Yes, it is now day 4 and I am trying as hard as I can not to watch PBB's online streaming. However, there are times when I visit the sites, particularly this one site where I already developed friends. We all are rooting for one team which is Melai's which made it easier for us to bond. Our group, the nosebleeders (hahaha!), are comprised of people from all walks of life. It was actually formed because this guy is seriously head-over-heels attracted to this girl from another country. The problem was, this guy (who was good looking since he is partly Spanish, American and Filipino) does not know how to speak in English. So I became his translator. I translate the things this particular girl was telling him and I translate his Tagalog to English so that the love of his life will be able to understand what he is saying. Last night, imagine all of our surprise when he told us that he knows how to speak and write in Spanish. He is so fluent in Spanish! We were actually blown away. He told us that his grandmother used to speak to him in Spanish all the time.
The reason why he does not know how to speak in English (although he tries so very hard) is because he was not able to graduate at all. I told him that it is not yet too late for him and he can always go back to school whenever he wants to. He does not even have to go to a regular class, he can enroll in an online university. He can even get his degree online. He was rather surprised and said he did not know that there are already online schools he can go to. Thus, when he seemed interested enough, that was when I started telling him about Capella University and that there are accredited online schools such as these for working adults. I hope he seriously considers going to one. It is such a waste if he doesn't since he seems to be such a smart guy.
