Happy New Year!

From my family to yours...
Hope we all have a productive year ahead of us. Year 2008 was the year that I became what I have always wanted the most with benefits. This was the year that I finally made my dream a reality. So I will always be thankful for all the blessings that I have received that made it possible for my dreams to happen. Hopefully, next year will become even better ( IN ALL ASPECTS).

Yey for 2008! Hello 2009! Remember continue to dream because dreams do come true!

It's Getting Colder

It is so cold nowadays which was not the case a couple of days ago. I was beginning to wonder when it will get cold at all. Christmas has already passed and it was not cold at all. But now the cool season is coming back with a vengeance. I really love the cool season but sometimes the temperature gets to me and so when it gets really cold my bones sometimes ache. Blame it on old age. Not that I am old, mind you. Hahaha! I used to bug my husband to go to Baguio because I wanted to feel the Christmas spirit. I wanted to feel the cold air. I wanted my daughter to feel it as well. But no longer because the weather is nice and cool where we are. Sometimes it gets so cold that I hoped we have one of those Electric Fires, the type where you see it as a Hole in the Wall Fires. Weather reports say that it will even get a lot colder the next couple of days. I hope that the cool season will last until March.

Anyways, my parents need one too of those Gas Fires too, especially my dad since he has rheumatism and arthritis so Gas Fires will really be helpful. The great thing is there are many designs to choose from. So incorporating it in the house would not be a problem.

Class Christmas Party 2008 And The Diamond Castle

My daughter attended her first Christmas party exclusively for them. In other words, parents and nannies are not allowed. Hahahaha! She was so excited that she was can't wait for us to bring her to school. Since my hubby is around, he was the one in-charge in bringing my daughter to school and fetching her after wards. I also wanted to come! It is her first Christmas party without me! Hahaha!

Here she is at home.

and inside the car, getting more impatient by the minute.

Then after wards we went straight to Galleria to watch Barbie and The Diamond Castle shown at 3 pm. My daughter enjoyed that very much even if there were a lot of people around. We have a picture with the Diamond Castle cast but I still have to scan it.

As soon as I got home, I went online and checked out this degree online that my friend was raving about. It was a fun and productive day for me. I bonded with my daughter and at the same time did something for myself too.

Belated Gifts To Give

I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is. He needs his one cup of coffee as soon as he wakes up in the morning. I am more of a tea drinker but I have had a cup or two at Starbucks. Anyways, I think giving him K-cups even after Christmas would be a pleasant surprise. With this gift, I might become a converted coffee drinker myself. Who knows? It is portable, convenient and compact. My mom would want one too for herself. She is much as addicted to coffee as my husband is.

Any hoo with regards to gift giving during Christmas, I always have another "surprise" gift for my hubby. The first gift is usually the dummy gift but there was not really any time to buy a second gift for him this Christmas. That is why I was not able to follow my own gift giving tradition. Plus, gift giving is not only exclusive during Christmas but you can actually give gifts all throughout the year. So this gift can actually be my New Year's gift to them both. Actually, I can address the other one to my dad because I was only able to give him a sweater for Christmas. Talk about Christmas gift buying rush.

Gifts For The Classmates And The Teachers

Forgive me, this is one of my super late posts. Ngayon lang actually nakakahabol. The past few days have been super hectic.

This is what my daughter gave her teachers bought at SM Megamall Department Store

and her classmates bought at Toy Kingdom.

The thing is I love that she is getting older because she can already help me in wrapping the gifts and putting her name on the gifts even if it would always take longer. I hope that the people appreciate her small notes (written in big letters) because she worked really hard on them.

Candles As Gifts

If there is one thing I will not get tired of getting, those are candles. My husband and I was able to receive this very beautiful and large candle given to us by our wedding godparents. We sure like receiving them because it serves a triple purpose. It serves to beautify the home, gives some kind of therapy because of it's aroma and it lights up the house. Plus I never get tired of giving candles as a house gift. Do you know I was able to give out a couple of Soy Candles this Christmas? Home owners like to receive them. I have a friend who are into wholesale soy candles. She is always on the look-out for them. That is why she was able to receive a couple of candles from us because I know she appreciates them.

Not Again

Gah! I received an email this morning telling me that I should not make any changes to my other blog for 24 hours because they are migrating it to a new server. I just hope that there would not be any glitches. Please o please!

Positive thinking... positive thinking... positive thinking

My Mom Is A Great Cook

I love going to the parents' other house because when my mom and dad invites us over to have dinner or lunch, it usually means that my mom cooked. You should taste my mom's cooking. My dad would say over and over again that she should have her own restaurant. Whatever she has prepared at the moment, you are assured that it will be a delight. That is why it was a pleasant surprise when I found out that she has prepared her famous cupcakes amongst other things. The last time she made them was when I was still a kid. Even if she has not prepared them for such a long time, she still has the "oomph" in baking. Art and Cooking really takes talent and skill. The skill can be learned over the years but the talent in cooking and baking she got from God and I am so glad that she is going back to it.

Maybe the fact that she has circulon steel elite made a difference, especially for those cupcakes. Personally, I always find it more inspiring to cook food when the kitchen equipments are all nice, don't you? Whenever I cook, I would always imagine I am some sort of chef or a cooking show host so I need to have nice and presentable gadgets and equipments. I know you can never get enough infinite circulon so maybe my mom would appreciate more of them so she would cook more. Haha.

This is also the main reason why I am looking forward to what she will be preparing for us come New Year's Eve. I can't wait.

Carousel Ride At The Shang

Whenever I would shop for Christmas gifts, at first, I would not leave my daughter behind. So it took me triple time because I had to attend to her needs first. Like if she was already hungry, we would always stop and eat first. Or if she was tired already, we had to stop and sit for awhile. Of course, there were times when she wanted to have a little fun. So in order to make it fun for her, I had to make do with what is available at the mall and so there were times when I would give in with carousel rides or trips to the book stores or toy stores.

This was taken at Shangri-la Mall a couple of days before Christmas.

Of course, I realized that aside from taking me longer, it became too expensive to bring her along every time and so there were times when she was left at home with the yaya which she prefers anways especially during the latter Christmas shopping episodes because of the flow of the people in the malls.

Zenni Has Cool Frames Out For The Season

"'Tis the season to be jolly la la la la la"

...especially with Zenni Optical since they have their Holiday frames out for the season. So even if you are really not feeling the Christmas spirit, I am sure most of you don't, you will no longer be able to affect the people around you with these glasses because you are in sync with the season. Plus when happy people gravitate around you because they will surely ask about your Christmas glasses, you can't help not feel being happy and "Christmasy". So it is really not to late to feel the Christmas season, with these frames, you can feel the Christmas spirit all year round.

Just check out this pair that I am loving right now because it will coordinate with my new blue Havaianas flip flops.

Ain't it nice? It is so cool and dainty and I am so loving the color. So I might even be wearing this all throughout the year especially when I am groovin' with my flip flops.

Actually, there are more frame designs that you can check out at zennioptical.com if you plan to buy one or maybe even a couple of frames. We all know that they sell glasses at such a low cost so getting more than 1 pair to fit your outfits are ok and would not even hurt your budget.

Assigned Prizes Brought To School

As part of my daughter's Christmas class party at school, she was tasked to bring prizes for all the kids in the class. So we went straight to Toy Kingdom and brought prizes. This is what I was able to buy.
As you can see, I did not break the bank with the items that I bought. It was an unexpected expense and times like these we have to be wise in our spendings.

You Can Still Get That Wish

Were you able to get what you wanted? Did you wish for it in the first place? Usually the gifts that we receive are the ones that we wished for. Some do not even bother wishing for them. So do not be perplexed if you did not get even 1 of what you wanted in the first place. And it does not necessarily mean that when Christmas has passed, we can no longer get our wish. It is never too late to wish for what we want all year round. We do not actually have to wait for December to wish and hope that we get what we want and deserve. So if you got a wish, do not hesitate. We no longer have to wait for a falling star. All we got to do is sit on Santa's lap. Yes, Santa is still available even after Christmas. All you need is a digital photo so you will be able to upload your photo on the site. However, there are rules one must follow and they are: You must be the owner of the photo you submitted. You must be a resident of the USA and you must be 18 years old and above especially if you want to join the sweepstakes.

Have you visited the site already? I have and I have always wanted to give my mom a CEIVA Digital Photo Frame, like the one that is being shown at the site. I am sure she would appreciate it. It is a good thing that gift giving is not only exclusive during Christmas.

Creating A Future For Herself

I am so proud of one of my husband's cousin J who is making a future for herself. People, men and women alike, should know that they can take control their future especially when it comes to money matters. Sometimes all it takes is for a person to be hardworking to be able to make money. I can see the hair dos of the sisters of my husband done by his cousin J and I can say that she is great at what she does. She really has talent in hair salon jobs. To think she only took like a training course somewhere at the community. It really says a lot about her. I know she will go far with her chosen career. She just has to stay focused and to be hardworking. She does not have to worry though about having a job because there is this site called beautyjobs.com where beauty, salon, spa and even cosmetology jobs are always available. Since she is qualified enough, the owners of these establishments will be the one looking for her.

Merry Christmas!

Before I sign off for the day, let me just greet you all a...

Hope you all have a good one. Remember, it's not all about the gifts. Sometimes its the respect and the love that you show the people that you love. Sometimes that's all that you can give and that's ok because that's what it's all about.

Here's a picture to leave you with, God's gift to me and hubby... my best Christmas present EVER! I could not ask for anything more (except for another one). Haha or should I say Ho! Ho! Ho!

For A Chance To Get That Wish

Christmas is tiring don't you think? I have been in and out of the house doing all these things needed by Christmas or rather the family's Christmas tradition. Now that I have a few minutes to rest and breathe, it got me thinking about Santa's gift to my daughter. What does my daughter want to receive from Santa this year? She has been a good girl this year and she deserves a gift from Santa.

If I see a Santa at the mall, I will definitely let her experience the sitting on Santa's lap and telling your wish thing to him. I was not able to experience that when I was a child. Although all my wishes have been granted by my parents.

Anyways, there is a site where you go to for a chance to get your wishes come true. So if you got a wish, go and sit on Santa's lap. It does not hurt... maybe that's that it takes for one of your wishes to come true.

So if you got a digital photo, resident of the USA and over 18 years of age. You will have a chance for that wish coming true. A chance to win $500 is probably enough to get one of those items on your wish list crossed out.

Make yourself happy this Christmas. You know you deserve it.

Almon Marina

We have been shopping here and there, looking for the perfect gifts for our love ones. Of course, shopping brings out hunger pangs and exhaustion especially when you are not shopping for your self. So when we were in Megamall, we ate at Almon Marina. Actually it was a choice between Mangan or Almon Marina. Although, if it was our daughter's choice, it would have been Max's. The reason for the choice is because it was the one nearest to Toy Kingdom which was our next stop.

Haha!
keeping her occupied
lucky number don't you think?
he won!

Learning How To Deal

If you have been an avid reader of my blog, you would know that for the past months, I have been sick with worry about my child's health. My daughter's health has taken quite a tumble this year. Ask her pedia doctor, there was a time for two whole months that we would visit her doctor once, sometimes even twice a week. Her pedia visits placed my mind at ease. At least she was constantly being monitored by her doctor. She was always coughing and the fever would always follow. It was horrible. Although people told me that the child's health will suffer the first year of preschool and that I should not worry much. That is why I am really grateful for this site that I found which gave me tips on How to cope with preschool illnesses. It really helped me a lot on dealing with it. As a mom, it placed my mind at ease and taken some of my worries away.

The site also has guides on how to dress your child. There is a section which is really apt for the holidays since it teaches parents on dressing toddler for the winter. It teaches what areas to concentrate on which is really helpful because not every parent knows that.

To be honest, most of the time, we need help on how to become good parents. I am at a loss most of the time so tips and advice on how to become a good parent is always welcome to me.

A Blue Afternoon

We were planning to go somewhere last December 1 since it was a holiday. But my husband had to attend a meeting at that time and so we were left by ourselves. Thus, I planned to go to Serendra instead but dropped by Shakey's Marquinton first because I was feeling a little blue. Good thing that we did because the meeting that my husband was attending ended before I even finished my mojos.

Haha!

My constant companion.
How can you stay blue when you have her around?

Alternative Gift Option

I still have a lot of gifts to buy for Christmas. Talk about stress! Only 12 more days to go before Christmas! Good thing a Gift Card Mall™ exists. It makes shopping easier because we no longer shop for our love ones but we get gift cards instead and hand them out during the Holiday season and they do the shopping for themselves.

With gift cards, we no longer have to guess what gifts our love ones want to receive this Christmas because they are the ones who go out and buy the things that they want to receive. All they got to use are the gift cards from Blackhawk Network which is the largest provider of prepaid gift cards.

My mom will surely appreciate one of these.

One Rainy Evening

It was a rainy evening, a couple of weeks ago. Even if it was drizzling, my husband wanted to eat out at Racks El Pueblo. We were supposed to bring Kyle (my husband's nephew) back to their house since we borrowed him for the afternoon. But since it was drizzling, we ate out instead. Hehehe. And we did not bring him back that night but returned him the next day instead. He played with my husband's psp and my nintendo ds the whole afternoon and the whole night, alternating between the two. Of course, he would always give way when my daughter wanted one.

Here are the pictures taken at El Pueblo Racks.

Cool New Site!

OMG! I love showbiz gossip. I love to be up to date when it comes to the latest fashion, latest rumor and the latest scandal whether it is here or abroad. I stumbled upon this site where it tells about the latest on Abbey Clancy and how she became into this jealous violent girlfriend all of a sudden. The site is very gossip girl-ish! It's so cool. I love stumbling upon sites as cool as this one. I have already bookmarked the site for future gossip references. I can't wait to get back to it. I have to read about the one where Kevin Federline tells all. There are a lot of great stories there I am telling ya! It will keep you occupied for hours! Well, it will keep ME occupied for hours on end. This is great timing as I have been looking for other sites to read as I am getting bored with the old gossip sites that I frequent.

Aside from the gossip, the site also shows very cool and hip Japanese fashions. Plus, I even saw an article on Make-Up Tips. I badly need tips on how to put on make-up. So the site is not only about gossip but it makes a contribution to the world by making it's readers more beautiful.

Way To Early

Boys are something that I do not want to worry think about now. My daughter is only 4 years old for heaven's sake. So imagine my surprise when I learned that a boy who is 5 has a crush on my daughter. Hu-watt?! I told my husband he should deal with it. I am unable to comprehend how this can be so. Girls and boys their age only think about toys right? I used to think that admiration for the opposite gender happens, at the very least, when one is in grade school right? RIGHT? The important thing is my daughter does not think much of it even if these two boys tease her about it.

That was my immediate reaction. As of this time, I have already calmed down. Hahaha! It actually reminded me of the time when my youngest sister was of the same age as my daughter and we were on vacation at my mom's home town. This boy went up to my mom and asked if he can court my sister. Hahahahahahahaaha! That was hilarous. My mom told D that he should finish medicine first before he can court my sister. O diba.

Great, Great News

I have some good news. We all need to hear at least one good news per day. Well, the news that I have will affect those who are having trouble with their eyesight and the news is about cheap eyeglasses. Eyeglasses from Optical4less are now at $15 a piece. Great huh.

I was checking out the site because between you and me I am having headaches frequently. My husband says that it is because I am reading all the time. How can I not read? You would understand when I tell you that I now at book 3 of the Twilight series. I cannot seem to stop. I sometimes even repeat certain chapters just because I want to capture the moment again. My sister C who is currently on book 2 is complaining of headaches as well. Maybe what we need are prescription eyeglasses. So I will tell her about this site. We always share good sites where we can buy great items. Like my mom was bugging me to order certain organic products from this site. I haven't gotten around it yet. Anyways, check this very cool frames.. the frames have rhinestones on it. It is very stylish and trendy. Do you know that they also offer free worldwide shopping? Well, if you order more than a pair. So get your Eye Glasses now and give a pair or two for your love ones.

Fever Update

To update you guys, after that night, the fever did not relapse. So we have breathed huge sighs of relief. The coughs and colds are still there but it is now manageable. We have been religious in giving her inhaler (with the use of the babyhaler) and the muconase and so far so good. We haven't brought her to the doctor yet because my husband said that there is no need. She hasn't missed even one day of class. Woo hoo!

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Expenses And Allowances

The year is about to end and with the end of the year comes the expenses for the next year. One of the major expenses that we have yearly are the car expenses such as car insurance, car registration and others. We have to settle all the expenses before the end of the 1st quarter of the year.

Personally, I always make sure that I have Car Allowance. This allowance can never be touched unless it is for car expenses. In this way, I am assured that whenever I have car emergencies or car trouble, I will always have budget for that. I also have clothing allowance for myself and for my daughter but that's another story altogether.

Unforeseen expenses can be a bother especially if you have already budgeted the expenses for the week, month or even for the entire year. Car expenses are never cheap. It can really burn a hole in the pockets. If you were not able to save some for car trouble, it can really unbalance the savings and expenses of the household. Just tonight, my dad told me that I should never leave my laptop in the car. Robbers are now targeting cars that have laptops in them. They break the car windows just so they can get the laptop inside. Well, I no longer bring my laptop with me because I use my handy dandy cellphone (with wi-fi capabilities) instead. Just imagine losing your laptop and having to spend to fix the broken car windows. It can really ruin your year.

39.2

So we were up all night because my daughter's temperature went as high as 39.2. When that happened, we woke her up to give her paracetamol and hoped that her temperature will go down. So the whole night we were up and about checking her temperature and placing a cool cloth on her forehead and making sure that it stays there since she keeps on removing it.

So as expected, when the temp went down, my hubby and I slept until 10:30 am. Now, she is only at 36.4. But her cough and colds are still as bad as yesterday, if not worse so I am thinking if we should bring her to the doctor today.

How To Keep Your Clients

I wonder what happened to my credit card statement of account that was supposed to be delivered last week. Talk about poor service. The very thing that irritates me the most is when they fail to give you a copy of your credit card statement and when you are unable to pay for that month, a Collection Agency will call your cellphone, your land line and bug you about the payment. The last time somebody did that to me, I immediately paid the card in full and closed the account. To be honest, I closed the account because the collection agent was so rude that I no longer wanted to do business with them.

In the first place, they should make sure that the statement of account gets delivered at the right time and at the right mailbox. Secondly, they should not harass the person immediately. I think they should only harass the person, if the person has not been paying the bill for a couple of months already and it would seem that he or she has no intention of paying. That is only the time when they should harass the person. Collection Agencies should really orient their people on how to do their thing.

Remember, we always have options.

Sick Again

My daughter is sick again. She has been coughing endlessly today and she has colds. Actually, we were already warned by her doctor that since she has (nocturnal) asthma every change in the weather will bring about coughs and colds. That is why we should always bring a jacket since the weather is so unpredictable. True enough, there has been a slight change in the weather. It seems to be cooler the past couple of days. Thus, the colds. Hay. I just hope she gets better. I am thinking of whether I should bring her to the doctor tomorrow or should I wait until Thursday. Maybe Thursday since her colds started only today. We should really, REALLY bring her to the beach. They say that salt water will do her good.

Anyways, my mom has been bugging me to use organic stuff for my daughter. She says I can buy it online.. organic shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and others for my daughter. I have been looking for a site but I can't seem to find any yet. I just have to try harder.

A "WOW" Gift

Just got back from the birthday celebration of my brother, Jr. While we were there, my mom, my sister B, my husband and I were discussing about Christmas gifts. My mom was telling us all the things that she wants for Christmas while I told her what I want for Christmas. I was kidding when I told her that she can no longer ask for anything since we already bought a Christmas gift for her. Actually, that's the truth but I would not mind buying her another one such as designer costume jewelry.

Do you know that it is a good idea to give a Holsted Jewelers package for Christmas as you would always get a positive response from your recipients. It is quite safe to say that you will always get a "wow"! No kidding. You might love it so much that you might give yourself a Holsted package for yourself too.

Are You A Vampire Or A Werewolf?

My gash! This is very timely. I just couldn't resist taking the test. I have been discussing some points of Twilight and New Moon with my sister B. I hope she gets to see this and take the test too. Haha!

I am so glad that I am a...

You Are a Vampire

You are charming, sensual, and even a bit manipulative.

You can't help but get people to do what you want.

You have sharp senses and a strong predatory instinct.

You go after what you want, without mercy.

While you have the heart of a killer, many people are drawn to you.

You are elegant, timeless, and mysterious. You are the ultimate fantasy object.

Are You a Vampire or a Werewolf?

Oh Edward! I can be a vampire too.

Are You Messy?

The quiz says that I am...

You Are a Little Messy

You aren't the cleanest person in the world, but you're definitely not a slob.

You clean up when you have the time, but you're realistic about what you can get done.

Generally, you're pretty organized and tidy - though you may have a few hidden messes.

You eventually get around to making things spotless, but you do it on your own schedule!

Actually, I think I am very messy but since we have help in doing the chores around the house, I became a little messy. Hehehe. Is that cheating?

Anyways, I am sure lucky that we live in a country where we can afford to have help because doing the dirty work at home can really take a toll on a person.

More Gift Ideas

If you have to know, I haven't finished with my Christmas shopping yet. It has been very exhausting to me and to my wallet. Hahaha! This is the time when you wish you have fewer friends and family members. Joke! Seriously, I still have a few names that's left on my list. And they are mostly male members of the family (mine and hubby's). To be honest, I find it hard to shop for men. My husband would always tease me about it all the time. I think it must be the reason why God gave me a daughter instead of a son. Hahaha. So I am thinking of giving the following personalized holiday gifts to our (male) relatives:
  1. Personalized pens that have engraved text;
  2. Business card flash drives
  3. Personalized thumb drives
  4. Wooden usb flash drives
I think the items mentioned above are perfect for men. It is useful and practical. It also doesn't cost much which is perfect for our budget. Hahaha!

Even if I am not a man, I would appreciate it if I receive one those personalized thumb drives. Hahaha! You can never get enough thumb drives.

It's Time To Give

Christmas is all about giving. So what I am teaching my daughter is how important it is to give to the less fortunate. And so the perfect opportunity presented itself since we have been spending our time at Bestsellers lately. My daughter is so into books these days which makes me very happy. Bestsellers is the book store located at the uppermost floor at Robinson's Galleria.

Anyhoo, when we were paying for a couple of my daughter's books. The person at the cashier asked us if we would like to buy books and donate it to kids who do not have any. I actually forgot the title of the program. Haaaaay! Blame it on the epidural. I explained the mechanics to my daughter and she said she wanted to give to kids who do not have books. So we paid for the books and placed the newly bought books inside the box. The box will then be transported to the foundation. My daughter gets to write her name on this paper ornament and hang it on the Christmas Tree at Bestsellers. What can I say, it felt good. I was so proud of my daughter at that moment. And based on the paper ornaments, so many have shared their blessings as well. I hope the kids who receive these books will be able to appreciate them.

Drop by Bestsellers, if you would like to make a difference this Christmas.

Rare Music Collection

Music is part of our lives. I cannot imagine my life without music. I remember when I was little. My parents have this collection of old records that we were not allowed to touch, let alone play. But whenever they were out, we would pick the album that we liked the best and play it using my parent's turntable. Some of the albums even had lyrics on them so we would sing and dance to the tune and watch it the record turn around and around and around.

The turntable and a few of the vinyl records are still existing, hidden in my parents' walk-in closet. Maybe they are trying to protect it from more harm since we never go there unless we look for something. Anyways, I can proudly say that my husband and I have albums of The Beatles, Madonna, Michael Jackson and the Rolling Stones. I hope that we will be able to expand our limited music collection.

I have this friend who is so into those rare CDs that he will be ecstatic if I tell him about this Weston Taylor Collection site. My friend has been looking for a couple of rare records and I am sure he knows about Weston Taylor. Weston Taylor, if you do not have any idea who he is, has the most unbelievable widest music collection like you would not believe. He was able to preserve vinyl records for over 50 years. I can honestly say that this collection of his, is his legacy.

Coffee Break ver 1.47

I was tagged by Jan. Thanks girl. Since I have been Christmas shopping the whole afternoon, this is very timely.

Well, the happiest childhood memory of Christmas was when I was in grade 1, I think. A couple of hours before the eve of Christmas, there was a major blackout. But the electricity came back a few minutes before Christmas eve. And we were all called in to my parents' bedroom and they had all these gifts for us.. game and watch gadgets and all these other toys.

My parents always make it memorable for us each year. That is why Christmas is the one holiday that I really look forward to when I was little.

Thanks for making me remember jan. :)

Got Your Wish Yet?

Have you already thought about your wish? I wish you had because to be honest, Christmas is only a couple of days away. Oh no! Every time I would think about it, I get heart palpitations because I haven't continued with my Christmas shopping. As of today, I have only shopped for some of the kids in my family and my husband's family. Other than that... nada!

Anyways, I am pretty sure, for some of you, you are already halfway there. But let me just ask you... have you shopped for YOUR Christmas gift to yourself? It is important to reward ourselves at the end of the year for the good job that we have done for the entire year.

I am sure you got a wish. Just like what I have previously blogged about, wishes are continuously being granted everyday. The question is have you tried sitting on Santa's virtually lap which includes a photo upload? Check it out. I am telling you, you will be amazed by it. And just like my previous post, the digital photo frames are really ideal for gifts to give out this Christmas. I may probably give one for myself. Haha! You see I always check my laptop for the previous pictures that I take of my daughter. Now I no longer have to do that especially if I have a CEIVA digital frames.

However, there are certain limitations in order to join the contest. Check it out for a chance to win a cash prize of $500.

Parent-Teachers For The Day

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I were assigned to become "parent-teachers" at my daughter's school for a day. I actually thought we were just going to observe because I honestly told the teacher we are too shy to be teachers. The head teacher said that even if we were only going to observe, we have to read a book out loud to the class.

So after much discussion and deliberation, I chose one of my daughter's favorite book which is "Sad Monster, Happy Monster - A Book About Feelings". I chose that book because the kids could wear the monster masks that were included in the book and so the book reading will be sort of interactive. Hahaha!

Suffice to say that we had fun. We expected the worst but my husband and I passed with flying colors. We loved every bit of it. When we got there, we were asked to sit in the front. We sang and danced to several children songs. We read the book. We facilitated the drawing and the constructive play session thing and others.

We got to be a part of my daughter's school day. We had the chance to see her with her classmates and her teachers. I even saw my daughter lead the class prayer. So yey!

Though I must say that one time is enough for my heart and I guess my husband's as well. Haha!

Making Options For Myself

If you have noticed I have been blogging less frequently these days. I have been looking for ways to improve myself. I am even checking out several sites where I can enroll at and get an online degree. There is this one university which I really like. Honestly, I have no idea what I will do once my daughter goes to school full time. So I want to be qualified for all the options that will be available to me in the future.

Don't get me wrong. I still want to stay at home though and be with my daughter all the time. But whenever she is at school I want to be busy myself and learn a little something too. Right now, she is away for 3 hours so that's 3 hours of "ME" time. This is the time where I can learn something. I do not want to waste it anymore by doing nothing.

So if you are interested too, like me, check out Capella University.

My Independent Baby

Do you know that my daughter has been sleeping by herself for the past couple of weeks already? She has her own bed and she sleeps on it. She refuses to sleep with us even if we beg her to. I have been having a hard time with it. Always checking up on her every hour or so that there was a time when my husband told me to just sleep beside her so I could get a good night's rest. Hahaha!

Maybe this is a phase that I will get over really soon but I really miss hugging her at night and smelling her hair. This is definitely a milestone for her. She is 4 and she sleeps by herself already. There was a time when she needed me to hug her before she can even sleep at night. I used to complain about it. Now, she sleeps without even asking for me.

What's Your Wish?

What's your wish this Christmas? What is that one thing that you have always wanted to have but you still do not have it because of one reason or another? I have a lot on my wish list. I know I have been a good girl this year and so I hope that Santa will be able to give me even just one item on my wish list.

Have you tried Got a Wish Sweeepstakes just yet? Just like the "real" Santa, you will be able to sit on a virtual Santa and ask for your wish. It is that easy. Who knows? Maybe that is the key to get what you wish for. I tried it and I was amazed at how my wish got in Santa's list. I was so surprised that I called my husband because I was really in Santa's list. You should try it, you would be so amazed.

Come to think of it, I will probably get one of those CEIVA digital photo frames that Santa was using. It is going to be easy sharing photos among friends and family. Maybe I should ask for that particular item from him this Christmas. Maybe that is what I should wish for. Oh no! Another item ON my wish list.

And the list keeps getting longer...and longer.
