The Cook In Me

If there is one thing I do not know how to do it is to cook. When I was growing up, whenever we did not have a maid, I was the designated cook so I knew how to cook. It ended when I was in high school since I was in a dorm during most of my college years and after that I was just too busy with my career to cook food at home. Besides, we can always rely on take out right or fast food delivery. But since I am a mom now, I know I should be able to cook even simple dishes. I try sometimes but I always have to ask for instructions. I always have to rely on recipes and measuring spoons and cakes. Back then I did not have to use any of that. I relied on instinct. Anyways, I am so glad that I found this site called FoodConnect. It has really helped me a lot when it comes to recipes. What I love about it the most is it helps me change the serving size of the dish. Since I am quite new at this, it would help avoid waste if I make dishes that can only serve 2 at the most 4. Just imagine if I make a dish good for 8 people and nobody liked the dish that I prepared! Que Horror! Although it hasn't failed me yet. Another thing I like about it is the search feature. So I can always search for the menu of what I want to cook at the moment. Not that I am going to make a career out of it. But I am not closing my doors. Who knows? Maybe after a year or two, I might open up my restaurant. Haha! Wishful thinking!
