Make Up Essentials

pretty blogger participants: 1. 100% Kelly 2. A Reality Bite 3. My Views On My So Called Life

Tagged by Gracie and just to let you guys know, I am a pretty low maintenance gal. I barely wear make-up. So to answer this tag, this is what I use daily whenever we go out so as to avoid looking like a ghost:

1. Body Shop Pressed Face Powder2. Body Shop Lip And Cheek Stain
Actually, that's it. That's what I wear daily on my face whenever I go out. Sometimes you can add this to the list

3. Body Shop Glow Enhancer

So that's it.. pretty simple.. hehehe. But that's how I take care of my skin by not placing too much gunk on it. Actually dakilang tamad lang ako.

Let me see your make-up essentials: cez, may, mel and mama meeya

Caring Is Definitely Sharing

It is time to be proactive when it comes to taking care of ourselves. Women have always been the stronger sex. Aside from that we have the ability within ourselves to cure certain types of diseases. We did not know that back then but now we know that we can take care of ourselves as well as our love ones who are afflicted with diabetes, heart disease, stroke and others. This is About the Science and we should be grateful that more and more discoveries are coming each and every day that would help cure the afflicted. Each and every woman has the ability to share monthly what is being thrown away before. Every little thing has its purpose.

So I am asking you to just take a look at what C'elle can offer you and the people around you. Don't just take my word for it, just read the testimonials of C'elle Client Testimonial.

Thinking Of Getting Cisco Certification

I guess now that I am a stay-at-home mom, it is about time I should think of learning new things and undergo through different types of training. One of the trainings that I am thinking of learning is Cisco so I can get one of those much coveted Cisco certification. My husband who is in IT has undergone through Cisco training early this year or was it last year? Anyways, he was able to take it and he already has his certificate. Having knowledge in Cisco and having the certificate adds points to your value as an IT professional. I am not in IT but if I can learn Cisco, I would. Now more than ever, especially when the IT talents here in our country are depleting because of migration. Aside from Cisco I would love to learn other programming languages so that when the time comes when my daughter goes to school the whole day (a couple of years from now), I can have the option to start a new career myself and I will be equipped with my Cisco Certificate and the other certificates of other trainings that I also plan to attend after Cisco.

Besides, I do not want to have a stale mind. So I want to learn many things as much as I can especially now when I have the time to do so. Although I know that I will find it challenging to learn something that is totally alien to me. I know that I can do it with the right training and the right training vendor. And of course, just like driving a car, I have to practice after the training itself so I will not be able to forget the principles and of course the application of the principles behind Cisco. And just like a riding a bike, you just never forget once you have learned how to do it.

High School Musical On Ice

As mentioned in my previous post, we watched High School Musical On Ice together with a couple of my daughter's cousins. So instead of having a party, I chose to spend for tickets on HSM on ice para maiba naman. Tutal she will be with the cousins that she is closest with. What can I say? It was well worth it. As she was singing and clapping and waving her hands to the cast of HSM on ice. As in pati ako, di ko napigilan ang sarili kong kumanta. Har har har!

Oh and a side kwento, my daughter was the one who chose her outfit for the show (haha! as if kasama sa show anoh?!)

A Daughter's Prayer

My daughter prays at night before she goes to sleep. Whenever I hear her pray, I get so emotional because I would hear her thanking the Lord for giving us money to buy her toys and food and clothes. And then she would ask for a baby brother and she would tell Jesus how she does not have a brother to play with that is why she needs one. If you would hear her, your heart will surely break as she is longing to have a brother to play with.

My heart longs for a baby brother too (and I am sure my husband is too) and so my daughter is not alone in this. My husband longs for somebody whom he can play ball with and teach courting techniques. I know that he hopes he will be able to buy Baseball Gloves for his son someday. I, myself, would like to see somebody whom my daughter can play with. Somebody who will protect her from harm. I used to long for an older brother when I was small so I guess I somehow know the feeling of longing for something that isn't there (yet).

Although having a baby girl is equally fine too especially if that is what will be given to us.

Window Shopping For Shoes

So I was not traumatized with the last purchase online. And so I will continue to shop online. Hahaha! I found that it keeps me updated when it comes to fashion as most of the stuff that I have been buying are not available yet here in the Philippines. So I have been window shopping online (again) and I found these great boots that I think will fit my daughter. She has just seen them and she says she likes the Hobbit Tic Tac Toe. Check out Blowfish Shoes and you will know what I am talking about and I know you will find a pair (or two) that will fit you. :)

I just love all the Blowfish Women's Shoes and I will buy all of them if I have the means to. My husband will kill me if I buy all of them though so I will probably buy one or two at a time until I get all of the styles.

Don't be surprised with what Blowfish has because the shoes are all Blowfish Designer Shoes. It comes from famous brands such as Esprit, Aerosoles, David Aaron and others.

Her 4th Birthday Dance

I hope I can be able to rest this weekend, so I might not be able to blog. Hehehe. So I will just leave you with the dance that my daughter did at home on her birthday. She looked so adorable as she tries so hard to grind. Lol! Well, isa lang masasabi ko.. mana kasi sya sa mommy. :P Anyways, happy weekend!

Matthew Is Back In His Father's Arms

Just to give you a bit of good news...if you haven't heard yet.. Matthew has been reunited with his father. Yey!!!

YOU ARE MATTHEW DAVID?S HEROES

For almost 3 horrifying days, I thought I would never have the courage to
look at Chuchu's photos without shedding buckets of tears. Whenever I scan
my laptop for photos of him to be used for the flyers we distribute all
over Metro Manila; I can't help but to burst into tears; no make it sobs
which only provide temporary relief to the agonizing pain I felt every
time I think of what could have happened to my precious little boy.

Whenever I close my eyes, which have denied me of sleep for 3 days,
pictures of my Chuchu would appear, his disarming smile, his funny antics,
the way he makes this hand sign and shout "OCK ON" which he actually meant
"ROCK ON!" I could still hear him call me "YEYE", his own funny way of
calling me "DADDY".
The way he would wake me up in the middle of the night for his usual
midnight treat "FRIME FRIME". (An instance when his infant formula was all
consumed up, so to pacify him, I gave him a small dose of my mom's ENERVON
PRIME in choco. Yes go ahead and sue me! hehe!). Apparently, he liked it
even better than his usual milk drink. So I bought him a chocolate
flavored formula...formulate d for kids this time. He was there with me,
all mine to love and nurture.

Until he was abducted.

Believe me, you don't want to go through what I have gone through.

Waking up at night imagining where your kid is, where is he sleeping. What
is he eating? Who will wash him after taking a poo? What would have been
on his young mind waking up and suddenly everything is different. Would he
cry and call our names? Or would he just keep still and accept the fact
that this is his fate. That this is how life is supposed to be. Imagine a
3 year old kid absorbing all those confusing, horrible thoughts. Kids his
age shouldn't be exposed to such cruelty. They are supposed to play, eat,
sleep and then play again.

Up until now, the past 3 days will be a complete mystery for me. Because
he can't even speak straight, I wonder, where did he sleep? Did he take a
bath? Was he maltreated? Abused? What was going on in his mind all those
time? Did he feel that we abandoned him? It kills me every time I imagine
my precious child walking on dark alleys, begging for food and drink.
Alone and no one to protect him...

If only I can, I would make him forget those horrible 2 and a half days.
If I have the power to clear off his mind, I would not even bat an
eyelash. His physical state might be perfect, but what about his emotional
and mental state? \
In his usual "kastitaloy" language, he told me that every time he would
walk away from the group, THAT girl would pull his ears so bad that when I
looked at it, it is still swollen and red. He was picked up on the markets
of Sta Rosa Laguna, almost falling asleep, as one witness say. Apparently,
they start begging as early as 5am.

I still cry whenever I imagine him being subjected to such cruelty. He
hasn't done anything wrong. He is still an angel.

I still have to deal with the demons of those cruel 3 days.

But inspite of the traumatic experience, FINALLY, Chuchu is with ME.

And I want to thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for helping
Chuchu find his way back home. For the prayers, reposting, linking of this
blog, your connections with the media and government agencies. People from
all walks of life united in goal. To bring back my son safe and sound.
Looking on the bright side of things, Chuchu brought out the good that was
hidden in all of us for so long. Suddenly, we remembered praying,
Suddenly, we began caring for people we don't even know. We became
compassionate, understanding and vigilant.

If not for you people, he could have ended as a beggar all his life.

A drug addict.
A denizen in the street.
A pickpocket.
Or it could have ended a life of an innocent child.

If not for your unwavering support, Chuchu will not be here with us.

So in gratitude, I will make sure, that Chuchu, will have the best that
life could possibly offer. I will make sure that he gets the best
education, the skills. I will hone him to become a good member of the
society. I will shower him the love, care and most of all PROTECTION from
evil. You can mark my word on that.

Those past few days was a nightmare for me, I often thought that, people
have really, really gone bad this time. But seeing Chuchu sleeping so
comfortably in his room with his stuffed toys and what-have-yous; I thank
God that there is still GOOD in this world.

And it was shown through you guys.

So let me thank you from the bottom of my heart, for giving me the chance
to provide my son with the best future that I can offer.

And together, let's all look at his photos. But this time, with HAPPINESS
and LOVE in our hearts.

THANK YOU DEAR GOD,

AND THANK YOU... MY SON'S HEROES.
This is the video...

I LOVE HAPPY ENDINGS!!!

Be Careful With Money And Coins

I just remembered I still have a couple of Singapore dollars in my bag. If I have it exchanged now, I can shop for a couple of items for myself and my daughter. Ack! I think I am a certified shopaholic as I have been buying her items everyday for this week.

Anyways, speaking of money, we should always be careful of fraudulent money. I know that scammers are working hard to produce fake money and fake coins as it has been in the news lately. Actually, if you come to think about it, it is not only paper money and coins that they are duplicating but also gold and silver coins. I know of some people who collect certified coins. They know it is a good investment as this has been the mode for bartering since the olden days. When it comes to gold and silver coins, only get certified ones.

A Strong Cup Of Coffee Award

Thanks Gail for this. I can somehow understand why you are giving this to me as I am always at Starbucks every day. Although, I can't consider myself as a coffee drinker as I always order hot tea. Hehehe!

Have a cup Honey, Mel, Maver and Cecille.

On Cable TV Shopping

If there is one thing I can probably get someone who has everything already, like my dad. I should get him a presidential dollar as a gift. I do not have to search high and low for it as I can get it easily at Cable Shopping Network. All I have to do is watch and call to order. Actually, there are a whole lot of things that I can get there for my dad as they always feature unique items at CSN.

Actually, if you think about it, if you are looking for gifts all you have to do is watch tv. That is just one way where you can save up. You can save up on gas and you do not waste your energy and more money at the mall. Let's face it, it's so hard to pass up on impulsive buying when we are at the mall.

This Is A Must For Me

As you all know I have finally learned how to drive a car as I have been driving my daughter to and from school and then to a couple of malls (har har har!). This is much to my husband’s dismay. Anyways, I know that I have been driving but I know I have to learn the parts of the car for me to understand how it works and then if something happens to it. I would at least have an idea on how what’s wrong and if I have any chance of fixing it or if I would need additional professional help. I was never a damsel in distress as I do not like depending on others for help. Besides waiting for help is the torturous part. So I know I have to learn about Radiators and the other parts of the car. And I know I should know where I should get it from if it gets busted.

Good thing we will always have the world wide web for reference. As I have found a site called radiators.com.

Cheska's Birthday Handa

After she picked out her gifts, which you can read here. We went straight home. Since it was just us, all we had for her birthday meryenda celebration at home was fried chicken, spaghetti, cake and ice cream. Everybody she cared about was there, even her tita jula who does not go home during weekdays but stays at her condo unit in makati.

Nakakatawa coz everytime somebody would arrive, she would blow her birthday candles all over again even if the cake has already been cut. So I think she did the blowing of candles for about 6 times. Hahaha!

Just some of her well-wishers:

Tagged Again!

I was tagged by Maia about a week ago. Sorry it took me so long to answer this one.

The rules are simple. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blog and leaves a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.

  1. What was I doing 10 years ago? I was a Recruitment Assistant, so probably interviewing and administering entrance exams.
  2. What are the 5 things on my to-do list today?
    • Drive my daughter to and from school
    • Finish my articles on women's shrugs, I think I have 6 or 7 (400-word) articles to do today.
    • Finish my expiring opps
    • Buy medicine for my daughter. Ubos na kasi. Hehehe.
    • Play with my daughter (sometimes I don't get to play with her anymore)
  3. Snacks I enjoy: Lay's Chips Cheese Flavor, Chocolates, Ice Cream and Cake
  4. Place where I lived: Marikina, Manila (dorm for 4 years)
  5. Things I’d do if I were a billionaire:
    • I would secure my daughter's future
    • Buy lands for investment
    • Travel around the world with all the family members in tow
    • Have my own foundation (for abused kids)
  6. People I want to know more about: Gail, Em, Honey, Cee, Juliet and Gracie

Can Possibly Be The One

I still haven't found my daughter's baby book. It is so frustrating. Her vaccination records are all there and now I can't find it. I know she is complete but the doctor wants to see it first. Her doctor is a new doctor you see. Her old pedia doctor went to the USA and we have been looking for a replacement. I think we found the doctor that we like. The only problem is the baby book.

Anyways, I see that she is also a techie doctor. So I hope that she has her PDA CME too.

Looking For Matthew

When I read about this, in one of my egroups, grabe I was so scared for him and for my daughter too. I know this was featured in TV Patrol last night but I was not able to watch it.

Anyways, I would like to help the family by copying the letter of the tita and pasting it here. I hope they do not mind me pasting a picture of the boy too. Let us help them by being on the look-out for the boy and thru prayers.

This is the letter of the tita who was with him when he was abducted at Festival Mall.

My pamangkin, Kuya Ken's son Matthew, where we took the other half of the business namesake was abducted last night at Festival Mall in Alabang.

Name: Matthew" Chu-chu" David Samudio
Age: 3 Years Old, Can barely speak straight.
Address: 16 guyabano st umali rd. summitville subdivision putatan muntinlupa city 1770

He was last seen at Tom's World Arcade in Festival Mall Alabang, around 8pm yesterday July 22, 2008 wearing Green Checkered Polo, Maong pants and Green Mr. Bean Slippers.

When we reviewed the surveillance camera in said mall, there was this chubby impoverished looking girl around 12-13 years old wearing a dirtied pink top with floral design and a reddish jogging pants who summoned my nephew and then whispered something to him, then my pamangkin who is very "bibo" readily took her hand as they went out of the said premises.

Guys, I need your help with this, if you know people in the media, police or government agency who might be able to HELP us locate my nephew, I'm begging you, please, please help us. Or at the very least, please pass this message to as many people as possible, who knows where the abductors might have taken him... Matthew is a very sickly kid, he rarely eats unless his yaya feeds him and he was about to have an operation for fluid in his right testis.

If there are any news or lead that can locate my nephew, please help us... Sobrang kawawa ang pamangkin ko, who knows how they are treating him...I dont want this thing happening to any kid so please help my nephew. PLEASE. You can contact my brother at 0923-638-4632.

Thank you so much and God Bless you!

Am I Really Considering Going Back?

Since the tides are changing, I might as well consider school mba as one of my options. What do I have to lose when we are talking about me learning something right? My dad wanted me to take my masterals right after my college graduation. My elder sister wanted me take masterals when she was studying her masterals as well. I never really saw the use for it then. But then again, MBA is always a right choice whether I plan to go back to the corporate world or not.

Speaking of going back, two of my former officemates have been bugging me about going back to the corporate world as they have an opening for me. I politely declined as I feel that it is too soon for me to go back. But I do not want to say never, maybe someday.

Cheska With Tita Mavic

Thanks Tita Mavic for being with me on my birthday! Thanks for the toy dog! I love it and as promised I do not go out anymore to play with the dogs :) as I already have my pet toy dog.

This picture was taken after the birthday class celebration of cheska. You see after school, we went to the mall (even if she wanted to go home already - haha!) because we wanted her to choose her gifts. So we ate lunch at Pancake House (my daughter's birthday lunch) and then proceeded to Toys R Us for her gifts and then we went home for the home celebration.
... the tides are changing...

How To Have Carpal Tunnel Relief

A friend of mine before she resigned from the company where I am also a resignee (hehehe) had a minor operation on her hand. She had what the doctors call a carpal tunnel syndrome. She noticed that there was something wrong with her wrist when she was always feeling a little numb in that area and there was a small bump that seemed to be getting bigger everyday. You see, she was the payroll processor of the company and that would entail her and her fingers to be always typing something at the computer. Her wrists were always bent I guess. So just before she left the office she had an operation.

What she did not know then was there is a glove that can give carpal tunnel relief. This glove is actually called a Smart Glove. I am thinking of getting one myself too. You all know how I am always in front of my laptop doing writing about some stuff. Almost all of my waking hours are spent in front of the computer. So by getting myself a Smart Glove, I will be able to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome from happening to me. Plus, it increases comfort and blood circulation in that area. And the best thing of all, it is affordable. I might as well give these out to my friends and relatives who have arthritis. Hahaha!

Expect one this Christmas friends!

Cheska's Birthday Celebration At School

Since it was raining the day before my daughter's birthday, I was afraid that there might be an announcement the next day regarding cancellation of classes. So I called McDonalds, party perks and others telling them that they should wait for my call the next day, verifying if my daughter's classroom party will push thru. The next day it was sunny... so I called them all up and told them that the plans will push thru.

So ayun na, my daughter was able to celebrate her birthday at school. Hehehe. So they ate, they sang the birthday song, etc. I was surprised to find out that almost all of her classmates gave her gifts.. She has about 13 classmates. To cut the story short, she was happy that she celebrated her birthday at school and she told me already that she wants to celebrate every year at school.

Cheska's Birthday Cakes

Aargh, I do not have a yaya yet for my daughter so I am doing everything that I can, blogging and my online job have to take a backseat for now as I am a mom first and foremost. I do not even grab any opps because I know I will not be able to do them. So those who asked for link exchanges and tags, I will do a little for the week. Don't worry as everything is right here. :)

Anyways, everything pushed thru with my daughter's celebration from her school party to the high school musical on ice thing.

So for now, let me just leave you pictures of her 2 birthday cakes that we brought at school and cupcakes that we distributed at school. One whole cake we left for the teachers to eat, the other one we brought back home.

Aside from these, she also has this large chocolate cake that we ordered for home consumption. Hahaha!

High School Musical On Ice

As part of my daughter's 4th birthday celebration, and as part of our gift to our daughter, we will be bringing her and her cousins (both my side and my hubby's side) to Araneta Coliseum tomorrow for High School Musical On Ice. We all know how she loves High School Musical. Anyways, I promised her that we will watch HSM On Ice after she was able to watch Disney On Ice last January. This is just a wish granted even if the price is pretty steep. I bought 10 tickets for the lowest seats that we could find.. The lower the seats, the more expensive it is right... Just imagine how much we spent for those 10 tickets because we will be seated at the lowest of the low. I can't wait. I know my daughter will be dancing and singing tomorrow. Hahahah!
Anyways, what's important is, my daughter will have fun tomorrow and that's all that matters to me. :)

Happy Birthday Cheska! Love you!

Busy Mommy

So sorry you guys, for not updating. Ever since my kid's birthday, everything was in disarray. So I no longer have time to blog and I sleep at the early hours of the morning just to finish my online job as well as my blogging love. I barely have enough sleep. If before, I sleep at 1 or 2 in the morning, just imagine what's left of my sleeping hours. This is due to the fact that my daughter's nanny left after my daughter's birthday. So I have to be with her all the time. Plus, I have to take care of her more because my daughter is somewhat sick. She has an infection and she seems to be developing this skin rash that is located just above her ear and it's spreading! So we brought her to the doctor yesterday and the doctor would like to see her again on saturday. She has 2 oral medicines and 1 ointment. That is how serious it is. I was so surprised. I thought it was just a rash and it would go away by itself.

*sigh*

So I am here at starbucks again, waiting for my daughter's classes to end. I have to do my online job as well as my expiring tasks.. Too much, too little.

Will My Daughter's School Party Push Through Tom?

I called McDonalds today as there might be a chance for school suspension tomorrow. I think there is a typhoon at the outskirts of Luzon. I am not so sure. So I already called up McDonalds and told them to wait for my verification call tomorrow.

Party Perks, my daughter's balloon supplier, also called me a couple of minutes after the call with Mcdo since she was also verifying my orders. She told me I should also give her a holler with regards to the status of my daughter's school party. I can't do anything about the cake though so my husband and I will be getting her 2 cakes and 20 plus plus pieces of dora cupcakes tomorrow.

So I do not know yet if my daughter's school party will push through tomorrow. This will all depend if she has school. Haha! Anyways, things happen for a reason and if she does not have classes we will still celebrate her birthday at home. Her school party can be done on the 16th. I just need to coordinate with McDonalds and Party Perks. All the other items will be with me. And if she has classes tomorrow, then everything will push through.

Getting Back That 20/20 Vision

I was searching for things that I need to write about for my online job when I stumbled about this piece of information that is so valuable that I think will change my sister's life and not just her but me too as well as all those other people who do not have 20/20 perfect vision. My sister wears contacts lenses for as long as I can remember and even before that she wore glasses. She was so cute when she was a kid and all the adults around us would just cuddle her as she wore those big rimmed glasses.

What I am talking about is LASIK information. It is the most popular elective vision procedure today. Although this procedure has been in existence for 10 years. And the thing is if you do not have 20/20 vision, you will have the chance to get that perfect vision. Plus, undergoing through this procedure is safe. That over 32 million people worldwide already had that surgery. So many people will benefit from Lasik and myself as I am having trouble with my vision lately. I long for my 20/20 vision that I had all my life. I lost it probably because I spend almost all of my time in front of my laptop. So now I have the choice to get it back again.

My Online Payments

I am so proud of the fact that I have not used my credit cards ever since I resigned or even way before I resigned. So if you count it, it has been more than half a year already. Ever since a friend told me how she uses her debit cards to pay for groceries instead of cash I found myself paying with my debit cards too. I hardly make use of my credit cards. I don't lug around with too much cash because I can't keep track of how much I spend each day. With debit cards, I can at least limit my spendings. I don't pay at the bank too, I make do with online payments. I also pay my mom's bills online too so she does not have to go to payment centers too. So this is one way in which you can save money on gas by making use of online facility payment centers. Plus, I do not like withdrawing money from atms and then going to banks or payment facilities centers. You can never tell you know especially since people are getting desperate with money or the lack of it.

If you do not have any idea on online payments, check out www.epayarea.com, so you will be able to have an idea on how to go about electronic payment. It is really the right solution for everybody. And more and more people are making use of this and they should because it is easier and safer. I never encountered any problems with online payments for 5 years now. And that's the truth.

So gone are the days of lining up at the bank or any payment facility centers. Gone are the days of rushing through everything just so you can go to the bank before it closes for the day.

A Close Encounter Of The Nth Kind

Yesterday, after the parent-teacher conference that I attended with my husband I decided to work at one of the coffee shops in the mall so I can pass by Toys R Us and buy some additional items for the lootbags of my daughter and I planned to buy her some workbooks that I want to make her do at home. You see medyo bitin pa sya sa homework assignments nya. Hehehe. More of this to blog later on. Hahaha. Para di mawala sa focus.

Anyways, so I was carrying heavy workbooks, coloring books and bedtime books to read for my daughter and then the additional items for her party loot bags plus clothes for me. Haha! So sobrang hebigat meyn kasi I was carrying my laptop and my purse din! I sent a message thru text to my husband asking if we can go home and if I should proceed to the parking lot (7th floor of our office buidling). It was not far you see kasi sobrang katabi lang ng mall. For you to understand, I did not want to go by myself and I did not want to walk pa nga sa premises ng office or even kahit sa malapit lang ng area. Why? Because the guard at the office (where I used to work for before) killed himself last Tuesday, 5 am, at the office. So since I can see (sometimes) I know that he just MIGHT show himself because he was the HR guard for 3 years when our office was still at Tektite (Philippine Stock Exchange).

Anyways, so while I was walking towards our office I kept on repeating to myself.. "di naman sya magpapakita sakin". Basta yan lang paulit ulit. So ayun.. when I got to the elevators for the parking, I waited for other people na pwede kong sabayan. You see kasi when we transferred to the Robinsons-Equitable Bank Tower, he became the roaming guard. So he would roam the corridors of the 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st and the 7th floor (parking level of the company). Whenever he would see me, he would hold the elevator doors, open the car door for me and others. So ayun, ayaw ko magisa.. but of course pagdating sa 7th floor, I was the only one there. When I saw Manong Ruel, the guard who is presently assigned at the parking, I even said to him.. "Manong, natatakot ako." (Ay, all this was happening na walang text message ang asawa ko.) So I went to the car, took the long way because I was avoiding the sofa that still had bits and pieces of his brain. Yun pala, I passed the sofa.. I thought kasi it was in the middle where I can take the short route to our car. So alam nyo yun kulang nalang horror movie music.. pero ang kalabog ng dibdib ko... grabe. I was regretting talaga na I bought all those things tsaka I thought sana nagstay nalang ako sa fiorgelato where I could have waited for my husband. So I said, I will just put my things in the car, tapos Ill run to the guard sa may elevator. Anyways, would you believe I could not find the keys inside my bag... so I was rummaging my bag for the keys that seem to have disappeared when I looked up, I saw a guard wearing a blue guard hat behind another car that was beside our car. It was only for a second but I saw him. Hay naku, with all the stuff that I was carrying, I ran back only to meet my (ex-)officemate in the middle. Suske buti nalang. Tapos my husband pala was waiting for me and he was chatting with the guard pero I arrived earlier than him. Haller! Di naman natatakot yung asawa ko diba?! Hahahaha! Kasi the (ex)officemate that I was talking to said that he is already there chatting with the guard.

I learned later on from my husband that, the place where I saw him was his favorite spot. He likes to look out from there. I did not know that. Basta yun lang. Sabi ko I swear di muna ako pupunta sa parking.. yun lang. Iscayri!

My Daughter's 4th Birthday Party Lootbags

Actually, I have already prepared for my daughter's lootbags to give out on her birthday (to her classmates). So that's on Tuesday next week. Actually, I still want to fill it up, so I plan to buy more stuff tomorrow at Toys R Us after the scheduled PTC. You see that's where I bought the other items too. When you are rushed, where else do you go but either Toys R Us Or Toy Kingdom. I was able to segregate and put it in each of the bags because my husband took our daughter somewhere so I had time alone.

I hope the kids will be able to enjoy the toys and stickers that are inside the lootbags. Hehe. That reminds me I have to order at McDonalds tomorrow for their food on Tuesday.

How You Can Earn From Blogging

So many people have been asking me about blogging and how they can earn from it. Well, if you are a visitor of this blog, you have seen opps on my blog now and again. Grabbing opps can be a lot of hard work, you have to be online at the right time for you to get one. And that is not the only thing that you should consider, you should also have high speed internet access because you have a lot of competition, all over the world. Imagine everybody grabbing that one piece of candy, if you are not fast enough, you will not be able to get it. So you have to have high speed internet access for those times that you have an opportunity that is available to you. So get Charter internet. It has up to 5Mbps to surf up to 90X faster than 56kbps dial- up and 3X as fast as 1.5Mbps DSL! If you know what that means, you know that it is fast. You can actually download in seconds... take note, that is in seconds and not in minutes. Plus it offers protection from hackers and viruses and spam. There are many benefits that charter internet offers.

You will know the difference once you get Charter and I am sure you will never go back.

Birthday Invitations Sent Out Today And My Daughter's First Pajama Party

So my daughter's birthday celebration will be next week. I have already given out the invitations today because they do not have classes tomorrow because of another PTC (one on one parent-teacher conference). Actually, my daughter's teacher asked if I can give her the invitations so she can attach it on the assignment notebooks.
Apparently, my daughter is excited because her teacher told me that she keeps on telling her classmates that her birthday is next week and she is going to celebrate it in class. Hehe.

She also had her very first pajama party in school today as they were required to bring jammies and a teddy bear. She chose her pink teddy bear. She has lots you see. She chose this one because of the color but I know if given a chance she would rather have bought her cabbage patch doll. Anyways, they were all so cute as I saw them leaving the school wearing their jammies. I wish I was able to take a picture especially my daughter playing at the playground with her friend pao pao both were still wearing their jammies.
a very lucky teddy

My Daily Starbucks Fill * Cross Post*

Everyday, on a weekday, I go to starbucks blue wave, which is very near my daughter's school. That is where I wait for her and that is where I do my online job for three hours straight. The people there know me now. The guard knows me too as I can always leave my laptop on the table and go for a wiwi break.

I think starbucks may also be the reason why I am so fat these days. You should see me.. never been fatter in all my life. Aside from the frappuccino or the slice of chocolate that I eat everyday, they also give me free starbucks frap mixes. Who am I to wave the free stuff away? Hahaha! So tomorrow, my resolution is not to pass by starbucks and go straight home. I can always go back to fetch my daughter right? Let's see if I can let the urge pass me by. Haha!
~~~~~~~
Actually today, I was also given a free cookie aside from the free starbucks. Hahaha! I don't know if I should be grateful or I should avoid starbucks altogether because of the calories.
Another Proud Pinoy Moment
One of my egroups emailed me this morning regarding a filipina who is making her way to the top in news and tv broadcasting. Congratulations Ms. Elaine Quijano! She is so pretty noh?
Filipina shines as CNN’s White House reporter
Elaine Quijano
Elaine Quijano
Filipina-American Elaine Quijano is one of CNN’s most important reporters, as she covers the most powerful head of state in the world.
Quijano is the White House correspondent for CNN responsible for covering the activities of the president and the administration, domestically and internationally. Named to this position in January 2006, she is based in the network’s Washington, D.C., bureau.
According to the CNN website, Quijano joined CNN Newsource in December 2000 as a Washington, D.C.-based correspondent and in 2004, became a general assignment correspondent for CNN/U.S.
Since 2000, Quijano has filed reports on such stories as the inauguration of President George W. Bush, Bush’s 2005 trips to Asia and Argentina, the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Washington, D.C.-area sniper pursuit and capture as well as the continuing coverage of the ongoing war on terrorism.
Throughout the 2004 election year, Quijano traveled with Bush, covering the campaign trail, his time in Washington, D.C., Crawford, Texas and stops throughout the United States.
In the spring of 2003, Quijano traveled to Kuwait City, where she remained for one month to report on the war in Iraq for CNN. During September 2003, Quijano reported live as Hurricane Isabel lashed the North Carolina coastline, and in February 2003, she was part of the team of correspondents that covered the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy.
Quijano joined CNN Newsource after working as a general assignment reporter for WFTS-TV in Tampa, Fla. Before that, she worked as a reporter/producer for WCIA-TV in Champaign, Ill.
Quijano earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Illinois.
Hark Daughters Of The Great St. Paul
Remember when I told you that one of the schools that we will eventually enroll my daughter in is Miriam. Well I am having a change of heart as I saw my sister bex' blog, pointing to chicco's (of rx) blog. Surprise! Surprise!
Suffice to say! I am so proud that they chose SPCP to teach to. I know that the paulinians will have a lot to learn. And I know these students will have the time of their lives! Grabe. I listen to them every morning (when I am awake) and I pretty much learn a lot. Speaking of which, when I was in 2nd year high school at St. Paul Pasig, one of my teachers, was Plinky Recto. She taught lit and she got into trouble for introducing a book that one of my classmate's mommy did not approve of. So ayun first and last year na ata nya yun nag teach. Pero feeling "Dead Poets Society" ang drama namin non. Hahaha except we were all girls instead of boys. She had a lot to teach and she had a lot to say then. The nuns were so strict then. I heard they are even more strict now.
I don't think much of St. Paul PASIG ever since I graduated high school. Grabe I spent kinder 1 to 4th year high school at that place and siguro if they were offering college courses baka I would have spent my college years there too. Hahaha! So when I graduated from St. Paul Pasig, ayun.. takot ako sa boys! Eh no interaction with boys tapos I have 5 sisters and 2 brothers na medyo bunso pa. Hahahaha. I remember my parents wanted to enroll me in Assumption para pati college all girls pa din. Pero that's another blog post. Hehehe. Anyways, nakapagreminisce tuloy ako. Those were the days.
Ang masasabi ko lang ay..Kakainggit naman! Hahahaha......
"Hark daughters Of The Great St. Paul. Come listen to his call... O children of thy loving school, the loving nurse of all. Rejoice in God do work and play. Be true from day to day. Beloved school of mine. Our days and joys are thine. My childhood's early dreams. Are closely linked with Thee......"
I remember we would always place emphasize on the word pasig... like St. Paul PASIG. Hahahaha!
On Home Improvement Loan
A friend of mine has recently gotten herself a Home improvement loan. She told me about the site so I can look at Home improvement loans too. I checked it out and the great thing about it is there is already a part at the top where you can state the amount that you want for an unsecured home improvement loan. So you can choose from $10K to $150K. Aside from that you can check if you pre qualify.
It definitely saves you a whole lot of trouble.
Havaianas On Sex And The City
I haven't seen the movie yet but when I saw the newsletter, I found it so cool, that I have to post it here. It's been awhile since I last posted anything that resembles an H. Hahaha! Although my H's and my C's are all I wear these days.
Check it out... Look at what Charlotte is holding a picture of.
Apart from their impeccable fashion sense and eclectic style, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda have much in common with Havaianas: their love for all things fun, functional, and fashionable. And there’s nothing like an endorsement from the fabulous foursome of HBO’s Sex and the City to seal a fashion staple’s style status: check out Park Avenue Princess Charlotte York, played by actress Kristin Davis, at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week toting the Havaianas “Candy” ad in her hands.
The “Candy” ad campaign was created by Brazilian agency AlmapBBDO especially for the United States. Its special appearance on the big screen version of Sex and the City pleasantly surprised both the agency and Havaianas brand executives.
Definitely cool.
Having A Guide
Do you know that if there is one gadget that I cannot leave the home without? It is my laptop computer. I can leave my cellphone but never my laptop. In fact, I have left my cellphone at home for several occasions already and I did not even notice that I left it.
Anyways, I remember when I was buying this laptop that I have now, I had just finished 11 articles on laptop buying guide and top pc laptop brands. So I somehow had an idea what each spec meant. You will get confused if you do not have some kind of laptop guide to guide your way thru.
So to cut this short, I am just saying that I loved what I bought because I had a guide. Never buy something without one especially if it is a gadget of some kind. Read reviews, read about the specs, have some kind of guide because it will help you decide.
Power Of Prayer
I have always believed in the power of prayer and so this is a nice tag from jing.
Prayer for the MV Princess of the stars fatalities and survivors.
Dear God, we pray that you comfort each bereaved family everyday as they grieved for their loss, we pray that you will supply all their needs, we pray for the survivors that they may have a good life after the tragedy, that you will bless them and let them know in the deepest part of their heart that in spite of what have happened, you LOVE and CARE for them. This we pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
I encourage everyone to keep the prayer going.LET’S P.U.S.H.PRAY UNTILL SOMETHING HAPPENS.
On Hair Care
Just recently, I took my daughter to a salon for a haircut. I badly need one too and a pedicure, footspa, cellophane and a hot oil. But the thing with me is I have so many things to do that I cannot wait that long. And you know how long it takes to have all these. It would probably take 1 day or even half a day. I don't have the luxury of time.
Anyways, my daughter loves to fix my hair and fix the hair of her dolls. If someday she plans to become a hair stylist or a make-up artist, I would not stop her. Provided that she has to give it her best. Plus the fact that I know of a site where it features hair salon jobs. This site connects salon owners and spa owners to those hair stylists that are looking for jobs for free. So this site will definitely help her, if it still exists 20 something years from now. Although, I am sure that it still will.
— The Best Gift Ever —
A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car.Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the young man’s name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his voice to his father and said, “With all your money you give me a Bible?” And stormed out of the house, leaving the Bible.Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care of things. When he arrived at his father’s house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart.He began to search through his father’s important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. His father had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11, “And if ye, being evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly father which is in heaven, give to those who ask Him?” As he read those words, a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer’s name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words… PAID IN FULL.How many times do we miss God’s blessing because they are not packaged as we expected? I trust you enjoyed this. Pass it on to others. Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for…PLS. SEND THIS TO AT LEAST FIVE PEOPLE SO AS TO LET THIS GREAT LESSON FLOW AROUND.End Copy
Lesson I learned: (Write here what your learned): Do not let material things stand in the way of relationships. Sayang the years that the son was so angry at his dad because he thought his dad did not buy what he wanted, when actually it was right there all along. Sayang the relationship, sayang the years and sayang the car! Hahahaha! In other words, it's time for sayang! sayang!
A Romantic Thought
I have been thinking of the title of this certain movie where the star of the show took his date (in the movie) to another country in just one night and they stopped by Rome where there was Rome airport transfer waiting for them. It was so romantic.
I myself would want to experience a date just like that, where you will be whisked off at a private jet and arrive at an airport and a white chauffeured limousine will be waiting for you a couple of steps where you just landed. Of course, champagne will be overflowing. I will be dressed for my part and my husband will dress his part too. Oh what a romantic thought. Haha!
Besides, I have always hated hailing a cab after arriving at a foreign country, dont you? But you will not be able to lug all your luggages and sometimes cabs are your only option except if you planned ahead and ride in style by hiring your own Benz or Audi, whatever rocks your boat. At Rome, anything is possible so I am sure when we get the chance to get to Rome, I will surely avail of that service, even just for a day. I really just want to experience it you know.
Lovin' The Dogs *Cross Post*
This is what my daughter does everyday before she goes off to school. She checks out the dogs. She loves dogs you see and you would hear her calling the puppies every morning. Actually she makes the driver bring it out to her so she can play with them.
I remember this is her first p.e. day. P.E. happens on a friday. She does not have her p.e. uniform yet and so she can wear her "casual clothes" still.
