Finished With Number Games 1-70

My daughter was able to finish one of her workbooks today and so she earned another certificate.

She now knows how to count easily from numbers 1-70 without any hesitations. The important thing is she already knows the principle behind the numbers so even if she reaches up to 100 she knows that 1-9 will always follow each other.

Pregnancy Will Now Suit All Of Us

Pregnancy is a time when the hormones are all in disarray and so this is the time when women are most prone to skin problems. I remember when I was pregnant with my daughter, I used no creams whatsoever because I was not sure if the night creams, moisturizers that I use are safe for my daughter. Since there was no study nor any sign on the container that it was safe for a pregnant woman to use, I did not. I wanted to be safe than sorry.

A member of the egroup that I am a member of is asking the same thing now. Although she had more guts because I did not ask it to the group back then. I found out that there is a skin line that is dedicated to pregnant women. This beauty line called Beaute de Maman is already being used by movie stars who are pregnant. That must have been the reason why these pregnant movie stars really look beautiful and they are even more blooming than they ever were.

It is always nice when people tell you that pregnancy suits you. So if you want to order now, you can. If I am pregnant now, I would order immediately. Well actually, as soon as I get pregnant, I will.

Fourth Quarter Assessment Exams For The Nursery Level: Scope And Schedule

I have already received the pointers for review of my daughter for the last assessment exams for the school year 2008-2009. The schedule of exams will be the following:

Mar 10 - Writing
Mar 11 - Reading
Mar 12 - Language
Mar 13 - Math

For writing, she needs to study both the upper and lower case letters from Aa - Zz and numbers 1-20. For reading, she has to study the initial and final sounds of the following letters: A-Z and CVC. For language, topics would include this-that, over-below, in-out, behind-in, front and beside -between. For math, the topics would include numbers 1-20, more or less, equal and not equal and addition.

Another Skill I Have Always Wanted To Learn

If there is one thing that I want to learn and get training for, it is salon services. I want to learn how to cut hair, style them and learn how to apply make-up not only on myself but on others. I want to learn how to make people beautiful. I also want to learn how to do facials but that's another skill altogether. Anyways, do you know that learning how to apply make-up is a very profitable business with zero risk? Do you know how much brides pay to for bridal make-up? The amount is exorbitant! I paid almost Php20,000 for the bridal make-up package and that was in year 2003. Imagine that. Clients will come especially if you are very good with what you do.

My daughter religiously does her kumon workbooks after school. Actually, she does them after she has done all her school assignments. So she finished the two workbooks last week and she got 2 certificates for finishing them.
I was actually ready because I bought the next batch of workbooks already. So there would not be any lapses when it came to her workbooks.

But this one is different, I feel I am going to win. After all, the blog's birthday and my birthday are the same. So feeling ko it's meant to be. Hahahahaha!

Happy 1st Birthday Gossip Gehl!

Our Constant Companion

My daughter gets tired easily. We do not really know why. We have already discussed it with her pediatrician. That is why we always have to bring her stroller with us. So if you sometimes see us strolling in the malls, you will see her sitting down on her 3-wheeler. Good thing her stroller can still accommodate her height and her weight. That stroller has been our constant companion in our travels also. There was a time when we did not bring it with us and we regretted it deeply, especially my husband since he was the one who had to carry my daughter all the time. I love that stroller. I think it's called a jogger's stroller. It is lightweight. It only has 3 wheels and it is very easy to manage.

However there will come a time when it will no longer fit my daughter. I am sure she would love to have an electric wheelchair. But I sincerely doubt we will buy that for her. She has to develop her strength and stamina and having wheelchairs and strollers make her want to sit in it all the more. Although, it would come in handy for whenever my husband and I are the ones who are tired. There is a mall near our place where you can rent out electric vehicles (similar to the wheelchairs) so you can stroll around the mall in style and you do not have to walk anymore and just sit on it when you feel tired and still remain mobile. It is perfect for senior citizens. Dangerous though if children are the ones who use it because they tend to bump into people.

The Comments Would Have To Be Moderated From Now On

I have spent the past half hour removing the blog comments of a spammer named Ed. He spams using Chinese characters! It is so irritating! That is why the blog comments will have to be moderated from now on. Ang daming spammers! Kairita. I should have been sleeping now but I have to do something about that person. So now he knows that his comments no longer goes through which is probably the reason why he stopped giving comments.

Be Aware Of What's Happening Around You

I never thought it is going to be hard to become a parent. It is not just about raising a child and disciplining a child that is difficult but there are other factors out there that could harm your child. The recent event that happened in one of the exclusive private schools here in the metro rocked my world. The child was just crossing a parking lot and he was hit by a van and killed on the spot. The driver who is a mom just like me accidentally pressed the gas pedal. The horror of it all. I feel for everybody who is involved. I feel for the parents of the child who died. I feel for the mom who accidentally ended the life of the child. I am sure she did not want that to happen. How it could end that way I do not know the answer of. I am more paranoid know for my daughter. I am so thankful I am a stay-at-home mom so I can watch over my daughter and be with her as much as I can. I do not have to entrust her to the nanny whenever she is out of the house as I am always the one who is with her.

Another thing that I am paranoid about now is the drugs that we give to our children. Do you know that Raptiva can cause brain infections? (insert sigh here) Everybody, not just parents, should know everything that they can about Raptiva PML and its side effects. There are a growing number of children who are afflicted with brain infection because they were given the drug, not knowing that it will give them Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy as one of it's side effects. FDA already called out a warning against the drug. Everybody should be aware of that.

Single Lei!

My daughter loves to sing Single Ladies by Beyonce. But when she sings it, she sings it with only the first syllable of the word ladies which is la (pronounced as lei). So whenever she hears it she sings and dances to it.. with matching hands up in the air pa. Parang.. All you Single Lei.. all you single lei.. all you single lei. To be honest, mahirap naman talagang habulin yung ladies sa kanta. LOL!

Go For It

There are still people who do not have any luck when it comes to finding a partner. Being lonely is especially hard during February when everybody around you seem to be in love. Even birds seem to be more chirpy during the month of February. The dogs in our home seem to be in heat. It must be in the air. I do not even know anybody who does not have a partner now. Everybody's in love.

So anyways, for the single gals and guys out there, do not lose hope in finding that special someone. Do not discount the power of the internet. There have been many successful internet relationships that worked even if the couples do not care to admit it. It works! You know why? Because you get to know the real person first before you fall in love with the outside appearance. Playground

My daughter loves to play. She especially loves to play at the playground and the only playground where I allow her to play at is at her school. Actually, this is my technique, so she would always look forward to going to school. So after school, I usually leave home at around 2 pm to give her around 15 minutes to play at the playground. Not today though, she did not want to leave. I waited for almost 1 hour at the parking area.

My daughter already knows how to read. She is only four years old and she knows how to read simple words. I am so proud! Her daddy is so proud too. We would always have a reading session after she has done all her assignments. She actually looks forward to it every time.

Meet Ups Are Always Fun

I miss my old HR team. Well, some of them. :P I wonder when will be the next time we will have the chance to see each other again. We were supposed to meet up after Christmas but I was not able to come due to a previous engagement. The last time I saw them was about 1 year ago. Anyways, we would always meet up at the house of the former General Services Department Head. I remember the first time I saw her house! I was literally amazed because it was the first time I saw a home that has airconditioning units inside the bathrooms. Actually, one each bathroom. You could literally sleep inside it. Well, except for the bathroom that was situated outside beside the pool. That one did not have any a/c. I also could not forget her kitchen. The cabinets would close by themselves. She was really proud of her kitchen cabinets too. We tried opening it several times and watch it close by themselves.

We had a grand time that day, catching up on the lives of the other employees who were not with us. I am sure they would love to meet up too. In fact, I just remembered there is an occasion coming up that would require me to show myself to them. I could not say no. I am going to be a godmother to a boy who is going to go through the confirmation rites pretty soon. I heard he really chose me to be his godmother. I just hope I can lose a little weight by that time.

Not Once, But Twice

We were able to celebrate Valentine's Day twice! Yes, you heard me right. We wanted to avoid the crowds on Valentines that is why we ate earlier than we were supposed to. In other words, we ate at around 5:30 pm at Gerry's. It's what I call a pre-dinner celebration. Lol!

The next day, after church, we went straight to the mall and had a post Valentine celebration at Sbarro's. Just look at my daughter waving at me while I was taking a picture of the restaurant.

Oh and the church prepared something for the couples that day. The husband was supposed to offer a heart shaped balloon to the wife and kiss her. This is my husband kissing me. Good thing, the camera was angled in such a way that nobody can see the kiss. Just look at my daughter looking at us. Doesn't she look all stressed out?

A Group Of Red

I remember a friend and a colleague who will always wear her red suit whenever she had to do a power presentation or whenever she had a meeting with the president. She said that the color red gives her a certain level of confidence and almost always the turn-out is good. True enough, her aura is different whenever I see her with her red suit on. There was even a time when she had red highlights on her hair.

That is why I am sure redheads have it all. Although it would seem that they are few and far between these days. The first redhead I ever saw was Annie and she looked so cute with her curly red hair and her freckles. I even wanted an Annie doll after seeing the movie.

There is a social networking site exclusively for redheads. I am sure it is exciting to be part of something that you already have something in common with. So if you have red hair, come join the group. It could be a support group, encouraging you to retain the natural color of your hair or it might just be a group of people with red hair who want to have fun. After all, red is the color of love.

Already Hanging Out

My kid is growing up so fast. In fact, she is already hanging out at starbucks with her cousins by themselves. This somehow gave us a picture of what's the future going to be like.

Actually, we were at the restaurant beside Starbucks, so we were looking at them the entire time and we were all amused that they wanted to sit down at starbucks instead of staying at claw daddy where we were at. They already have their own world sans the parents.

Looking Your Best

Family occasions are fun times and that's what's been occupying my time and weekends for the past several weeks, ever since the start of 2009. Coming from a very large family means that there are always family celebrations to go to. Sometimes, you just plop on the bed at night from sheer exhaustion but it is okay because family bonding times are always good times.

Jolt's Birthday At Claw Daddy

It was my sister J's birthday last week. This sister of mine is the one who is getting married. Anyways, it was decided that we will eat at Gloria Maris in Shangri-la Mall for her birthday blow-out. But then we found out that it is no longer open. So my sister J and her boyfriend K looked for an alternative restaurant where we can eat dinner.

Little did they know that since we (cheska, myself and romel) arrived earlier than them, we ate a little. We bought sabrett hotdogs. I love the hotdogs of sabrett. I had my first taste of sabrett when my mom, myself and other relatives were in new york. My husband was worried though. He thought it would ruin our appetite. Of course, it didn't. We ate as much as the rest of them did... probably even more. LOL!

Here were are munchin' away at Claw Daddy. Everything was delicious! From the salad to the kids meal of fish and fries and chicken to the crabs, ribs and sausages, etc! It was divine! The weight gain after was worth it.

Am Still Awake

The reason why I am still awake was I needed to finish this thing that I committed to do today. But there were last minute kinks and so I had to wait until everything was ok. I had to wait because I could not log in without my password. While waiting, I had to make use of my time. Thus, I was able to update this blog. Hehehe. Anways, all is fine now and so I can finally take a snooze.

Working Out Not Working Out For Me

My husband asked me what stopped me from jogging. Well, aside from the aching joints and muscles after the work-out, I developed a very large blister under my toe. It really turned me off from taking strenuous exercises or rather from wearing my old rubber shoes. It is a sign that I should buy myself a new pair but since I don't wear them often, I feel it is such a waste of money and we all know how much a good pair of nike rubbershoes cost.

So whenever my sisters and I get together for a turbo jam session, you would see me bare foot. I refuse to have another blister. So what my husband did was he bought an ENGO® Blister Prevention Patch for me. It does not only prevent blisters but it is used for Blister Treatment too.

Cheska's First Party Without Me

My daughter was invited to attend the 7th birthday of the daughter of one of her teachers at school. The party was at Jollibee in one of the nearby malls. So what my husband and I did was left her there together with her yaya joy. My husband and I strolled around the mall and checked out curtains for our room and ate at wendy's. We wanted to try the baconator. We were surprised to find out that it costs P230 so we ate something else instead. We ate the spicy chicken sandwich. Wendy's is so overpriced isn't it?!

Anyways, when we came back, the party was not yet finished and we found out that we were not the only ones who left their kids at the party. So there were a couple of mommies and daddies waiting outside jollibee too.

Dining In

I am sure a lot of you had trouble finding restaurants to eat dinner at yesterday. Everybody wanted to show their love ones how much they mean to them by treating them out for dinner. The thing is when everybody wanted that all at the same time, it tends to become irritating because it's either you have to reserve days before or you have to arrive really early.

What we did was we had a Valentines pre-dinner to avoid the people and the rush. Besides, we have to be back by dinner because my dad's siblings and their families arrived from the USA for a vacation and my dad wanted us to be where they are at.

The thing is I hope we all have what Denver has because people from Denver just needs to look at the site westword.com for Denver Restaurants and they will be able to find themselves a place to eat at. It's complete with pictures and it even has reader recommendations. This site is a dream come true for all food lovers.

Field Trip 3rd Stop - Science Centrum

Actually, the third stop was at Blue Wave (near MOA). It was lunch time after all. So romel and I decided to eat at Shakey's. The service was terrible! I will never go back there. EVER! There were a lot of people there as all the schools who had their own field trip that day also decided to eat at Blue Wave. So almost all the restaurants were filled to the brim. Heck, the bathrooms were all full!

After lunch, we went to Science Centrum. I actually thought it was going to be at Mall of Asia Science Centrum but little did I know that we were going back to Marikina. We have our very own Science Centrum pala. Singapore had this too and my daughter together with her two cousins were able to visit it already. I think Marikina patterned it after Singapore's Science Centrum. It had mini versions of what Singapore has. What Singapore has is still the best compared to what we have but at least we already have that right? We are moving forward! Yey!

We were all tired at that time (that is why there are fewer pictures) but we still had fun checking out everything. I seriously got dizzy at the House of Fun. As in! I thought cheska and myself will never get out.

There were also a lot of students at that time. You have to watch your kid really well. It was all very confusing because of the sheer number of people. A small child could easily get lost.

Field Trip 2nd Stop - Manila Ocean Park

Since we just went there last January, the memories of the different kinds of sea life were still fresh. So what I watched instead was how my daughter interacted with her friends. Aliw! She has her own circle of friends. She has a life! LOL! It kinda made me nostalgic too as it made me realize how she is growing up.

Anyways, she acted as the tour guide to her friends this time. She joked with them, played with them and even had an argument with one of them.

Since we were not able to try the boat ride during Eli's birthday. That was what we tried this time. For 150 pesos each, the ride was not worth it. But my daughter had fun and so had I .... It was fun chatting with the moms of my daughter's classmates. Kwela!

I have been blogging since year 2005. I am not a newbie in blogging. However, I am also not an expert in blogging. That is why I need help some of the time. We all do. Personally, I depend on the templates available on the web. If I could make my own designs that would be great. So the site will clearly help me make my own templates. I no longer have to depend on others. Hours will not be spent looking for a template that is right for me. My sistes will reflect the real me. So yey for sites such as this! I have visited the site and I will surely come back for more lessons on web design. It will not only help me personally but I think I can use this skill to earn more bucks! I love it!

Field Trip First Stop - Philippine Airforce Museum

My daughter had her first field trip. Since this is her first field trip, romel and i both wanted to come. So we woke up at 5:30 to prepare. The bus which is situated near the school will leave at 7 am.

When we got to the bus and the bus was already moving. I was like OMG! I am going to have a migraine the entire ride. It was an educational bus ride. So there was a tourist guide at the front of the bus talking about anything under the sun! The kids

had fun I guess. They were very participative! I developed a migraine. It was too early for me.

I was so thankful when we arrived at the Philippine Airforce Musuem. It gave me peace and quiet. What a killjoy! LOL!

Anyways, we went around and around. I was explaining to my daughter how the pilots lived and why there were guns and all. She was really genuinely interested in it. There was even an old plane where you can go inside and take pictures in. It was smelly but the fact that it was so old makes up for it. My daughter wanted to go out immediately. Hahaha!

Since she showed interest in museums, my husband and I resolved to bring her to more museums at our own time.

When I Met You

Well, I am definitely an ate shawie fan that it extends towards her daughter. When sharon's first movie, dear heart, shows on tv via cable, you will definitely see me watching it (even if I have watched it countless times before). My daughter knows that too.. so whenever she sees kc or ate shawie on tv she says.. mom, your favorite is on tv! However, I think she is turning into a kc fan herself.

So even if the first movie did not turn out well as expected. I watched her 2nd movie (with my sister C and my daughter) on it's first day. Sadly, the moviehouse at Marquinton clearly showed that there is a dip in the public's interest in her, which is the first movie's fault. The storyline of the first movie was really not for her. They (WE) were expecting a kind of gabby-sharon (dear heart) kind of movie since it was her first. The fact that her boobs were all over the place, shocked the conservative side of the Filipino, we all think of kc as our sister, daughter, friend, etc. Maybe if it was her 3rd or 4th movie, it would not get the same reaction. However, the 2nd movie, when I met you, is much better than the first. It brought back the old school kilig. It will bring you back to the days of sharon and gabby which is what we all want.

If you get the chance to watch it, do so. You will not be frustratingly disappointed (that was the reaction of a lot of movie goers to their first movie).


I know, I know the trailer is bad. However, do not judge the movie based on the trailer alone. The movie is quite good. After I saw When I Met You, I told my sister.. this should have been her first movie.

Dreaming Of Winning

The news said that the lotto pot money has not been won yet. Can you just imagine winning over a hundred fifty million pesos? Wow! All our financial dreams will come true! This reminds me to take a chance and place my numbers. Who knows? I have a chance just like anybody.

If I win, I will buy a house and lot (around 3 for investment purposes), I will buy new cars for each of the following: myself, my husband, my dad, my sister B and my sister J. I will also set aside some of it for my daughter's future and a separate one for her education. I will put up a business for myself (and my husband) and another business for my brother J. I will also be the one who will take care of my youngest brother's education expenses from then on. Depending on the winnings, if it is still possible, all my nephews and niece will have trust funds for their future. They will all have a comfortable life. I will buy myself some gold bullions too and put it in a bank. It is a wise investment, after all. Of course, travel is included in the picture. We will go everywhere together. Everybody in the family who wants to come can come. My mom will have a lifetime shopping budget. She can have anything that she ever wanted and some items she may not even want.

I can have all that and much more. I really should place my bet.

Spreading The Love

My daughter gave out heart shaped lollipops to her classmates and teachers last thursday. The last school day last week. It was her first valentines at school and I wanted to make it extra special for her and for her classmates too. The teachers were planning it too as the students were asked to wear red.

My daughter was so excited to go to school that day. She was holding on to the lollipops, almost forgetting her school bag. Lol!
So you see Valentines Day is not only for lovers but it is also a chance for one tell a neighbor, a friend or a classmate how much they mean to you.

Love Is In The Air

I spoke too soon. Remember, I was just telling this blog last night that I did not want to receive flowers... yada yada yada...

Guess what greeted me this morning?


My husband is so sweet, isn't he? I swear I did not have any idea. I woke up at 10:30 am and carried my daughter to the bathroom. This bouquet of red roses was beside the fishbowl that was on the bathroom sink. It was such a beautiful sight. My daughter and I were so surprised.


... and of course he did not disappoint. He also gave me chocolates. *sigh*


He knows naman how much I love him. Happy Valentines Romel! Thank you for making me feel special with the flowers and chocolates. It is always nice to be surprised once in a while.

Oh ayan kinain ko yung sinabi ko. Receiving Valentines card from the daughter makes me feel good. Receiving flowers and chocolates from the husband make me feel loved. Put them all together, the feeling is indescribable. Yun na.

May you all have a Valentines that as sweet and as romantic as mine is.

I do not really know anything about investment or anything about stocks. I do not even know if now is the perfect time to get into it. But it is always wise to learn something new. Bonding With Sisters

I had the chance to bond with my sisters. This was during the time when we visited my aunt at the hospital. Everybody made time. Even my sister J whose afternoon was jam packed with meetings. We were not even allowed to chat during the drive to the hospital. She was in a phone conference meeting thing.

Anyways, after the visit, my other sister J, treated us to dinner at racks. My husband was the one who chose the restaurant. We were undecided. My sister C wanted to eat at Libis, my sister B wanted to eat at this steakhouse. I was ok with anything.

Even if the situation was less than favorable because of my aunt, it was a good afternoon for me. I miss bonding with my sisters and I hope we get to bond more often.

This is one of my late posts. Last January 27 was my sil's birthday. She celebrated it together with Janna, the weekend before her birthday. The night was spent eating and singing. Everybody had fun. The kids, the girls, spent the night playing barbie dolls. It was a good birthday celebration.

J & K Are Getting Married

My sister is getting married. Her fiance proposed last sunday during sunrise. How romantic is that! Plus it was her birthday last Tuesday. So everybody was happy celebrating her birthday and their engagement. Her boyfriend K is already part of the family even before they were even engaged. He is always with us during family occasions that it would not be complete without him.

Anyways, even if it will be a year of preparation and planning. It does not hurt to start early. I remember planning for our wedding. It also took us a year to prepare. It is not an easy task. You should ask my husband. We were all over the place scouring and scouting for suppliers. That is why I love weddingchannel.com. It helped me make it as stress-free as possible.

This month is definitely a month for hearts. It is just like Christmas, you can actually feel it in the air.

Valentines day is just a few minutes away. I just want to blog about this. I have received flowers and chocolates since college from suitors or a boyfriend I had at that time. At first, it made me feel special but there came a time when it did not feel special anymore. It became.... ordinary.

So my husband does not give me flowers anymore. I feel it is such a waste of money. They wilt anyway. I would appreciate it more if I receive chocolates instead. I do not know if we have plans tomorrow. In fact, I do not really care if we do. It is irritating to be with so many others, waiting for a table that takes forever to clear. Baah! Humbug! LOL! Maybe will just order in.. probably kfc or tapa king will do.

Anyways, I just want to say that my daughter made me feel extra special this year because she came home with this yesterday.....

You know what.. personally speaking, receiving cards from my daughter is so much more special than receiving flowers from the shop (except when it comes from hubby of course). So I will be looking forward to cards from my daughter and chocolates from my husband every Valentines. No flowers for me please.

My Nephew's Birthday Celebration At School

After the celebration at Manila Ocean Park, my nephew celebrated his birthday on the exact date of his birthday at his school, ISYC or Integrated School For Young Children. It was encouraged that friends and family should celebrate it with him, that is why my daughter and I celebrated it with him. It was also a chance for me to observe how the teachers interact with their students. See the difference in the teaching styles of my daughter's school and ISYC. I might make a post on this one of these days. But at that time I decided to let my daughter just continue her preschool to where she is currently at. I have my reasons.

Anyways, I could see that my nephew had so much fun celebrating his birthday at school which brought back memories of how my daughter celebrated her birthday at her school. My sister really prepared when it came to game concepts and prizes. Kudos to her for being a good party host! Hahaha! I am sure all the classmates of my nephew had fun. They have 10 students in one class being handled by 2 teachers. Food came from Mcdonalds, cake from shoppersville bakeshop, prizes came from the shangri-la mall where my sister almost always shops at.

I am sure my nephew will remember his 5th birthday for a long time... probably until his 6th birthday. :)

No More Junk Mail

It is time to care. That is why I am doing my share by being a member of the privacy council. Their goal is to save a million trees by getting rid of junk mail. Mail that do not really get to be read. Some go straight to the trash can which is not the recipient's fault anyways. It is the same with e-mail, junk mail or spam mail goes straight to the trash right?

Never Drink And Drive

I am always careful when I drive. I make sure that I have all my senses with me. These days one can never be too careful, especially since there are a lot of careless drivers out there. Just like I always remind my husband whenever he has a night out with his buddies, he should never drink and drive.

However, there are those who still do that and some get caught like the infamous Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. I know they have their own DUI laywers that helped them with their cases. Just like there is a San Diego DUI Lawyer to help you out with Drunk Driving Laws if you live in that area.

My daughter needs to learn the song. That is why I am embedding it here so I do not have to look for it all the time. I think they have another presentation coming up. I can't wait.

Issay Miyaki Is My All-Time Fave

My daughter loves scents. She makes me buy different kinds of cologne. My sister can attest to that fact that she loves to smell good. Anyways, aside from her own cologne collection, she always check out my perfumes. She also likes my most favorite perfume and that is Issay Miyaki. This is really my all-time favorite perfume. Even if hubby would buy me a new one, I would always go back to Issay. He also loves it on me. I think Issay Miyaki is my signature scent. Hehehe. We all have that you know.

There is this perfume blog that I am recently been checking out. See what's new in the market when it comes to perfumes because even if I always rivert back to Issay, there's no harm in trying out what else is out there.

Foot Spa

The one thing that came as a surprise to me that day was the special treat of Eli to us. He treated us to a foot spa at Manila Ocean Park. This is not an ordinary foot spa because the ones who took care of our feet were lots and lots of fish. It was uncomfortable at first but then it became ticklish. It was fun! An experience that I will never forget.

Discovering And Loving It

I am really happy with my phone now. I have been for a couple of months now. I just love my nokia e71. It really is so perfect for me. My sister also has the same kind of phone and we sometimes compare what we know of our phones. Just last week, she asked my why I did not use the GPS feature of my phone when I was lost and could not find my way back home. I have a simple explanation. I did not know. Haha! So know she gave me this file that I am supposed to install in my computer then transfer it to my phone. She said it's better than the GPS feature since it will clearly show me the streets that I am supposed to be on. She knows that I do not have any sense of direction at all.

Anyways, I know that my husband would want another kind of phone. I do not have any idea when he is going to change his phone but I know it's going to be pretty soon. That is why I am going to tell him about Gadget Circle.

Eli's 5th Birthday At Manila Ocean Park Tour Part 2

Some of the more interesting sea life can be found at Manila Ocean Park. Aside from the moving platform that you can hop on and off at Underwater World Singapore, our MOP can give a run for its money. Love your own. Ika nga. Hehe.

Adult Acne

I am having skin break-outs again. Thus, I am trying out several different creams to help me with my skin dilemma, including 7 Cream with Manuka Honey. I do not know what is happening since this never happened to me before. I had an almost perfect skin when I was growing up. No longer! I have adult acne. Grrr.

Hopefully one of them will work. I hate pimples!

My Daughter's Results For The 3rd Periodical Exams Nursery Level

Ok so before I go on with Eli's birthday at Manila Ocean Park. Let me tell you about the excellent scores that my daughter got for her 3rd Periodical Exams. She got really great grades especially with the fact that she has a heavy load for somebody at her level. Thus, she earned herself several rewards. Hehehe.

Writing - Perfect
Reading - 30/34 (Good)

(I can understand the mistake. Part of the exams was indentification of the picture and then she was supposed to identify the beginning letter of that picture. This is without any help from any of the teachers. So the picture that she was supposed to identify was a keg. For somebody who is not exposed to beer of any kind, how can she know what a beer keg is? :P I think she thought it was a pail or something since she wrote down the letter P.) Plus the reading level that they got for the Nursery level is already Kinder level. So it is way advanced.

Language - 30/30 (Perfect)
Math - 24/26 (Good)

During the brief PTC that I had with my daughter's head teacher, Gloria, she said that for the 4th quarter, addition is part of the curriculum, time telling and numbers will already be from 1-100. So good luck to the both of us.

It is time to check out a degree online for me.

Turbo Jammin' Like The Rest Of Us

I just realized how big my daughter is. Last night, my sisters and I had a turbo jam session and my daughter was grooovin' along with us. Sayang coz I was not able to take a picture. She was really kickin and punchin hard like the rest of us.

At first she was at the back of the group with me but at the end of the turbo jam session, she was already beside her Tita B. It opened my eyes on how big she is now and how old I am. Hahaha!

So I better start savin' up for her college education. I hope she will be able to get into a good university. I am sure online universities at that time will be more popular than ever. Students will no longer have to go to the campus to learn.

Wishin' to have another baby this year. But this is another topic altogether.

Want Some Golfkurs?

Golf is one sport that I have not tried yet. My brother-in-law is into golf but he plays it once in a while. It takes most of the day and time is one thing that he does not have right now. I suggest if you are very stressed in the office you should take up golf during the weekends.

The recent golf scandal which involved politicians and an old man with an underage boy had rocked the golf world. The politicians and their bodyguards ganged up on the old man and the minor that he was with. Personally, the politicians should have been removed from their respective positions. This is such a clear case of abuse and power. Anyways, based from the reports the boy does not want to play golf anymore. He was traumatized from the experience.

What happened was bizarre and it should not have happened. Golf is a very peaceful, it is a disciplined sport and it's supposed to be stress free. That is why it was a shock not only to everyone involved but to every one who loves golf. Fights never break out at golf courses.

There is a german golf portal that I know of. The site is everything about golf. The site sells golf equipment, gives tips, etc. You name it they got it. Do you know that you need to pass Platzreife before you can even play at a golf course in Germany? Maybe that is what we all need right here. So people who gets to play knows how to play and those who want to play should learn how to play first. Germans really take golf seriously that they even have a Golfurlaub which is a golf holiday.

Eli's 5th Birthday At Manila Ocean Park Tour Part 1

The next day we were asked to wake up early because we were to meet up at Manila Ocean Park for my nephew's 5th birthday. Since we were all coming from different places, we were completed around 12 pm already, even if the meet up time was 10 am.

Anyways, since we arrived earlier than some of them, we took some pictures at the look out point. You can actually see the sea and a couple of boats from there.

Then it was decided to eat lunch first (before the tour) at North Park. North Park is situated right beside the entrance of Manila Ocean Park. There are also other restaurants there such as Pancake House and others. So do not worry about food because there are lots so you will not go hungry.

When we all had our fill, the tour began. My husband said that the Underwater World at Singapore is still bigger than what we have but I say ours look larger. It's just a matter of perspective that's all. Hehehe.

So when you enter the place, you will see a couple of small to medium size aquariums showcasing off different kinds of fish. This was outdoors.

Then, you have to climb a set of stairs to see a small group of crocodiles (or was it alligators I honestly cannot tell the difference). My daughter cried when she saw them because she had a slight traumatic experience at Malabon Zoo when one of the said animals (baby crocodile) snapped at her.

Then just like what Singapore has, there is a place where you can touch the starfish. See and feel how it feels like. There were also a couple of stingray fish and baby sharks but it was not recommended that you touch those.


Then the most interesting fish you can find were located indoors.. Part 2 to follow...
