For Halloween '2009

I am busy planning and preparing for my daughter's 5th birthday on July 15. Even if I am busy with that, I am already thinking about what my daughter will wear for this year's Halloween celebration. Last year, she was not able to join in on the fun because she was sick. Although I made her wear her princess costume at that time inside the room because she will not be able to wear it a few months after. She is really growing so fast.

Right now, ideas are coming to me and I am quite excited. I hope she does not get sick this year. My principle is when it comes to these things is it is never too early to start planning. The plans can change but at least you are already prepared right. So I do not feel stressed out.

But when it comes to myself I am quite hesitant to plan because I do not know if I am going to join any festivities. It is enough for me for my daughter to dress up but not me. Although I am not closing any doors especially if I am thin enough by that time to wear sexy halloween party costumes. Let us just wait and see shall we? What's important is I have to find great ideas for my daughter's costume first. I want one that will make her look great and one that she will have fun wearing.

Fun Trivia Game

If you have been following my blogs ever since you will know how much I love my games. However, it seems that I haven't been doing that for the longest time. I must remedy that situation with this Fun trivia. It is a Trivia Game and a multiplayer game. It is open for everybody worldwide. The great thing about this game is the fact that you can win cash prizes. There are some people who are really good in Trivia and I think they should try this out. You can also create your own trivia games if you want to. It is free too! All you got to do is register and you are on your way to having fun and winning cash prizes. I checked it out and there are many kinds of games on the site. There's triviala, quickfire, faceoff, jackpot, question of the day, coin a word, and so many others. Who knows maybe I get to be the player of the day someday.

This game will probably bring back my love for games. Scary because once I am hooked, I do not stop until I reach the end. That's how I am with my games. Hehehehe. You should try it too.

A Proud Father On Father's Day

Last Father's Day, we went out and treated my hubby to his favorite restaurant right now and that is the Holy Cow. We weren't able to hear mass because it was late and my hubby had to go to the office for his things.

Afterwards, my daughter wanted to play with those claw things. The one that you drop tokens in so you can maneuver the claw and get the stuff toy. She had about 6 tokens. The first time that she did it, she almost got the stuff toy but it was too heavy for the claw and so it fell. The next three tokens that she had, she played with the drum thing. Then, she wanted to play with the claw thing again. She was really determined. She wanted to get the blues clues stuff toy. So when it was down to the last token, we told her that we had to go home because of the father's day dinner that we will give my dad. We really did not think that she would get it. So the people around her were watching her without actually letting her know so she would not get self-conscious and that included us. We were actually far away from her because we wanted her to figure it out for herself. When the claw got it, it felt like the people who were watching her were not moving nor were they breathing... just like me and her dad. We all held our breaths! When the claw dropped it into the slot the people were clapping and cheering her on. She was sort of surprised when the people did that. I was jumping and her dad had a big smile on his face. Galing!

The stuff toy has its own space inside the car to remind us of her achievement. She did it on her own without any help from us and she was successful! Yey!

Here she is with her prize.

Anyone Up For A Vacation?

I haven't renewed my passport yet. I have to get that over and done with. Not only my passport but the passports of my daughter and my husband. We can never tell when we might need it. It is always good to be always prepared. Hehehe. Besides, a person can never tell when affordable travel packages come along and you can finally go despite the busy schedule that everybody seem to have these days.

Plus, I always check this travel site that can personalize travel packages based on the parameters that you have. So that includes budget, dates preferred and interests that you might have that could directly affect your travel preferences.

Check out the FatPassport homepage and see what travel recommendations they have for you. I just did and the site recommended China specifically Great Wall, Panda Breeding Center, Terracotta Warrior and Taiwan's Taipei's 101 skyscraper. What I did was I chose attractions in asia with parents for kids under 13 having a low budget (of course) and would be enjoyed by the family. That's their recommendation. It's that simple to use. Plus I have always wanted to see the Great Wall of China. My sister was able to go to China about a year ago and from the pics you could see that she really had fun.

Classes Suspended Second Day In A Row

My daughter's classes has been suspended again. I am not really worried though. As a parent I really like it when the people behind PAG-ASA and DEP-ED are a little more careful when it comes to the kids. Besides, with the a(h1n1) flu still out there, it's ok to suspend classes for the next two weeks. The kids are safer at home.

I don't think my kid is missing out on anything though because with or without classes she has her activities. You should see her reading now, she has already increased her speed. Last night, she brought her pink book to bed and she was reading out loud while lying down. I had to turn off the lights just so she would stop reading. She did but she would not let go of her book.

I used to read before I went to sleep too when I was younger. I even used to hide under the covers. Hehehe.

Super Sale!

If there is one thing that we haven't done as a family for one year already, it is to take a vacation. I have always believed that the more you work hard, the more you should give yourself a break. A sort of thank you to yourself for doing such a good job. That is why everybody is always looking forward to one. We should do that. We should at least have a vacation for at least once a year. Stress is felt for one year all throughout, those 3 days out of 365 can be stress-free, enjoyable and fun. Those 3 days can be spent bonding with the people that you love the most at a place where you have always wanted to go.

I know what you are thinking and that is your budget. Check out Accor Hotels City Super Sale. It probably has accommodation packages that will fit your budget. In fact if you book between June 23-29, you can save up to 60%. To be able to avail the promo, the stay should be between July 10 to September 30, 2009. There are rates that are as low as $25 per night!!

The cities included in the City Super Sale are Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hanoi, Manila, Mumbai, Sydney, Auckland and so many others. So what are we all waiting for? Maybe we can book one for ourselves. I have to check with my husband's leave credits since he has a new job and all. I hope there will be a Super Sale again next year. I want to go to Sydney or Bangkok!

The End Of A Chapter In Hubby's Life

My husband is not home yet but it is okay. He told me before he left the office that he will be with the Telecoms guys. You see today is the last day that he will be reporting for a company that he has worked for the past 14 years. Last night, while he was telling me about all the people who were saying goodbye to him. I shed a tear or two. I was empathizing and I could not help it since I also know those people. In fact, we were feeling a little sad last night that we had to eat out. We ate at yellow cab. Hehehe. Eating comforts us.

In order to avoid getting sad this weekend, I am planning on doing something different. An activity that we haven't tried yet but has always been curious to try it out. That is why I have been checking out the different paintball packages. There is this place where we can play paintball and release all the stress we have been feeling lately. I have to check though if what they are using come from ZephyrPaintball.com. They only use the safest materials and they have the best gear when it comes to paintball. They have paintball guns, paintball goggles, hoppers and paintball starter packages. I know they have the lowest prices of paintball gadgets and materials in the industry.

I hope this activity will also take his mind off the fact that he will start on a new job with bigger responsibilities on Monday.

My Daughter's Own Version Of A Face Mask

I have been religiously watching the news for the past 2 months (or was it 3) ever since the swine flu or a(H1N1) flu virus has infected thousands of people all over the world. It did not help that it has been spreading like wild fire for the past month here in our country. It is scary. In fact, this fear or rather MY fear regarding this disease has passed on to my daughter. Whenever we go out she would always ask for alcohol every 15 minutes. But that is not the real reason why I am blogging about it now.

This is the reason...

She made herself a paper face mask tonight. I was busy with my articles while she was busy with her project. I did not notice what she made until she wore it. Ang galing! She even told me I no longer have to buy her one because she can make her own.

I am not creative nor I am artistic. I do not where she gets it from. Hahaha! She made this on her own without any pattern of any kind. She even made a small one for her cousin Cai. Let me remind you that she is only 4 years old.

My Games

If there is one thing that I have missed, ever since I have been busy doing work online, is playing my online games. I used to complete one game a week, sometimes even two. Now I do not even play, not one downloaded pc game. (No wonder I have been so stressed out lately.) I haven't even checked out these multiplayer games that my friends are raving about. They are enjoying it so much that they want to share it with me. They know how much I am into computer games. They have also told me how fast the site is every time and the fact that is free is an additional bonus. They have been urging me to join them but I have to keep my resolve for now. I am saving up for something really big. Hahaha! Although, when I am free I make sure that I play around 2 stages of Luxor using my husband's psp or Grey's Anatomy game using my nintendo DS lite.

But one of these days I will accept the invitation of my friends. I know I will be hooked just like always.

Online Shopping Much?

We have been staying at home for a couple of days now. This is the due to the fact that the virus A(H1N1) is on a roll, infecting people. I wonder how I am going to buy this cute vintage outfit that I have been meaning to buy for a couple of weeks already and cute shoes to go with it. Do you know that it is the in thing these days? Check this out. Isn't it nice? If my built is what it used to be I will buy this in a second. No hesitations at all. For now, I will settle on what suits me. Someday and I hope soon, I will be back to a size 2. I already gave myself an allowance because I used to be a size 1. Hehehehe! There are so many occasions to attend this year up until next year that I hope I will be able to lose weight!

Anyways, no shopping at malls for now because of the A(H1N1) scare. I hope it will die down soon. Meanwhile, I am happily checking out different outfits online. Good thing there is such a thing as online shopping. I know a lot have already resorted to it too.

No More Questions, Just Answers

If you haven't known by now, my 3rd blog has its own domain. Although I haven't updated it for quite some time already. I seriously lack the time. But I will and when I do I will be updating it daily with all my unblogged purchases. Anyways, the only blog left that does not have its own domain is this blog. I might change it one of these days I just have to find the time for it. I am confident when it comes to conversion from free blog platforms to a paid one. I have read all that I can about webhosting. Thanks to webhostinggeeks.com where even security issues are discussed which means that all your reasons for hesitating when it comes to getting your own web host are addressed. Thus, nobody should no longer be hesitating when it comes to getting their personal paid domains.

If you are planning on getting web hosting services, check out the updated list of the top 10 web hosts for the year 2009. I liked how there are labels now when it comes to the services. Like number 1 web hosting provider is Immotion. It states underneath that it is a business web hosting provider. Number 2 is JustHost which is the Editor's Choice for Hosting and the 3rd slot goes to WebHostingPad which is a cheap reliable hosting provider and so on and so forth. So base from these, you can already choose which one to get right?

Yaya-less

The reason why I am keeping quiet these past few days is because I do not have a yaya for my daughter. It can be stressful but if I think about it there are also advantages. Now I can see what my daughter does all the time and we get to spend more time together. She is learning how to take a bath on her own and dress up on her own. When she had a yaya she had help all the time. Of course, I see to it that I am there with her inside the bathroom whenever she takes a bath. I have to give up certain tasks that I used to do before but I think it is all worth it. Plus the fact that it makes me appreciate yayas in general.

If I Have All The Money In The World

If I have all the money in the world, I would probably get rustic furniture, especially this Walnut 3 Drawer Corner Desk. This will be useful to me since I work at home. It has a wide space for my laptop and I can place all my documents at the side, my picture frames and all the gadgets that I need with me. I can also keep all the items that I need at close range inside the drawers that it has. In fact, I can place everything that I need and want on that table even a compact single serve coffee maker. Lol!

My Daughter's One Wish

My friends and family know my daughter's wish to have a baby brother. In fact, that is what she tells everybody she meets. Even people whom we do not know. Talk about pressure huh. However, I myself have been checking the old baby stuff even my old breast pump. But some of the parts have already been missing so I am sure to buy myself a new one when the little one comes along. As I will be breastfeeding him all the way. No more excuses since I will be at home all the time. Unlike before when I had to go to work at a regular office. So in order to get the best breast pump for me, I am checking the different breast pumps available at Allegro Medical.

Back To Working

Yes! I am finally recharged and about to start my online work again. Haha! I had about 3 hours of sleep. No worries though coz I know I will be able to get sleep later tonight. I just hope I will be able to finish my work earlier than usual so that I can relax a little earlier.

I wan to eat out tonight but I do not want to go to where there are other people who might be infected with the A(H1N1). It is now at 33. *Insert sigh here*

Excited For School Year 2009 - 2010

School is about to start and my daughter is so excited as she always checks out her new pair of shoes. She is such a shoe addict. She took it from her dad. After this school year though, we we would have to transfer her to a big school. This school she would be staying in until end of grade school or better yet until the end of high school. I am not in favor of kids transferring from one school to the next. Blame it on my upbringing since I stayed in one school from kinder to high school. At least, I have a loyalty award to prove it. Haha!

Anyways, my husband and myself are talking about the possible schools we would enroll her after this level. I already have a matrix with corresponding tuition fee prices, methods of teaching and other information. My husband really wants me to go back to school too so he is also putting some of our educational savings for our daughter aside for my education too. It is best to keep myself busy while my daughter is busy too. I have already told him about this school where I can get a degree online. I would rather be available for my daughter when she needs me that is why I am leaning towards online education. Masterals perhaps?

This blog post is based on the information provided by Blogitive. For more information, please visit Blogitive.com.

Friday Fill-In

ffi

And...here we go!

1. Working at home.

2. My favorite thing for dinner lately has been fish.

3. Arf! Arf! Arf! bark! bark! bark!

4. A nice long walk is relaxing and tiring at the same time.

5. Give me some good news.

6. When all is said and done, Thank God for whatever it is that has transpired.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to SLEEP, tomorrow my plans include either going to this business meeting OR buying another book and Sunday, I want to relax!

Baby Boom

Well, I have stopped taking my medicine for my pcos as well as my medicine to help me get pregnant. I have been stressed out for the past month. Plus I haven't been sleeping right (which is so obvious now) that it is going to be futile. So we have to postpone our desire to buy baby gifts for the moment.

To be honest, I always take a peek of what is new at babynest.com. They seem to have the best baby stuff online. Plus, a couple of friends of mine are going to give birth soon and I know there are a couple of baby showers all lined up for me to attend.

Pasting And More On Numbers

Actually she finished so many workbooks this summer that it has really been very expensive for us. Other workbooks that she was able to finish around that time were her workbooks on pasting and numbers 1-120.

Isn't it obvious that I have been keeping her busy? Hahaha! Well, the brain needs to work out too just like the body.

The Next Batch

Since my daughter was able to finish almost all of her workbooks last summer, we bought her the next batch so her learning is going to be continuous. In fact, she actually looks forward to the time when she gets to finish it because she wants to see what the next workbook is going to be like.

Just like always, she wanted to be included in the picture.

Stocking Up On Knowledge

I have been learning a lot when it comes to stocks. Actually, more on the theoretical side of it because of the work that I do. I had to keep track of the different stock options trading for my online boss. It really is very easy since all I had to do was to monitor it but because I want to learn, I have been reading about it as well. Thank God for Power Options, the only internet -based data provider on investing and stocks! Who knows someday I will be able to invest just as my boss has invested and be able to make use of what I have been learning.

I am sure my friend R will be surprised with the knowledge that I gained just by staying online.

Change In Schedule

My daughter will no longer attend the mid-morning class because my husband and I decided that she should already get used to waking up already, in preparation for the big school which she will attend a year after. So her classes will start at 8 am and end at 10:30 I hope that she will be able to cope. I hope that the two of us will be able to cope with the change of our waking hours. Haha! I hope that the best friend of my daughter will be able to cope as well because when her mom heard that I had my daughter transferred to the early morning class, she had her daughter transfer as well. It used to be from 11:30 to 2 pm.

Book Of Mazes

My daughter was also finish her book on Mazes this summer. She is really so good with mazes and does it also follow that she has a good sense of direction? I don't which clearly shows because I usually get lost especially when I am driving. You should ask my husband. I have been lost countless times already. I am sure he would prefer it if I don't drive. He had already forbidden me to go to Serendra all by myself because I can't find my way back.

Oh well. I told him practice makes perfect. Haha!

Yep, my daughter has one dimple. Haha!

Learn From The Past

I guess you could say that my husband and I are looking for things to invest in. Money is hard to come by and it flutters like the wind. It is best to always look for businesses and opportunities to invest in. One of the things that we are currently looking at are bullions. A friend of ours have attested to the fact and he has told where we can get our gold and silver bullions. You should look into it too if you know what is good for you. :) Check out Monex.com.

History has already told us the purchasing power of gold, silver and bronze and as what the historians say.. we should always learn from the past and the past has told us a great deal about the value of investing in things that never depreciates.

Number Games 1-50

I know I have been a negligent blogger this summer and let me make up for it now. About 2 months ago, my daughter was able to finish a couple of her workbooks. One of them was her book on number games from 1-150. Do you know that she can count by 5 and 10 already and that she can already do simple addition? That is how advanced she is now.

This was the certificate that she had gotten for the number games 1-150.

Still Very Much Awake

As of this time I haven't had any sleep. I have so many things to do and so sleep will have to be forgotten for now... The fact that I had problems with the internet provider last night did not help my situation at all and it contributed to the fact that I am still awake. Oh well. I will take a nap as soon as I am done with a couple of tasks that is left for me to do this morning.

J&R's Wedding Special

I wonder how the wedding preps of my sister and her fiance are progressing. I just saw the online streaming tv special thingy of Judy Ann and Ryan and it made me think of my sister who will be getting married. Just like Judy Ann, she really loves Apo Hiking Society.

Anyways, I really loved how the wedding of the Juday and Ryan turned out. You can actually feel the love that they have for each other. Plus the fact that their wedding is so well-planned and so thought out that even my husband thinks that they did a great job on their wedding. You can even compare it to destination weddings. It is that beautiful. Plus it has everything, the church, the beach and the sand, etc. It was secluded and private. Just like the wedding that you would get if you get married at one of the white sand beaches over at the Riviera Maya. How they pulled it off I have no idea. Usually one has to go to a different country altogether to get the privacy that they had especially since they are both movie stars.
