am crossing my fingers and wishing really hard for a family vacation.

If I were to dream, I would go to Riviera Maya. It is the ultimate place to have fun. You can be alone with your partner and go to an adults only resort or opt to choose one of the more suitable places for people that have kids. I have heard so much about it. A friend of mine who recently had gotten married went there for their honeymoon. They chose one of the Karisma Hotels. She could not stop raving about it. In fact, she wants to go back and do the whole honeymoon bout thing all over again. Maybe I should recommend this to my sister who is also getting married early next year. She and her fiance loves to travel too. I am sure they will enjoy it there.

Much Summer Lovin'

Last summer, my mom doled out a couple of new tops for my daughter. I took pictures of them but haven't had the chance to blog about them. Aside from the tops, she also gave my daughter a baby alive doll. Back then, we would bring it wherever we would go. Kakalurkey.

I am actually quite hesitant in feeding it solids because I do not want it to be all dirty inside. I feel it would clog up or something. Although, I already bought it new packets of food. Hehehe. Someday soon, I would have to brave the mess and let my daughter feed her baby alive doll. Who knows I may be able to videotape it too.

These are just some of the tops that she received and of course her baby alive doll. :)

Informal Or Formal Piano Lessons

I envy my daughter's energy. She has lots and she is really ripe for learning. After doing all her assignments and worksheets, she still wants to learn how to play the piano. I am still quite hesitant on this one since I feel she might tire herself out. But who am I stop her. In fact, I am trying to teach her how to play the piano. I guess she is quite ahead of me because I am still teaching her where the C key is or Do but she is already playing Mary had a little lamb. I can hear her now laughing her heart out and playing the piano at the same time.

Alas! I wish I have her energy.

Accessories Check!

We bought my daughter costume jewelry for her to wear on her performance on Sunday. We needed something that would make her sparkle and we found something that will do. If there was any time left I would have ordered at holsted jewelers. They make fine costume jewelry. In fact, I am loving some of their costume jewelry rings. The ones below kind of reminds me of my lost eternity ring especially the one on top.Maybe I should be wearing more costume jewelry instead of the real thing because I seem to keep on losing them. I am pretty sure I will get the same reaction, a "Wow!" reaction from friends and family. Anyways, from all these preparation, I really hope my daughter does perform and I hope that she will not lose her nerve.

My Daughter's First Fruit Party

It is so exciting! As part of the nutrition campaign of the school where my daughter goes to for the month of July, they are having a fruit party today. So she is assigned to bring melon. I hope that she will have fun and be able to taste all kinds of fruits and like one best. She does not like to eat fruits you see. She only eats apple when it is given by her Tito Ed. If we buy her apple or any other fruits from the grocery she does not eat them. I hope that the fruit party will change all that.

The World At Her Fingerprints

My daughter has been following a schedule ever since school started. Her classes would start at 8 am and end at 10:30. As soon as she gets home, she can play. At 2 pm, its study time. At 3 pm, its nap time. She wakes up at around 6 to 6:30 pm then she eats dinner after and then take a bath. She can either watch tv after or play if she wants to. Then at 10 pm, she's supposed to wind down.

As a parent, if there is one thing that I will try to give her the best of, that is education. I want to give her all the things, skills and knowledge that she needs to be able to succeed in life. As parents, it is our duty to be able to give our children the right to education. It is up to them to make use of it in the future. At least we will not have any regrets in the end especially if we have given it our all right from the start.

As of now, I do not have any idea what she will become in the future. The world is at her fingertips and the only thing that she has to do is to choose. I remember my sister J had so many options when she graduated in high school. She was offered intermed and scholarships with stipends from the best universities. The only thing that she had to do was choose. I remember she asked my mom what course she should take. My dad wanted her to take intermed so she could become a doctor someday. My mom did not want to choose and said that it was up to her. In the end she chose, Electrical Engineering because that was what she wanted. I am just not sure if she would have accepted taking an online course of if there was a degree online being offered at that time.

Anyways, I hope that my daughter will also be given the same opportunities that she had and I hope she gets to choose the right career path for her. One that will make her happy and fulfilled at the same time.

Minor Injuries On My Daughter's Birthday

It was tragic how my daughter was injured on her birthday but then that's life and we both had to accept it. But one thing that opened my mind was the fact that my sister J has a first aid kit inside her bag while I had none. Her son was also injured that day when his classmate collided with him and he fell to his knees. He had scratches on both knees while my daughter had a slice wound about 3 cm which was due to a classmate stabbing her with a pencil.

Anyways, both injuries were minor and they did not need to visit the doctor nor do they need to have any electrodes attached to their body or anything like that. However, this reminds me that I need to get my own physical examination soon. Even if I am a stay at home I have to be sure that I am healthy as a horse. My body may look as healthy as it ever has but it does not mean that everything is alright inside. I hope that the hospital where I am getting my physical exam have gotten their supplies at AllegroMedical.com.

The Ugly Sweater Phenomenom

I have always been told that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is definitely true so I can find specific things beautiful while you can find it ugly. I have been checking out this site and I really find the way they promote their product interesting. In fact, I have been reading the testimonials of the clients that they have who seem to be perfectly satisfied with the items which are Ugly Sweaters that they bought.

Do you know that they buy the sweater and they wear them and they buy lots of them to give to their friends and family and if ever you received one, you are obligated to wear them. You can even have an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party where all of your guests including yourself can wear the Ugly Christmas Sweaters. I think it is going to be one hilarious Christmas party. For sure, people will be smiling and laughing their hearts out.

Should I give in to this and buy my husband a Mens Ugly Sweater to start the ball rolling? Is he going to appreciate the effort or is he going to hate it? Whatever his reaction is I know he will have fun just wearing it. We could even go out and wear ours together. Who knows maybe this year it will become a fad to wear those sweaters.

Taking Care Of Myself

For this week, I decided to pamper myself. I had my hair done. I had a pedicure. I haven't had my nails done for a month already. I shopped for myself and for my daughter. I am trying to fit everything in my schedule. Although, I haven't had a facial yet and a massage. Hubby wants to have a massage too so we will probably do that this weekend.

The reason why I have a lot of time in my hands is because I intentionally did not get any new projects this week. So basically I am doing only one and that can be done in less than 3 hours. So I really have a lot of time in my hands to do what I should have done a couple of months ago and that is to take care of myself as much as I am taking care of my daughter and my husband. So yeah, I am loving every single minute of it. I do not have to rush back home because I have pending tasks to do and I can play with my daughter without checking the time every so often. In fact, for this week, I refrained from wearing a watch. Hehehe. I am barely online. Unlike before when I am online almost 24/7. I have enough sleep. I watch boys over flowers using my phone. I am loving my phone even more. I no longer have to turn on my laptop anymore. My daughter and I watched Hannah Montana The Movie yesterday and we loooved it. My daughter loves it so much that she took out her golden wig and was wearing it last night.

So for this weekend, aside from doing the necessary preparations for my daughter's 5th birthday at school. I am also looking for a bigger bag. One that I can fit a lot of my stuff in. This is an Hermes orange calfskin classic. Isn't it nice?! This will fit well with my new orange top. Plus, I hope that we will be able to watch ice age and transformers. Hehehe. So yeah, you could say that I am fitting everything for the week. I am giving myself time to have fun and enjoy myself before I take on new, exciting and challenging projects.

Plans For The 5th Birthday

It is going to be a very busy weekend and so to make sure that I would not forget one, I need to list them down:

1. Order balloons
2. Order food for my daughter's birthday. We want something easy like McDonald's or Jollibee or even Shakey's. But she wants Chow King! Hay. I doubt other kids will like crispy fish fillet and the boneless bangus which are my daughter's favorite viands these days.
3. Look for fun and new games
4. Make the labels for the giveaways
5. Grocery shopping for her birthday celebration at home
6. I wonder if I should order additional cupcakes for the kids at her sunday school class. She might want to celebrate there too. I have to discuss with hubby.

What else. Hmm. I will add to the list as soon as I remember any more.

Definitely Worth It

My husband has been working hard these days that I sometimes wish that we could just take a break and leave everything behind. Last year, we went to Singapore for the summer. This year we did not go anywhere. I hope that we will be able to take a vacation next year. I really wish we could go this year especially since there is a Vietnam Hotel Super sale from July 7 to 13 but you can use it from July 17 to September 30, 2009. However, he is new in his new job and all. So probably after a year we can take a vacation.

I checked it out and hotel rooms are as low as $45. Check out this room at Novotel Ha Long Bay. Isn't it nice?

It is even cheaper to stay there than here if you would compare the price of the hotel rooms. I really wish we could go. I hope they will have another Super sale next year. My sister might want to check this out. I do not know if she has been to Vietnam and this is a nice time to go there. She might even want to consider this as a honeymoon destination. This is a nice honeymoon destination. I think she targets to see all Asian countries before extending outwards.

If you have the time, why don't you take a break and go to Vietnam? The discount that you will be able to get is definitely worth it.

Decluttering!

Last weekend, my daughter gave out several pairs of shoes and slippers. Shoes and slippers that no longer fit her and some she no longer wants to wear anymore. The beneficiaries? Well, her cousins Janna who got around 15 pairs and she is loving all of them and her other cousin Aaliyah to whom we gave out 3 pairs.

These are just some of the items that she gave to her cousins.

Make A Wise Decision

There are already lots of people who are thinking of resigning from their jobs and thinking of just putting up their own business. I think this is a wise decision but one that they should decide on wholeheartedly. It does not work when you are not sure. You have to be 100% sure that's what you want to do. Remember it is your time and money that you are going to invest.

Before you go and spend your money on your business. Save some and invest some. Consider on investing in gold coins. They are the best forms of investment. It encompasses through time. It does not depreciates. You can even pass it on to your children and your grandchildren and they can pass it on too.

For Fun Time With Family

Since it is going to be a long weekend for the people over at the USA. I know most of the families are already thinking about what to do. The 4th of July is really a big deal over there and it gives them a chance for the kids and the parents to bond with each other. When I was a kid, I always look forward to weekends too since my dad and mom usually have something planned. Back then we were always at the province, swimming our hearts out, eating fresh sea foods, etc. My dad even bought a very small boat and named it after our group. My sisters and I called our group, "The Lovely Lovables". My parents made it a point that we have fun family events whenever we can.

There is this site called ParentsConnect.com and it could be really useful for parents. Parents are updated when it comes to events and activities in their area. There are always activities happening every time, all the time. The only problem is we are not aware. So if we get the widget that is available over at parents connect, then we know where, when and what family event is happening right now. Plus if you install that widget in your blog, you have a chance to win $1,000!

Shopping And Others

Just got back from the mall and I love what I bought for myself. I will show pictures of it next week. (kung hindi ako tamarin.)

Anyways, aside from what I bought for myself. My daughter and I bought a couple of prizes to be given out on her birthday. I am not decided yet if I want to conduct games but at least I am prepared diba. I really love Toy Kingdom and Toys R Us. I do not have to go anywhere else when I am looking for toys to give to my daughter and to other kids.

I also bought her a piano book, book 1 (beginner's level). Yesterday, I was inquiring regarding prices on piano lessons, etc. My daughter is showing an interest in playing the piano kasi. But then my mom mentioned in passing this morning na I should be the one to teach her. Well, I decided to give it a try since I know how to play the piano.

So I will give it a try. If it does not work, then she would get it somewhere else. Wish us luck! Hahaa! I could consider this as an alternative career if it works.

Building Your Wealth And Eliminating Your Debt

The tragedy of a working person is when most of her paycheck is spent on paying her debts and credit card bills. This is what is happening now for most of the people who are working. Back when I was still a corporate slave, that was what was happening to me too. Good thing, I have online earnings that I can lean back on, so I always have extra to spend and I was no longer using my cards during the last 6 months of working.

I have some friends who are complaining about having to pay their bills as soon as they receive their pay. It is as if they were not earning money because they do not have any to spend. I told them about Premium Finance and how they can use it to help them with their debts.

They can help you out when it comes to loan restructuring so you will eventually be able to reduce your debt and create your wealth. Soon after, I am sure that you will be able to enjoy your paycheck the way you were supposed to.
